Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Edmond
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Edmond, Oklahoma, and the north Oklahoma County communities nearby. New home construction on the east side, commercial work along Broadway Extension, university events, downtown festivals, ball fields, and storm cleanup after a spring system all put portable toilets to work here.
Your cost depends on the unit type, the number of units, how long the rental runs, and how often a truck comes out to clean them. Below you'll find price ranges, a clear way to size your order, the City's own event rules, and what to expect on delivery day.
Read those ranges as a standard three-day rental, which is the shape most weekend events take. A subdivision build runs on a monthly cycle, and your account manager will price whichever you need.
Season plays a part in Edmond. Spring brings outdoor weddings, graduation parties, and the busiest stretch of the building season, and it also brings storms that can pull units toward cleanup work with a day's notice. Booking early in April and May is simply smart.
Where the unit sits matters too. A pad on a graded lot in a new addition is easy. A spot at the back of an acreage off a red dirt road, or a downtown location with angled parking on both sides, takes a little more planning.
Extras round out the total. Accessible units, handwashing stations at food areas, and a second cleaning during a hot weekend each carry a cost. Your account manager can lay out two or three setups so you can see what each one buys you.

Edmond publishes its own number for permitted events. The City's special events guide sets one portable toilet or restroom for every 500 participants, and asks that at least 10 percent of the units be accessible. That is the minimum the City will accept, not a comfort target. For an event where people stay for hours, eat, and drink, planning closer to 1 unit per 50 guests keeps lines short and tempers even. Run your numbers through our porta potty calculator, then your account manager can settle the final count.
Choose by who uses the unit and how long they'll be there. All the models are shown on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is the everyday choice: toilet, urinal, paper holder, and hand sanitizer. It covers framing crews, remodels, and backyard gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a wide door, level entry, grab bars, and room to turn a wheelchair. Edmond wants a share of every permitted event's units to be accessible, so plan for these from the start.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flush and stronger odor control. Guests at a wedding or a reception notice the difference immediately.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap, and a mirror inside the unit, which families and food-service crowds appreciate.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from the sun, a good answer for acreage, a park site, or a lot before the power is set.
The Handwashing Station is a stand-alone sink with fresh water, soap, and towels. Oklahoma expects food vendors to have a separate handwashing sink, so pair one with every booth.
The Restroom Trailer brings several stalls, running water, and air conditioning, which earns its keep in an Oklahoma July.
Tell your account manager about the crowd or the crew and they'll suggest the mix.
On private property, no City permit is needed. Edmond says so plainly: events on private property do not require a special event permit, and the same logic covers a unit parked on your own lot or job site. A homeowners association may still have rules about placement and screening.
City streets and public lots. That is where a permit comes in. Work in the public right-of-way goes through the City's online permit portal under Engineering, and each address is permitted separately. Start there before anything lands on a street, an alley, or a sidewalk.
Events. A special event permit is required for festivals, parades, and athletic events on City streets and public parking lots. The timeline is the part people underestimate. Organizers present to the Special Events Committee at least two months before the event date, the application has to reach the Rights-of-Way Event Coordinator a week before that meeting, the application and site plans should be in at least 60 days out, and insurance and payment are due 30 days before. Larger events also submit a site plan showing where the sanitation units will sit. Call the City Rights-of-Way Events office at 405-359-4580, or stop by 22 East Main.
State highways. Nothing may be placed on state highway right-of-way, so the state transportation department is the office to ask about any spot along a highway through town. City streets stay with the City, and county roads stay with the county commissioners.
Food vendors. Vendors at an Edmond event need a special event food license, and the final vendor list goes in no later than 15 days ahead. Licenses are handled with the Oklahoma City County Health Department at 405-425-4327, and each booth is inspected on site the day of the event. State guidance also asks for a toilet in the immediate vicinity and a separate handwashing sink for workers.
If you're unsure which office owns your spot, your account manager can help you find out.
Ground and access come first. Pick a level, firm pad, since Edmond's red clay turns greasy after a rain and a unit on soft fill will lean. Leave the driver a straight run with no low branches, and keep gates and cattle guards in mind out on acreage.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service and away from creeks, ponds, and storm inlets. On a job site, hold them within about 200 feet of the work so a framing crew isn't losing time. At an event, build two or three small clusters instead of one long row, and place accessible units where the ground is flat and the path is solid.
A standard rental includes one weekly service visit: pump the tank, wash the inside, restock paper and sanitizer. A hot July weekend, a big crew, or a festival will want more, and the City's own planning material treats sanitation service as something to map out, not improvise.
The pumped load is tightly controlled in Oklahoma. The state licenses anyone who pumps, hauls, or disposes of waste from chemical toilets and holding tanks, and the state's own guidance treats delivery to a municipal treatment plant as the preferred route, with land application, landfill, and permitted septage facilities as the alternatives. Your account manager can confirm your service days and talk through placement before the first drop.

Most Edmond orders go out within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days of notice makes scheduling easier, and a spring event weekend deserves several weeks. Anything tied to a City special event permit runs on the City's two-month committee clock, so treat that as your real deadline.
Five habits that make delivery easy:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout Edmond and the surrounding parts of Oklahoma and Logan counties, including Arcadia, Coffee Creek, Deer Creek, Waterloo, Guthrie, Luther, Jones, The Village, Nichols Hills, and the north side of Oklahoma City. Whether your project sits in a new addition, downtown, or out on acreage, we schedule the drop, the cleanings, and the pickup around your calendar.
A standard unit averages $199 to $349, and an accessible unit averages $200 to $300. Deluxe models run $300 to $400, and restroom trailers open at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and how often units are cleaned decide the final number. Your account manager puts it together in a free quote.
Plan 1 unit per 50 guests over a four-hour event, plus 15 to 20 percent more when alcohol is served. Edmond's own minimum for permitted events is one unit per 500 participants, with a tenth of them accessible, so treat that as a floor rather than a comfort target.
Federal worker-safety rules apply in Oklahoma: 1 toilet for a crew of 20 or fewer, then 1 toilet and 1 urinal for every 40 workers. Keep the units close to the work face, and plan a weekly cleaning. Your account manager can scale the order up as your crew grows.
Weekly service is the baseline. Each visit pumps the tank, washes the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Oklahoma heat, large crews, and festival crowds all justify extra stops, and event units often need daily attention. Your account manager can set the schedule around your busiest days.
No. Edmond states that events on private property do not need a special event permit, and the same holds for a unit on your own lot, driveway, or job site. A permit is needed once it sits on a City street, alley, sidewalk, or public parking lot. Association rules may still apply.
A standard unit is a compact single stall. An accessible unit is much wider, with level entry, a broad door, grab bars, and turning space for a wheelchair. Edmond asks that at least a tenth of the units at a permitted event be accessible. Crew-only units on a job site are exempt.
Weekend orders are written as a three-day rental, so Friday through Sunday costs about what a single day would. A standard unit averages $199 to $349, a deluxe flushing unit $300 to $400, and a handwashing station $150 to $250. Your account manager confirms drop and pickup windows.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll size the order, match the cleaning schedule to your busiest days, and give you a clear price up front.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
