Most household and remodeling debris can go in your container. New Jersey rules and the county landfill's own list set the limits.
New Jersey's electronic waste law keeps TVs, computers, monitors, laptops, printers, and fax machines out of the trash. The state's e-waste program offers free recycling for many of these devices instead.
The county landfill has its own rules. It no longer accepts concrete, asphalt, or bricks, and it takes appliances, electronics, and tires only from Cumberland County residents. Tires need separate handling in New Jersey, so keep them out of a mixed load.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, propane tanks, car batteries, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster either.
