Normal building debris loads without trouble: lumber, drywall, plaster, lath, roofing, flooring, cabinets, fixtures, carpet and general cleanout material.
The City adds a separation duty that most places leave to the hauler. In Hazleton it is a violation to put construction and demolition debris, hazardous waste or a lead acid battery into mixed household waste, bulky waste or recyclables. So the remodel material has to be kept out of the household stream, which is exactly what a container does for you.
Hazardous material stays out in every case: paint, solvents, fuel, used oil, asbestos, pesticides and anything holding refrigerant. Lead acid batteries have their own route to a retailer, a wholesaler or an authorized recycling facility, and electronics are handled separately as well.
Tires and large appliances are priced on their own at most receiving sites, so tell your account manager about them at the booking stage instead of letting them become an overage.
