Minnesota does not publish a single statewide banned-materials table, so in Andover the limits come from the state's product rules, the City's own code and what the receiving facility will take.
Keep out hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, motor oil, antifreeze, pesticides and asbestos. Electronics, fluorescent and HID bulbs, propane tanks, automotive batteries and household batteries all need their own route rather than a container.
Andover's own code puts a duty on the generator as well as on us. No person may place refuse, recyclables or yard waste in any street or public place, or on any private property, except in proper containers for collection, and burying refuse in the city is not allowed. In practice that means the container is the compliant answer rather than a pile on the lot.
Appliances, mattresses, tires and anything holding free liquid are each priced and handled separately. Mention them when you book and your account manager will arrange them properly instead of risking a rejected load.
