Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals throughout Sparks, Nevada, the Washoe County city just east of Reno along the Truckee River, for warehouse and industrial park construction, new housing on the city's edges, Victorian Square festivals, rib cook-off crowds, ball tournaments and backyard events. Your account manager handles the Sparks units, service visits and pickup through one call or text.
Nevada writes event restroom rules at the state level, including a separate permit for multi-day gatherings, and those apply in Sparks whatever the city adds. This guide covers our prices, the Nevada event table, the mass gathering permit, the federal crew count for job sites, and why the county event permit you may find online does not cover an event inside Sparks.
Event length matters most in a Sparks quote. A one evening concert and a four day festival with the same daily crowd need very different counts and visit schedules under Nevada's rules.
Industrial work comes next. Sparks warehouse builds run large crews for months, and steady weekly service on a long rental keeps the weekly cost down.
Weather is the third factor. High desert wind, summer heat and winter cold all reach Sparks, and each changes how often a unit needs a visit.

Request a Quote NowSparks has a state answer for events and a federal one for crews.
Nevada sets a floor for any special event. The state's health rules carry a special event toilet table keyed to peak hourly attendance and how long guests stay. For a crowd staying about four hours, the table reads 5 units for up to 500 people, 8 for 501 to 1,000, 12 for 1,001 to 2,000 and 16 for 2,001 to 3,000. Toilets must serve both workers and guests, and the health authority will review your count on request.
Our planning figure is higher. For Sparks events we plan one unit per 50 guests over about four hours, plus 15 to 20 percent with alcohol, and order to whichever number is larger.
Sparks job sites keep the federal count. Nevada carries one asterisk on the federal state plans index, so a Sparks city crew and a private builder answer to the same state plan. The Nevada plan summary lists sanitation among its unique standards only under general industry, and its construction list is cranes, steel erection and asbestos. So a Sparks builder uses the federal construction sanitation table:
Accessible units should be about one in twenty at public events under the federal design standards.
The porta potty calculator gives a Sparks starting point, checked by your account manager against the state table.
Sparks orders split between industrial crews and big summer events. See all models on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty serves a Sparks warehouse or housing crew.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty keeps a Sparks festival accessible.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty suits a river park wedding or a sponsor tent.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink gives Sparks guests a basin inside.
The Solar Porta Potty runs at an industrial pad with no power yet.
The Handwashing Station belongs at food rows, where Nevada also requires handwashing for food preparers.
The Restroom Trailer brings heat or air conditioning to a long project office or a reception.
Share the Sparks crowd, the hours and the address with your account manager.
On private Sparks property, a unit for your own job or party usually needs no permit. Public space and long gatherings change that.
A long outdoor gathering needs a state health permit. Nevada treats an outdoor assembly of 500 or more people a day, running 20 or more hours a day for more than three days at a site without permanent restrooms, as a temporary mass gathering. The organizer applies to the health authority 30 days ahead with a site plan showing the location, type and number of toilets and handwashing facilities and the name of the provider, and needs at least one handwashing facility at each group of toilets.
The county event permit stops at the city line. Washoe County's special or temporary events page says "Events in unincorporated Washoe County require approval from local public safety agencies", with applications due 30 days ahead for under 100 attendees and 90 days for larger events. That route covers county land outside Sparks, not an event inside the city.
The City of Sparks website refused our reader. Both of the city's web addresses turned away every request, and the city code is posted with a publisher that asks automated readers not to visit. So we make no claim about a Sparks street, park or event permit. The regional health district's website also failed its security check on our side and theirs. Your account manager confirms the right Sparks office before any public placement.
Nevada service rules travel with every Sparks unit.
Cleaned at least every 7 days. Nevada requires the inside of each portable toilet to be cleaned at least once a week, more often as needed.
Operator name on the unit. Each unit must show the service operator's name and telephone number.
Licensed pumping. Nevada requires a permit to service nonsewered toilets and a pumping contractor permit to empty them. Prime Dumpster arranges Sparks units through local partners who hold both.
Anchor against wind. Strap or stake units on open Sparks lots.
Plan the truck route. Leave a clear lane to each unit, and keep units back from food booths with handwashing between.

Most Sparks orders arrive within 24 to 48 hours. Allow three to five days for restroom trailers or many ADA units, and two to four weeks for summer festival weekends. A multi-day gathering needs its state health permit filed 30 days out.
Five habits that keep a Sparks order on time:
Prime Dumpster arranges service in Sparks and across northern Nevada, including Gardnerville to the south. Reno, Carson City and Fernley are served as well, and their distances are being matched with those pages before they join the list.
A standard Sparks unit runs $199–$349 and an ADA unit $200–$300. Flushing and sink units cost $300–$400, solar units $500–$600 and restroom trailers from $1,500. Event length, crew size, weather and visits set the Sparks total.
Nevada's table sets a floor, for example 8 units for 501 to 1,000 guests staying about four hours. We plan one unit per 50 guests over that time, plus 15 to 20 percent with alcohol, and order the higher figure.
Sparks job sites follow the federal table, which Nevada leaves in place for construction: one toilet facility for twenty workers or fewer, one seat and one urinal per forty above that, and one of each per fifty from two hundred.
Nevada requires each unit's interior to be cleaned at least every 7 days, so weekly is the Sparks minimum. Festivals and large crews need more. Each visit pumps the tank and restocks supplies.
On private Sparks property, usually not. A multi-day gathering of 500 or more needs a state health permit, and any public placement needs the City of Sparks, which your account manager confirms.
A standard Sparks unit is a compact cabin with a toilet, urinal and sanitizer. An ADA unit has a level entry, grab bars and turning room for a wheelchair. Public events in Sparks should include one.
A Sparks weekend rental follows the same ranges: $199–$349 for a standard unit, $300–$400 for a flushing unit and $150–$250 for a handwashing station. Your account manager confirms Sparks delivery, any weekend visit and pickup.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. Your account manager checks the Nevada table, the gathering permit and the city office for your Sparks plan.
