Home Areas We Service Indiana Porta Potty Rental Crown Point, Indiana 46307

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Crown Point, Indiana, and the Lake County towns around it. Our units show up on construction sites in the subdivisions spreading south of 109th, on remodels around the historic courthouse square, at youth tournaments and county fair week, and at the parades, car cruises, and farmers market event dates the City runs downtown.
Your total depends on the kind of unit, how many you take, how long you keep them, and how often we come to clean. Below are the price ranges, the unit counts we work from, what Crown Point and Lake County ask for, and how fast we can deliver.
Each range above is based on a standard three-day rental. That is how we write almost every event order in Crown Point, and it means a one-day graduation party and a full weekend usually cost the same.
Construction work prices on a longer clock. A new-build street or a commercial shell near Broadway normally runs in four-week cycles with a weekly cleaning visit included, which is a lot cheaper per week than short event pricing.
Cleaning frequency is the next factor. One visit pumps the tank, scrubs the unit, and restocks it. A packed tournament weekend at Bulldog Park or a crew working through a July heat wave usually needs more than one.
Finally, the drop spot shapes the price. A gravel pad beside a finished street is easy. A unit at the back of a muddy lot, inside a locked construction fence, or out on a farm lane past the county line takes extra time. Tell your account manager what the approach looks like and the quote will match reality.

Request a Quote NowWork from the number of people and the number of hours. Here is what Prime Dumpster plans around:
Neither the City nor the county publishes a guest-to-unit ratio, so these are our planning numbers rather than a local rule. Add units for long days, big crowds, and hot weekends. Our porta potty calculator gives you a fast estimate, and your account manager will refine it.

Pick the unit around the people who will use it. Everything we carry is listed on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is the everyday unit, with a toilet, urinal, paper holder, and sanitizer inside. It fits crews, yard work, and smaller gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a level entry, a wide door, grab bars, and room to turn a wheelchair. Add one to any event open to the public.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes and holds odor down, which guests appreciate at a wedding or a milestone party.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink keeps a sink, soap, and mirror inside the unit, handy at family gatherings and near food.
The Solar Porta Potty lights and ventilates itself on solar power, useful on farm ground, trail work, and evening events with no power nearby.
The Handwashing Station is a stand-alone sink with fresh water, soap, and towels. One belongs at every food area.
The Restroom Trailer gives you several stalls, running water, and climate control, the right call for weddings, company events, and long builds.
Not sure yet? Walk your plan through with your account manager and they will sort the mix.
On private ground, like your own yard, a driveway, a farm field, or a fenced job site, you normally need no City permit for a unit. Public ground works differently.
Streets, alleys, and public places: Crown Point's own code makes it unlawful to encumber a city street, alley, or public place without a permit from the Board of Public Works and Safety, which wants a map of the work and a statement of why it is needed. Start with Public Works at 219-662-3252 or the Building Department at 219-662-3239, since the City runs permitting through Building and licensing through the Clerk-Treasurer's Office.
Parades and processions: A parade or procession with 200 or more people, or 50 or more vehicles, cannot use a city street without a permit from the chief of police.
Special events: The Entertainment Division of the City's PACE Department processes special event requests and produces the City's own festivals, parades, and markets. Reach the Special Events Director at 219-662-3290. If you plan to sell at a City event, note that vendor applications go through the City's one online platform, and the office never asks for payment through consumer payment apps.
Construction trailers and storage: The zoning code lets the Building Commissioner permit up to two temporary structures or construction trailers per project for as long as 12 months, with longer stays in a residential district needing a variance. A separate rule covers portable storage containers in residential areas: those need a permit, are capped at seven days at a time and 30 days a year, have to sit on a paved surface, and cannot go in the right-of-way. No published rule sets a setback or a time limit for a porta potty itself.
Food vendors: Every temporary food service at an event needs its own permit from the Lake County Health Department, whose office is right here on North Main Street in Crown Point. The Food Division line is 219-755-3655.
If you aren't sure whose ground your spot sits on, your account manager can help you track down the right office.

Placement decides whether a unit is a help or a headache.
Set units on firm, level ground. Lake County's clay and the low ground near the ditches hold water, and a unit on soft fill will lean by the end of the week. Our driver needs a clear run in, so mind low wires, narrow gates, and vehicles left in the way.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service and well back from wells, ditches, and storm inlets. On a job site, put them within about 200 feet of the work crew. At an event, split them into clusters instead of one long line, and leave the accessible units on firm, flat ground.
One cleaning visit a week is the standard. Big crews, hot stretches, and multi-day events generally want two or three.
Crown Point treats its own sewage. The City's Wastewater Treatment Plant can handle more than 8 million gallons a day and averages around 4 million, with its own lab checking the treated water against state and federal limits before it heads toward Lake Michigan. Indiana counts a portable toilet as a sanitary unit under its septage rules, so whoever pumps your units must hold a state septage management permit before doing the work, and the load has to go to a permitted treatment plant or facility. Your account manager can set the service schedule and talk through placement with you.

Most Crown Point deliveries can happen within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days of notice is better, because it lets us hold the exact units you want. For a summer wedding, fair week, or a car cruise weekend, plan several weeks ahead, since that is when every unit in the county is working.
Five habits that make a delivery easy:
Prime Dumpster delivers porta potties across Crown Point and the surrounding Lake County communities, including Merrillville, Winfield, Schererville, St. John, Cedar Lake, Hobart, Dyer, Munster, Lowell, Griffith, and Highland. Whether the job sits downtown by the old courthouse, out at the fairgrounds, or on farm ground toward Lowell, we schedule the drop, the cleaning visits, and the pickup around you.

A standard unit averages $199–$349 and an ADA-compliant unit averages $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink units sit at $300–$400, solar units at $500–$600, and restroom trailers begin at $1,500. Your count, rental length, and cleaning schedule set the final figure. Your account manager confirms it in your free quote.
Start at 1 unit per 50 guests for about four hours, then add 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served. A 150-guest backyard reception comes out around three or four units. Put a handwashing station next to the food, and include an accessible unit whenever the public can attend.
Indiana's state worker-safety program uses the federal construction table. A crew of 20 or fewer needs one facility, above 20 workers it becomes one toilet seat and one urinal per 40, and above 200 workers one of each per 50. Tell your account manager when the crew grows so the order grows too.
Once a week is standard. The driver pumps the tank, washes the bowl and floor, wipes the surfaces, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Larger crews, humid Indiana summers, and weekend festivals usually call for two or three visits. Your account manager can set a schedule around your busiest days.
Usually not. A unit on your own yard, driveway, field, or fenced job site needs no City permit in Crown Point. You do need City permission before anything sits in a street, an alley, or another public place. Your account manager can help you check who to ask.
A standard unit is one compact stall holding a toilet, urinal, and sanitizer. An ADA unit is wider, entered at ground level, and fitted with grab bars and turning space for a wheelchair. Public events need accessible units in each cluster. Units used only by a construction crew are exempt.
Our ranges already cover a standard three-day rental, so a weekend is the usual booking. A standard unit averages $199–$349, a deluxe flushing unit averages $300–$400, and a handwashing station averages $150–$250. Your account manager confirms the window, the drop time, and the pickup.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll size the order, plan the service visits, and give you a straight price while you're on the line.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
