Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Meridian
At Prime Dumpster, we rent porta potties throughout Meridian, Idaho, and the Treasure Valley towns beside it. The units cover subdivision and commercial construction along Ten Mile and Chinden, warehouse and distribution work near the interstate, home builds and remodels across north Meridian, and outdoor events of every size, from a park festival to a block party or a weekend tournament.
Pricing follows the unit you choose, the number you take, how long you hold them, and how often a driver cleans them. What follows covers our ranges, how to size the order, which office approves what in Ada County, and how quickly we can be there.
Each range assumes a three-day window, which is how nearly every Meridian party, reunion, and wedding order is written. A single Saturday and a Friday-through-Sunday booking usually settle at the same figure, so hold the dates you actually want.
Site work prices differently. A subdivision phase, a retail shell, or a long remodel is normally set up in four-week cycles with weekly cleaning built in, and the weekly figure drops a long way once it is.
Servicing frequency is the biggest single lever. Each visit empties the tank, cleans the inside, and replaces paper and sanitizer. A July week in the Treasure Valley, or any two-day event with a real crowd, usually earns a second visit.
Site access is the other one. A drop beside a graded road is quick both ways. A unit at the back of a lot, behind a construction fence, or down a dirt spur takes longer to reach and longer to serve, and the quote shows that difference.

Request a Quote NowStart with the number of people and the hours they are on site. Prime Dumpster works to these figures:
Meridian asks for a plan rather than a number, and it asks twice. A temporary use application has to show restrooms on the site plan, and the cleanup plan has to name their removal as well. Neither the City, the highway district, nor the health district publishes a guest-to-unit ratio, so nothing local tells you what a reviewer expects to see. Our porta potty calculator gives you a defensible figure to put on the drawing, and your account manager will size the order to your attendance, your hours, and the removal date you commit to.
Match the model to the people using it. Our porta potty options page shows them together.
The Standard Porta Potty is the unit most Meridian orders are built on. It carries a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer, and it serves trade crews, yard projects, and family gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is the broader model with a level entry, a wide door, interior grab bars, and turning space for a chair. Put one at any gathering the public is invited to.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and far better venting, which is what guests notice at a wedding or an anniversary party.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink has the basin, soap, and mirror inside the stall, so one stop does everything.
The Solar Porta Potty lights and ventilates itself from a roof panel, which suits foothill sites and evening events with no power run.
The Handwashing Station is a stand-alone basin with fresh water, soap, and towels. Put one beside every food vendor and one near a working crew.
The Restroom Trailer carries several plumbed stalls with heating and cooling. Weddings, corporate days, and sites held for months are where it fits.
Undecided? Hand your guest numbers or your crew roster to your account manager and they will assemble the order.
On private ground, including your own yard, a driveway, or a fenced job site, you will not normally need a permit from anybody. Public ground is where Meridian differs from most cities, and the difference matters.
The City does not own the street. In Ada County the roadway, the public sidewalk, and the shoulder belong to the Ada County Highway District. Its permitting page sets out a Temporary Use Permit required for all work within the public right of way, and a separate Special Event Permit for any change in roadway operations, including a street closure for a block party or a race. The district also tells organizers to meet the city's requirements as well as its own. Its office is at 5800 N Meeker Ave in Boise, on 208-387-6100.
The City's own code points the same way. Meridian makes it unlawful to store construction materials or equipment in the public right of way except under a permit issued by the right-of-way agency, which is the highway district rather than City Hall. So on a Meridian job site the curbside question goes to the district first.
Construction sites need no City temporary use permit. Meridian exempts a temporary construction site from that permit, although the site must still be tied to an approved plat, zoning certificate, or building permit, and must not be run in any way that creates a hazard to public health or safety.
Events need a City permit as well as a district approval. A special event needs a temporary use permit from the City Clerk filed at least 30 days ahead, and a large scale special event needs 60 calendar days. Written approval from the Ada County Highway District is a condition of holding the event at all, and so is any applicable permit from Central District Health. The Clerk issues or denies within 21 calendar days, and an appeal has to be filed within 14 days.
Two limits worth knowing before you set dates. A Meridian special event may run for no more than 14 days in any ninety-day period, so a long seasonal market has to be structured around that. Special events are also barred in residential districts, apart from a neighborhood event or block party with a permit, an event that follows a route such as a parade or race, and an event on a property already carrying an allowed nonresidential use. The city code also sets event insurance at $500,000.00 per person and per occurrence for injury and $500,000.00 per occurrence for property damage, with the City named as additional insured.
Not sure whose ground you are standing on? Your account manager can name the right office before a truck is scheduled.
The spot you pick matters more over a month than the model does.
Choose firm, level ground. Treasure Valley sites go dusty in summer and soft after irrigation or a thaw, so leave the driver a straight lane with no low branches, narrow gates, or parked plant in the way.
Set units at least 15 feet from food service and well away from irrigation ditches, laterals, and storm inlets. Crews should not have to walk much more than 200 feet. At an event, break the units into two or three clusters instead of one row, and keep the accessible units on level, firm footing with a clear approach.
A standard rental includes one cleaning visit a week. Big crews, high summer, and multi-day events all point to a shorter cycle.
The waste side runs through the health district. Central District Health covers Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley counties, and it is the body that permits the pumpers who empty portable units, handling applications through its own portal on 208-375-5211. That is why a licensed operator and a permitted disposal point are part of what you are paying for, and it is a good reason not to use an operator who cannot show either. Meridian publishes no receiving terms for hauled waste, so your account manager confirms the disposal point and locks the service schedule with you.

Most Meridian orders can be standing on site inside 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days gives us room to match the units properly. For a summer festival, a graduation, or a large outdoor wedding, allow several weeks, because Treasure Valley demand peaks in the same few weekends.
Five things that keep a delivery smooth:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Meridian and the Treasure Valley communities nearby, including Boise, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Nampa, Caldwell, Garden City, Middleton, and Melba. Whether your site sits in a new subdivision off Linder Road, along the Chinden corridor, or on farm ground south of the freeway, we build the delivery, service, and pickup around your dates.
A standard unit sits at $199–$349 and an accessible unit at $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink models are $300–$400, solar units $500–$600, and a restroom trailer begins at $1,500. The final number turns on how many units, how long, and how often they are serviced. Your account manager quotes it free.
Begin with one unit for each 50 guests across a four-hour window, then add 15 to 20 percent if there is a bar. A 250-guest park event lands around six units. Add a wash station by the food and at least one accessible unit when the public is invited.
Idaho follows the federal construction standard. One facility serves 20 workers or fewer. Above 20, add a toilet seat and a urinal for each 40 workers, and above 200, one of each for each 50. Chemical toilets are accepted where there is no sewer. Tell your account manager when the crew grows.
Once a week is standard. On each visit the driver pumps the tank, washes the bowl and floor, wipes the surfaces, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Larger crews, hot Idaho summers, and busy two-day events usually want two or three visits, and your account manager can set that up.
Normally not. Private ground such as a yard, driveway, or fenced job site needs no permit. A street, sidewalk, or shoulder position is different, because in Ada County that land belongs to the highway district and needs its temporary use permit before anything is placed there.
An ADA unit is wider, has no step at the threshold, and comes with grab bars and clear floor space so a wheelchair can turn inside. A standard unit is a single narrow stall holding a toilet, a urinal, and sanitizer. Any event open to the public should include at least one accessible unit.
A weekend already sits inside the three-day window the ranges above assume. Plan on $199–$349 for a standard unit or $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing one, with a handwashing station at $150–$250. Your account manager sets the delivery hour and the pickup day around your schedule.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will size the order, map the service visits, and get you a figure quickly.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
