Notice to the neighbors: Every event has to give written notice to affected properties, with signatures collected, no less than 60 days ahead. Street closures need to be drawn and described, setup and tear-down included.
Street closures: A temporary street closure and traffic control request goes to the Special Events Coordinator at least 30 days before the date, and any business or resident you affect has to sign off in writing. Police, fire, traffic, transportation, and the City Manager all review it.
Work in the public way: Construction that occupies a street, lane, or sidewalk uses the public way permit. The permit fee is $50.00 and the packet asks for a traffic control plan, a closure schedule, and construction route plans.
