Home Areas We Service Maryland Porta Potty Rental Baltimore, Maryland 21215

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Baltimore, Maryland, and the neighborhoods and job sites all around the city. Rowhouse gut jobs in Park Heights and Hampden, big construction sites downtown and along the harbor, street festivals and harbor events, race weekends at Pimlico, church and block parties, and marina work on the Patapsco all lean on portable toilets here.
What you pay comes down to the unit type, how many you need, how long they stay on site, and how often a truck services them. Below you will find price ranges for Baltimore, how many units to plan for, the City permits and fees that apply, and how to get units delivered fast.
The ranges above each cover a standard three-day rental of one unit. A weekend festival or a Saturday block party sits neatly inside that, so booking Friday through Sunday rarely costs more than booking the single day.
Construction runs on a different clock. A city job site is usually billed in four-week cycles with a weekly cleaning visit, which works for a rowhouse rehab that stretches across a season.
City placement adds a wrinkle you will not find in the suburbs. If the unit cannot sit on the lot, it has to go in the street, the curb lane, or the alley, and that means a City permit with its own weekly charge on top of your rental.
Access shapes the rest. A wide lot in Canton is easy. A narrow one-way block with parked cars on both sides, an alley behind a rowhouse, or a gated harbor site all take the driver longer, both on delivery day and at every service visit. Walk your site with your account manager and you will get a price built on the real conditions.

Maryland enforces those construction rules through its own workplace safety program, which adopts the federal standards and layers on state-only requirements, among them a heat stress standard. On a Baltimore rooftop in August that matters, and shaded, well-serviced units are part of keeping a crew comfortable.
Food service adds another line. Any vendor preparing and selling or giving away food at a public event needs a City license, and a handwashing station beside the booths is the simplest way to meet the expectation.
Run your numbers through our porta potty calculator, then let your account manager sanity-check the count against your layout.

The right unit depends on who uses it and where it sits. Every model is compared on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is the default for crews and casual gatherings. Inside are a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and hand sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, with level entry, grab bars, and turning room for a wheelchair. Plan on one at any event open to the public.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flush and better odor control, which guests notice at a wedding or a company picnic.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries a sink, soap, and a mirror inside, a favorite at family events and near food.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from the sun, which helps on a waterfront site or a lot with no power drop.
The Handwashing Station is a stand-alone sink with fresh water, soap, and towels. Place one at each food area and at busy job sites.
The Restroom Trailer has several stalls, running water, and climate control, and it fits a harbor wedding or a corporate event far better than single units.
Not sure what the day calls for? Give your account manager the guest count and the site, and they will build the mix.
If the unit stays on private ground, such as a back yard, a parking pad, or a fenced job site, you do not need a City permit. Everything past the property line is City right-of-way, and Baltimore permits that closely.
Streets, alleys, and sidewalks: The City's transportation department issues temporary use of right-of-way permits for storage containers, sidewalk closures, alley closures, and street or lane closures. Applications go through the City's online permitting portal, and standard processing takes 15 days, so file early.
What that costs: The published fee schedule charges $55.00 a week for a sidewalk closure, $65.00 a week for a curb lane or alley closure, and $85.00 a week for a street closure. Those charges sit on top of your rental, so tell your account manager early if the unit has to live in the street.
Public events: Festivals, parades, foot races, demonstrations, and larger block parties are special events, and a complete application is due at least six weeks ahead. The application fee climbs as the date nears, from $80 more than ten weeks out to $125 between ten and eight weeks and $250 between eight and six weeks, with a possible half-price break for a non-profit partner.
Smaller gatherings: A private block party under 200 people on a quiet residential street, with no sales and an end by 9 pm, uses a simpler block party form. A private park event under 250 guests with no amplified sound goes to the Department of Recreation and Parks. Every Inner Harbor event needs a full special event permit.
Food vendors: A temporary food service facility license from the Health Department covers events of 14 days or less. The form is due at least 15 days ahead with a $50.00 fee, and each booth needs its own. The Bureau of Environmental Health is at 1001 E. Fayette Street and answers at 410-396-4425.
State highways: Inside the city line there are no state highway administration roads, so City offices handle almost everything. The toll interstates are the exception and belong to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
If you are unsure which office covers your block, your account manager can help you find it before delivery day.

Choose a flat, firm spot. A brick alley, a paved pad, or a gravel corner all hold a loaded unit better than soft ground beside a fresh excavation.
Give the truck a way in. Our driver needs clearance to pull alongside, which is the hard part on a tight rowhouse block. Reserve the space, keep cars off it, and tell us about low wires, dumpster placement, and narrow alley turns before delivery day.
Keep units at least 15 feet from any food service and well clear of storm drains, since everything in a Baltimore drain heads for the harbor. On a job site, set units within about 200 feet of the crew.
Every standard rental includes a weekly service visit. The driver pumps the tank, cleans and disinfects the unit, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Big crews, warm weeks, and festival weekends often want two or more.
The tank contents are handled as septage. Baltimore runs two wastewater treatment plants, Back River and Patapsco, and a hauler that wants to unload at the septage receiving station at Back River applies for a scavenger vehicle permit tag from the City. Maryland also requires a state permit for anyone transporting or disposing of septage. Your account manager can confirm your service days and walk you through how the waste is handled.

Most Baltimore orders are delivered inside 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days is more comfortable, and anything tied to a festival weekend, race day, or a marathon route should be booked weeks out.
These five moves keep delivery on track:
Prime Dumpster delivers porta potties across Baltimore, from Park Heights and Pimlico to Hampden, Federal Hill, Canton, Fells Point, Mount Vernon, Highlandtown, and Cherry Hill, and out into the nearby Baltimore County communities of Towson, Catonsville, Dundalk, and Pikesville. Whether the job is a rowhouse rehab, a harbor event, or a warehouse site off the Beltway, we plan delivery, service, and pickup around your schedule.

A standard porta potty averages $199–$349 per unit, an ADA-compliant unit $200–$300, and deluxe units $300–$400. Solar units run $500–$600 and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and cleaning schedule set your total, and a street placement permit adds a City charge. Your account manager confirms it all.
Plan 1 unit for every 50 guests at a four-hour event, and add 15 to 20 percent if alcohol is served. A 300-guest festival works out to six units, plus at least one accessible unit and a handwashing station by the food. All-day events and summer heat call for more.
Federal construction rules, which Maryland enforces through its own program, set 1 toilet for a crew of 20 or fewer. Past 20 workers, plan 1 toilet and 1 urinal for every 40. Keep the units near the work and book a weekly cleaning. Your account manager can size the order to your crew.
A standard rental includes one visit each week. The driver pumps the tank, washes and disinfects the inside, and restocks paper and hand sanitizer. Larger crews, long festivals, and hot Baltimore summers usually need two visits or more. Your account manager can set the schedule around your busiest days.
No. A unit on your own yard, parking pad, or fenced job site needs no City permit. You do need a temporary use of right-of-way permit to place one on a street, alley, or sidewalk, and that takes about 15 days plus a weekly fee. Your account manager can help you start it.
A standard unit is a narrow single stall. An ADA unit is wider, with a flat entry, grab bars, and floor space for a wheelchair to turn around. Events open to the public should include one in each group of units. Units used only by a construction crew are exempt from that rule.
Weekend rentals use the same three-day basis as the ranges above, so a standard unit runs $199–$349 and a deluxe flushing unit runs $300–$400. A handwashing station adds $150–$250. Your account manager will confirm drop-off and pickup windows along with your weekend price.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will pick the right units, tell you whether your spot needs a City permit, and quote a clear price.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
