in Marion
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Marion, Indiana, and the Grant County towns and farmland around it. Construction and remodel work downtown and out along the state routes, summer festivals and car shows, county fair season, campus events, and long days in the fields all put portable toilets to work here.
Your price follows the unit type, the number you take, how long they stay, and how often a truck comes by. Below are the ranges, the counts to plan for, the City and County rules you'll meet, and how to get units out to your site quickly.
Those ranges are built on a standard three-day rental. Three local things move the total.
How long you keep the units matters most. Event orders are billed across three days, so a Saturday festival costs close to what a Friday-through-Sunday booking does. A job site runs on a 28-day cycle instead, which is better value when the work stretches out.
Service visits are next. Each visit pumps the tank, cleans and disinfects the inside, and restocks paper and sanitizer. A county fair crowd or a hot July week on a crew site often earns a second visit.
Where the unit sits makes the rest of the difference. A gravel pad beside a city street is quick. A unit out in a field, behind a gate, or at the back end of a long drive takes more of the driver's time. If food vendors are coming, add handwashing stations near the serving area.

Request a Quote NowStart with who uses the units and for how long. These are the numbers we work from.
One more thing worth knowing: if food stands are at your event, Grant County asks the organizer for a site map showing where the toilets and handwashing will be. Working that out early saves a scramble later. Our porta potty calculator gives you a starting number, and your account manager will check it against the site plan.
Choose around who steps inside and how long the booking runs. Every option is laid out on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is what most job sites and backyard projects take, with a seat, urinal, paper holder, and sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty steps in flat, opens wide, and has grab bars plus room to turn a wheelchair. Any event the public can attend needs one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes with fresh water from a foot pump, which guests at a reception or a graduation party notice right away.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap, and mirror inside the unit, handy at family gatherings and near food.
The Solar Porta Potty uses a roof panel for its light and fan, which earns its place on a field edge or a river site with no power.
The Handwashing Station is a freestanding sink with water, soap, and towels. Pair one with your units wherever food is handled.
The Restroom Trailer carries several stalls, running water, heat, and air conditioning, a good call for a wedding or a months-long site.
Tell your account manager who is coming and they'll settle the mix with you.
On your own property, a yard, a farm, or a job site lot you control, no City permit covers the unit itself. The rules start once you touch public pavement.
City right-of-way: Marion requires a right-of-way permit for any activity inside a City right-of-way or easement, and the City's own list includes blocking a lane or sidewalk and any encroachment into the right-of-way. You download the form, send it to Engineering with a $25 check or money order along with your contact details, and the City issues a placard that stays on site.
Parking spaces: If the unit is going in a street parking space during building, remodel, or demolition work, the obstruction permit is the right one. It runs on the same $25 and placard process.
State routes: Several of the busier roads through town are state highways. Work or a road closure on those needs a state miscellaneous permit, filed through the state's electronic permit system, with a $15 application fee.
Events with food: Grant County wants the event organizer registered 30 to 60 days ahead when temporary food stands will operate, whether or not anybody is charging for food. Registration itself is free, and the site map has to show the toilets and handwashing. Each food vendor files its own permit at least ten days out. The health department is on South Adams Street at 765-651-2401.
If you aren't sure which permit your spot needs, your account manager can point you at the right office before the truck is scheduled.
Placement decides how clean the unit stays and how fast the driver gets through.
Set units on firm, level ground. Field edges and new construction here go soft fast after rain, and a leaning unit is a risk. Keep a straight path open for the truck, with nothing parked across it.
Keep units at least 15 feet from any food service, and away from field tile, ditches, and the riverbank. On a job site, place them within 200 feet of the work so the crew isn't losing time walking.
Plan on one service visit a week as the baseline. Bigger crowds, bigger crews, and summer heat argue for more. Keep handwashing stations off the ground, since Grant County wants food-event handwashing setups raised at least six inches.
Indiana treats what comes out of a portable unit as septage, and anyone who pumps, hauls, or disposes of it has to hold a state septage management permit before they start. From there it goes to a permitted treatment plant. Marion runs its own, and Marion Utilities returns the treated water to the Mississinewa River. Your account manager can confirm your service days and where the waste from your units is taken.

Most Marion orders go out within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days of notice lets us match the right units to the job and get the service rhythm right. For fair week, festival weekends, and fall wedding dates, book several weeks ahead.
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout Marion and across Grant County, including Gas City, Jonesboro, Upland, Fairmount, Sweetser, and Van Buren, and out to Kokomo, Anderson, Muncie, and the Hamilton County suburbs. Whether the job is a downtown remodel, a church festival, a field day, or a wedding out in the country, we plan delivery, servicing, and pickup around your dates.
A standard porta potty in Marion averages $199–$349 per unit, and an ADA-compliant unit averages $200–$300. Deluxe units fall between $300 and $400, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. The number of units, the length of the booking, and the service schedule all shift the total. Your account manager confirms it in a free quote.
Use one unit per 50 guests for an event lasting about four hours, then add 15 to 20 percent more if alcohol is served. All-day summer events need more again. Include an accessible unit whenever the public is invited, and set a handwashing station beside any food area.
Indiana enforces the federal count through its own safety agency. One unit covers a crew of 20 or fewer. Above that you need one toilet and one urinal for every 40 workers, and one per 50 once a crew passes 200. Place units close to the work and plan a weekly service visit.
A weekly visit is standard. The driver pumps the tank, washes and disinfects the inside, and restocks paper and hand sanitizer. Heavy use, big crews, and July heat all justify a second visit. Your account manager can set a schedule that matches the days your site or event is busiest.
Not for a unit on your own yard, farm, or job site lot. Marion's right-of-way permit kicks in once the unit sits in a street, on a sidewalk, or in a City easement, and a street parking space needs an obstruction permit. Your account manager can help you work out which one applies.
A standard unit fits one person stepping up through a normal door. An ADA unit is wider, enters flat at ground level, carries grab bars, and leaves floor space for a wheelchair to turn. Public events need accessible units in each group. Units used only by a construction crew are exempt from that rule.
A standard unit averages $199–$349, and weekend event rentals are priced across three days. A single Saturday therefore costs close to the full weekend. Deluxe flushing units and restroom trailers run higher. Your account manager will confirm the weekend price, the delivery window, and the pickup time.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll size the order, name the permit you're likely to need, and give you a clear price on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
