Portable Toilet Rentals in Bella Vista, Arkansas

Three days on site is the basis for those Bella Vista figures, and a Friday to Sunday hold usually costs the same as a single Saturday.

Terrain is what makes Bella Vista different from the flatter towns nearby. A lot that drops steeply off the road, or a trailhead reached by a single-lane spur, costs a driver time, and that shows in both delivery and service pricing. Picking a spot with a straight approach is the easiest saving here.

Trail and race work is the other local pattern, and those jobs spread across several drop points rather than one, so expect a quote built on multiple stops.

Month-long construction work is priced in four-week blocks with weekly service included, and the weekly share of the invoice eases once the first block is done.

How Many Porta Potties Do I Need in Bella Vista, AR?

Two separate questions, and Arkansas answers the job site one while the City leaves the event one open.

  • Arkansas has no workplace safety plan of its own. OSHA's state plan list does not include Arkansas, so federal rules apply directly on a Bella Vista job site and no state table can override them.
  • The federal count, then: one facility for 20 workers or fewer, then one toilet seat and one urinal for every 40 workers above that, and one of each per 50 workers once you pass 200. The table is in the federal sanitation rule.
  • Chemical toilets are named in the rule as an accepted answer where a job site has no sanitary sewer, which covers most new construction in the Bella Vista hills.
  • Sinks are required nationwide. The same federal rule calls for lavatories at every place of employment with hot and cold or tepid water, soap, and individual towels. That is not an Arkansas specialty, it is the floor everywhere, and we quote accordingly.
  • The exemption: a mobile crew with transport readily available to nearby toilets is outside the count. A fixed site is not.
  • Events: no City ratio exists. Bella Vista requires you to put portable restroom facilities on your course map, but it sets no number per attendee. We will not invent one or borrow Bentonville's.
  • Our own planning figure: one unit per 50 guests over about four hours, 15 to 20 percent more where alcohol is served, at least one accessible unit at anything open to the public, and a handwashing station wherever food is served. Accessible models follow the federal design standards.
  • For a trail race, think in segments. A point-to-point course needs units at the start, the finish, and any aid station where people wait, which means more drop points than a single-venue event of the same size.

Our porta potty calculator will get you a first figure. Your account manager will then work through the course or the crew with you before anything is booked.

Which Porta Potty Is Right for Your Project in Bella Vista, AR?

Choose by who uses it and how long they are there. Everything is set out on the porta potty options page.

The Standard Porta Potty is the usual pick for a Bella Vista build or a trailhead: a private stall with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer.

The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, enters level with no step, and has grab bars with wheelchair turning space. A level entry needs level ground, which takes planning on a sloped lot here.

The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and much better odor control, which guests appreciate at a wedding or a club function.

The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries a sink, soap, and a mirror inside the stall, so guests do not have to walk to a separate station.

The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from a roof panel, which is the practical answer at a remote trailhead or a wooded lot with no service yet.

The Handwashing Station covers the federal lavatory requirement on a job site and keeps a food area clean at an event, with water, soap, and single-use towels and no plumbing.

The Restroom Trailer brings several private stalls, running water, and climate control, which is the right call for a wedding or a long-running project. Give your account manager the crew size or the guest count and they will build the mix.

Do I Need a Permit for a Porta Potty in Bella Vista, AR?

On private ground, no. Bella Vista issues no permit for a portable toilet on your own lot, your driveway, or inside a fenced job site. Where the City is unusually clear is what may not sit in the street.

Private property and job sites: keep the unit inside your property line and off the public way. Where a building permit is in place, the unit is part of the site setup.

The right of way, and this is a short list: the City publishes that a property owner must get permission through a right-of-way use permit before placing anything in the City's right of way, and that only a few improvements are permissible there, namely flowers, shrubs and grass. A portable toilet is not on that list. Treat a Bella Vista street placement as something Public Works has to agree to in advance, and plan on private ground instead.

State highways are tighter still. Highways 71, 340 and 279 are state right of way, and the City says plainly that very little is permissible there and that both state approval and a City permit may be needed.

Know where the line is. The City describes its dedicated right of way as typically 40 feet between lot lines, with a prescriptive strip beyond the pavement where the road surface runs outside the platted lines, so measure before setting a unit near the curb.

Events, and a threshold worth reading carefully. The City's police page says an event permit is needed to assemble ten or more people on city-owned property or in a right of way. The City code, amended in September 2025, is more precise: ten or more makes it a parade, while a special event is one intended to attract 25 or more. The code is the more specific and more recent instrument, so that is the split we work to.

The event timetable is firm: a complete application, including the final route map, the non-refundable fee and any deposit, is due at least 60 days before the date. For anything that crosses a road, a pre-application conference with the Police Department is required first, and the City recommends booking that meeting 90 days out, because an application without a police-approved course will be denied.

Costs the City publishes: the application fee is $50.00 per day, and a trail event carries a $500.00 clean-up deposit, refundable once the City is satisfied. No deposit applies to events off the trails. Both figures sit in the City's own special event application.

Your units go on the map: the course map has to show and label aid stations, water stations, portable bathroom facilities and medical tents. So the restroom plan has to exist before the paperwork goes in.

Three more rules that shape a day: no special event may run between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., residents must be notified at least five days ahead where a course runs through their streets, and police services carry a two-hour minimum per officer. Your account manager can line the delivery and pickup up with that.

Porta Potty Placement and Servicing in Bella Vista, AR

Level, firm ground first, and a straight approach for the truck second. On a steep Ozark lot that usually means building a small pad, because a unit out of level does not drain or seal properly. Keep units at least 15 feet from food service, back from creeks and the lakes, and inside about 200 feet of the crew on a job site. At a trail event, put them where a vehicle can reach them.

Weekly service is our baseline, with extra visits for heavy use or hot weather, and each visit pumps the tank, washes the interior, and restocks paper, soap and towels.

Arkansas is strict about what happens next, and it protects you. The state licenses anyone who cleans portable toilets or hauls sewage, and the contents of a portable toilet count as untreated sewage that may never be land-applied under any circumstances. The only lawful disposal is into a public sewer system the license holder has a contract for, and that contract has to be on file with the state health department. The state also specifies the equipment: a welded, leak and splash-proof tank plus separate tanks for wash-down solution and disinfectant, the firm name, license number and tank capacity on each side in letters at least four inches high, an annual inspection with the tank full, and a bound log recording every unit pumped and where the waste went. Your account manager will confirm the schedule and the disposal route before delivery.

How Fast Can You Get a Porta Potty in Bella Vista, AR?

Most Bella Vista orders can be on site within 24 to 48 hours, and three to five days lets us bring the exact models you want. For a race weekend or a wedding, allow several weeks. If the event needs a City permit, the real clock is the 60-day application and the police meeting before it.

Five habits that keep a Bella Vista delivery smooth:

  • Book the police meeting first. No approved course means no approved application.
  • Work back 60 days. That is the hard floor for a complete event application.
  • Keep it off the right of way. Flowers, shrubs and grass are what the City allows there.
  • Build a level pad. Sloped Ozark lots are the main cause of placement problems here.
  • Map the units. The City requires portable restroom locations on the course map.

Bella Vista, AR Porta Potty Questions

How much does a porta potty rental cost in Bella Vista, AR?

Plan on $199–$349 for a standard unit and $200–$300 for an accessible one. Deluxe flushing and sink models are $300–$400, solar units $500–$600, and a restroom trailer starts at $1,500. Add $150–$250 for a handwashing station, which federal rules expect on every job site.

How many porta potties do I need for a party or event?

Bella Vista sets no ratio, so we start from one unit per 50 guests across about four hours and add 15 to 20 percent where alcohol is served. For a trail race, count drop points rather than people, since the start, finish, and each aid station all need their own units.

How many porta potties does a construction site need?

Arkansas has no workplace plan of its own, so the federal table applies: one facility up to 20 workers, then one toilet seat and one urinal for every 40 workers, and one of each per 50 above 200. Chemical toilets are specifically accepted where there is no sewer on site.

How often do porta potties get cleaned?

Weekly is standard on Bella Vista jobs and events, and we add visits for hot weather or heavy use. Each visit empties the tank, cleans the interior, and restocks paper, soap, and towels. Arkansas requires the operator to log every unit pumped and record where the waste was taken.

Do I need a permit to put a porta potty on my property?

No. The City issues no permit for a portable toilet on private ground, including a driveway or a fenced job site. Keep it inside your property line. A unit in the City right of way is a different matter, and the City's published list of what belongs there is flowers, shrubs and grass.

What is the difference between a standard and an ADA porta potty?

A standard unit is one narrow stall with a toilet, a urinal, and sanitizer. The accessible model is wider, enters level with no step, and has grab bars and clear floor space for a wheelchair to turn. On a sloped Bella Vista site, an accessible unit needs a level pad to work properly.

How much is a porta potty for a weekend?

Weekend pricing is the base case, because our ranges assume three days. Budget $199–$349 for a standard unit, $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing model, and $150–$250 for a handwashing station. Your account manager will fix the delivery window and the pickup day around your event.
