Home Areas We Service Alaska Porta Potty Rental Fairbanks, Alaska 99701

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Fairbanks, Alaska, and the Interior communities around it. Construction crews racing the short summer building season, road and utility work, downtown events and summer festivals, sled dog races, and cabin projects out past the city limits all need clean units close at hand.
Your price turns on the unit type, how many you need, how long you keep them, and how often a truck comes by to service them. Below you will find local price ranges, how many units to plan for, the City permits that matter here, and how to get your order on site fast.
Each range above is for a standard three-day rental of one unit. Most weekend plans fit inside that window, so a one-day gathering and a full Friday to Sunday booking often land at about the same number.
Longer work is priced another way. A build that runs from spring thaw into fall is usually billed in four-week cycles, with a cleaning visit each week built in.
Season shapes the cost here more than in most towns. Deep winter cold, plowed snow berms, and very short daylight all slow a service truck down, and a unit set up for cold weather use costs more to place and keep clean.
Distance and site access round out the number. A drop on a paved lot near downtown is quick. A cabin lot down a soft gravel road, a mining claim, or a site well out the Steese or Richardson Highway takes far longer to reach. Tell your account manager where the units go and you will get a price that reflects the real drive.

Request a Quote NowStart with how many people will use the units, and for how long. These are the counts we plan around:
Food vendors change the plan. Under the state food code, which the Department of Environmental Conservation writes and enforces, anyone running a temporary food stand at an event open to the public for two hours or more has to make sure public toilets and handwashing are there, sized to the busiest part of the day. Hand rinses go at each unit, so pair your units with handwashing stations.
Summer days run long here, and a crowd that stays out until midnight fills tanks faster than the same crowd would down south. Our porta potty calculator gives you a starting number, and your account manager can adjust it once you share your hours.

Pick by who uses the unit and how long they will be on site. Every option is laid out on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty covers most jobs. It holds a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and hand sanitizer, and it suits crews, small gatherings, and yard work.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a wide door, ground-level entry, grab bars, and floor space to turn a wheelchair. Include one at any event the public can walk into.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty gives guests a flush and stronger odor control. It is the usual step up for weddings and parties.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap, and a mirror right inside, which guests like at family events and near food.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its lights and fan on solar power. That helps at a remote claim, a river camp, or any spot with no generator.
The Handwashing Station is a free-standing sink with fresh water, soap, and towels. Set them by food booths and at busy job sites.
The Restroom Trailer brings several stalls, running water, and heat, which matters a great deal in a Fairbanks shoulder season.
Still weighing the mix? Describe your crowd or crew to your account manager and they will size the order with you.
A unit on private ground, such as your driveway, a cabin lot, or a fenced job site, does not need a City permit. The rules start once the unit touches public space.
Sidewalks and traffic lanes: The City's right-of-way permits cover closing a sidewalk or a lane. The closure application carries a $205.00 fee on approval and asks for a site plan, bonding, and liability insurance. Working without one triples the fee. Call the Engineering Department at 907-459-6741 before you set a delivery date.
Events on City streets: A parade, or any event that closes a street or sidewalk, needs a special event permit. The application costs $210.00 and counts as on time only when it lands 21 calendar days or more ahead of your date, with a traffic safety plan and a map. It goes to Engineering first, then to the Clerk's Office at 800 Cushman Street for payment. That office answers at 907-459-6702.
Events with vendors: A market or festival with food and craft booths also needs a multi-vendor event permit from the Clerk's Office, and the fee climbs once you pass 20 vendors.
Borough parks: Parks, picnic shelters, and gazebos are first-come unless you reserve them. The Borough's park use rules call for a use permit when you want a spot to yourself, and any special setup has to be listed on the rental form. Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation is at 1920 Lathrop Street and answers at 907-459-1070.
State highways: Work or events along the Steese, Richardson, or Parks Highway sit under the state transportation department, which runs right-of-way and highway event permits through its Northern Region office in Fairbanks.
Not sure who controls your spot? Your account manager can point you at the right office before the truck rolls.

Placement makes or breaks a rental in the Interior. Pick firm, level ground. Thawing soil over permafrost can settle under a loaded unit, and a spot that feels solid in March can turn soft in June.
Give the truck a clear run. Our driver needs room to pull alongside, so watch for snow berms, low branches, soft shoulders, and parked rigs. In winter, keep the approach plowed and sanded, or we may not reach the unit at all.
Hold units at least 15 feet away from food service, and keep them clear of wells, sloughs, and storm drains. On a job site, set them within about 200 feet of the work so nobody loses half a break walking.
Most rentals get one service visit a week. The driver pumps the tank, washes the inside, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Heavy crews, hot July weekends, and long festival days often call for more.
What comes out of the tank is treated as septage under state environmental rules, which name portable toilet contents by name. It may only go to a site or facility that holds a state permit or approval for it. The Borough adds its own line for parks, where tank fluids may be emptied only at designated spots. Your account manager can confirm your service days and answer questions about where your waste ends up.

Most Fairbanks orders go out within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days of notice is better, since it lets us stage the right units and plan the drive. Summer weekends are the crunch, so book a wedding, a race, or a festival several weeks out.
These tips keep a delivery on schedule:
Prime Dumpster delivers porta potties across the City of Fairbanks and the wider Fairbanks North Star Borough, including North Pole, College, Badger, Fort Wainwright, Eielson Air Force Base, Ester, Fox, Chena Ridge, Two Rivers, and Salcha. Whether your project sits downtown on Cushman Street or out a gravel road past the Chena River, we plan delivery, service, and pickup around your calendar.

A standard porta potty runs $199–$349 per unit, and an ADA-compliant unit runs $200–$300. Deluxe units land at $300–$400, solar units at $500–$600, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and service frequency move the total. Your account manager confirms every line in your free quote.
Plan 1 unit for every 50 guests at a four-hour event, and add 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served. Long summer evenings here stretch that math, so add a unit for an all-night gathering. Public events should include an accessible unit, and food booths should have a handwashing station nearby.
Federal worker-safety rules set the floor at 1 toilet for a crew of 20 or fewer. Past that, plan 1 toilet and 1 urinal for every 40 workers. Keep the units near the work so your crew is not walking the whole site, and book a weekly cleaning. Your account manager can size the order.
A standard rental includes one visit a week. The driver pumps the tank, scrubs and sanitizes the inside, and refills paper and hand sanitizer. Big crews, warm weather, and multi-day events usually need two or more visits. Tell your account manager your busiest days and the schedule can be built around them.
No. A unit sitting on your own driveway, cabin lot, or fenced job site does not need a City permit in Fairbanks. You do need approval to place one on a sidewalk, a traffic lane, a Borough park, or as part of a street event. Your account manager can help you find the right office.
A standard unit is a compact single stall. An ADA unit is wider, with ground-level entry, grab bars, and enough floor space for a wheelchair to turn. Public events should have at least one in each group of units. Units used only by a construction crew are exempt from that rule.
Weekend rentals are priced on the same three-day basis as the ranges above, so a standard unit runs $199–$349 and a deluxe flushing unit runs $300–$400. A handwashing station adds $150–$250. Your account manager will confirm your delivery window, pickup day, and final weekend price.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will match you with the right units, set a service rhythm that fits the season, and quote you a clear price.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
