Home Areas We Service Idaho Porta Potty Rental Sandpoint, Idaho 83864

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals in Sandpoint, Idaho, and across Bonner County. Home and cabin construction on the hillsides above Lake Pend Oreille, resort and trail work, lakefront weddings, road races, farmers market days, and downtown festival events keep portable toilets moving here from spring thaw through the first snow.
What you pay depends on the units you pick, how many you need, how long they stay out, and how often we service them. Below are the ranges we quote, the counts we plan around, the City rules for public ground, and how far ahead to book.
Every range on that table is built on a standard three-day rental, which covers a normal Sandpoint weekend. A job site is different: those run in four-week blocks with a weekly cleaning included.
The short northern season drives a lot of the price here. Most weddings, races, and festivals land between June and September, and that is when units are scarce. Booking in winter for a July date is not early, it is sensible.
Site access is the other local factor. A downtown block or a paved lot near the highway is easy. A build partway up a mountain road, a lakeside parcel with a narrow drive, or a property off a gravel county road takes longer for the truck, and that shows in the quote.
Add-ons round out the number. Handwashing stations near food, accessible units for anything open to the public, and extra cleanings during a busy weekend all count. Your account manager will break it down before you decide.

Request a Quote NowStart from headcount and duration, then adjust for the details. Here's how we size an order:
Sandpoint sets its own floor for permitted events. The City decides the number of portable toilets from estimated peak attendance, and the event organizer arranges and pays for them. Our porta potty calculator gets you close, and your account manager can match that number to what the City asks for.

Choose by who uses it and for how long. Details on every model sit on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is the default for job sites, trail work, and small gatherings. Toilet, urinal, paper holder, and hand sanitizer inside.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a wider door, level entry, grab bars, and turning space. Sandpoint expects one at any event where just a single unit is placed, so this one comes up often.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flush and better odor control, which is the right call for a lakeside wedding or a ticketed concert.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries a sink, soap, and mirror inside the unit, handy where space for a separate station is tight.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from the sun. That suits a remote homesite, a forest road project, or an evening event with no power drop.
The Handwashing Station is a standalone sink with fresh water, soap, and towels. Food booths and bigger crews both need one nearby.
The Restroom Trailer gives you several stalls, running water, and climate control, which matters when a September evening turns cold.
Unsure how to split the order? Your account manager can build the mix from your headcount and venue.
On private property, a unit in your driveway, yard, or fenced job site normally needs no City permit. Public ground and state highway shoulders are where approvals kick in.
For temporary use of the City right-of-way, Sandpoint issues an encroachment permit through the City Engineer. Planning and Community Development takes the first call at 208-263-3370. If your spot is along US-95 or Highway 200, the right-of-way belongs to the state instead, and any use other than travel needs an Idaho Transportation Department permit.
Events on public ground need a special event permit. It covers festivals, concerts, parades, races, rallies, sporting tournaments, and gatherings in a park, an outdoor recreation area, a public parking lot, or the right-of-way. File it at least 21 days ahead. Between 21 and 14 days you pay a late penalty, between 14 and 7 days the penalty doubles, and inside 7 days the City won't process it at all. You can apply up to a year out, so do.
Two conditions shape your order directly. First, the City sets your toilet count from peak attendance and expects you to supply the units. Second, at least 10 percent of the portable restrooms have to be accessible, placed on ground with no more than a 2 percent cross-slope, with an accessible route to each one. If you place only one restroom at a spot, that one has to be the accessible model. The same thinking applies to sinks and sanitizing stations.
Food vendors bring their own rules. They fall under Panhandle Health District permitting, which recommends applying three weeks out and refuses anything inside 72 hours. Each booth needs a handwashing setup with warm water, soap, paper towels, and a bucket for the used water, and vendors must have working restrooms with hot and cold water for washing up after using the toilet. Your account manager can help you line the units up with those requirements.

Pick firm, level ground with a straight run in for the truck. Spring runoff and lake-effect moisture leave soft spots well into May, and a gravel drive that held a pickup may not hold a service vehicle. In winter, make sure the route is plowed and the door swing stays clear of banked snow.
Keep at least 15 feet between units and any food service, and stay well back from the lake, creeks, ditches, and storm inlets. On a job site, place units within about 200 feet of the work. At an event, break them into small groups so no single line grows, and give the accessible unit the flattest, firmest footing you have.
Standard service is one visit a week. The driver pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Festival weekends and large crews often need more, and your account manager can schedule extra visits before, during, or right after your peak.
Idaho treats what comes out of a portable toilet as domestic septage, and the state's health districts administer the rules through licensed pumpers. Up here that is Panhandle Health District, which licenses installers and pumpers across the five northern counties. From there the load goes to a sewage treatment plant or an approved land application site, never to the ground or a ditch.

Most orders here are delivered within 24 to 48 hours once they're booked. Three to five days of notice is better. For a summer weekend, a wedding, or anything tied to a festival, think in weeks, since the City's own 21-day event deadline already sets your earliest sensible date.
Five steps that keep it simple:
Prime Dumpster delivers throughout Sandpoint, from downtown and City Beach out to the Schweitzer road, the Long Bridge, and the neighborhoods along Boyer and Division. We cover the rest of Bonner County too, including Ponderay, Dover, Kootenai, Sagle, Hope, Clark Fork, Priest River, and the Selle and Colburn valleys north of town. Lake lot or logging road, we plan the route before the truck rolls.

A standard unit averages $199 to $349, and an ADA-compliant unit $200 to $300. Deluxe flushing and sink models are $300 to $400, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and how often we clean them set the final figure, which your account manager confirms in a free quote.
Start with 1 unit for every 50 guests over four hours, then add 15 to 20 percent for alcohol. For a permitted Sandpoint event, the City sets the count from your peak attendance, and at least one in ten units has to be accessible. Add a handwashing station next to any food service.
Federal rules apply directly in Idaho. A crew of 20 or fewer needs at least 1 toilet, and above that it's 1 toilet and 1 urinal per 40 workers. Put the units close to where the crew is working, book a weekly cleaning, and update your account manager whenever the crew grows.
A weekly visit is standard. Our driver pumps the tank, washes and sanitizes the inside, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Busy festival weekends, big crews, and hot August days can call for a second visit. Tell your account manager which days are heaviest and the schedule gets built around them.
Usually not. A unit on your own lot, driveway, or job site in Sandpoint needs no City permit. You will need approval if it sits in the City right-of-way, in a park, along a state highway, or as part of a permitted event. Your account manager can help you work out which office to call.
A standard unit is a compact stall with a toilet, urinal, and sanitizer. An ADA unit is wider, enters at ground level, and has grab bars plus turning room for a wheelchair. Sandpoint wants at least one in ten event units accessible, and a single unit at a location has to be the accessible one.
Weekend rentals follow the standard three-day period, so one Saturday usually costs about what the full weekend does. Standard units run $199 to $349, deluxe units $300 to $400, and handwashing stations $150 to $250. Your account manager will confirm the drop time, the pickup, and the total.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll pick the right units, set a cleaning schedule that fits your season, and give you a clear number before we hang up.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
