Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Mustang
At Prime Dumpster, we rent porta potties across Mustang, Oklahoma, and the Canadian County communities on the southwest edge of the Oklahoma City metro. Construction here is dominated by new residential subdivisions, with custom and production homes going up in phases along the Mustang Road and State Highway 152 corridors, alongside school, church and retail projects and the roof and fence work that follows every Oklahoma storm season. Event demand sits with the city parks, the fair and carnival calendar and the fall festival season.
Mustang is one of a very small number of cities in the country that requires a porta potty on a residential building site by name, and it counts them by lot rather than by worker. That rule, the national job site table and the city's street position are all set out below.
For a builder, the lot map sets the number here. Mustang lets one unit cover at most six lots, and every lot it covers has to have part of itself within 200 feet of the unit. Seven lots in a row is two units whatever the crew size, and two separated clusters of three is also two units. Hand your account manager the phasing plan and the count falls out of it.
Timing matters more than usual too, because the unit has to be on site before construction activity starts rather than once the trades arrive. Put the delivery on the pre-start checklist.
Travel is easy. Yukon is about 10 road miles north, so a Mustang drop almost always joins a route already running, and even a single unit prices well. Season swings demand rather than cost: Oklahoma summers push service frequency up, spring storm repairs crowd the calendar, and the festival season takes the same equipment. Rental length prices as it does elsewhere, roughly three days behind our ranges and monthly rates once a build runs long.

Try our porta potty calculator for a starting figure, then let your account manager reconcile it with the lot map.
Choose for the heat and for who uses the unit. Everything sits on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is what a Mustang subdivision lot needs: one enclosed stall with toilet, urinal, paper holder and sanitizer, set where it can cover the lots around it.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty enters flat, runs wider and carries grab bars with turning room, and it belongs in any group the Mustang public will use.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes and keeps odor down, which is worth the difference at a Canadian County wedding or a park festival in an Oklahoma July.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts basin, soap and mirror inside the stall and keeps a carnival queue moving.
The Solar Porta Potty draws light and ventilation from a roof panel, which suits a rural acreage build or a park site with no power drop.
The Handwashing Station stands on its own with clean water, soap and single-use towels, and it is how a Mustang crew meets the federal washing rule.
The Restroom Trailer arrives as a small building with separate plumbed stalls, which suits a long school contract or a guest-facing event.
Tell your account manager the lot plan or the headcount, and they will build the mix.
A unit on your own property needs no city permit in Mustang. What the city does is the reverse of most places: it requires the unit on residential building sites rather than permitting it. The street is the one place where it says no.
The residential code requires the unit before work begins. On a Mustang residential site a porta potty has to be in place before any construction activity, serving everyone involved in the construction, and it may cover at most six lots with part of each lot within 200 feet. Your builder's plan rather than a permit counter decides the number.
The street is closed to obstructions, permanent or temporary. City law makes it unlawful to construct, erect, place, operate, maintain or permit to exist a long list of named items, and then adds any other obstruction, upon any part of any street, alley, boulevard, parkway, curbing or parking in the city. A separate rule bars obstructing a sidewalk so as to interfere unduly with pedestrians, or a street so as to interfere unduly with traffic and parking.
The one street permit nearby is a work permit. The code allows material or equipment on a sidewalk or roadway only where a permit specifically authorizes it, or in the part already blocked by the work underway, and all equipment and unused material comes off before the work reopens to traffic. That covers construction material during work rather than a standing restroom, so private ground is the practical answer. An administrative route the city has not published may exist, and Community Development is the office to ask.
If work is next to a street, the lighting duty is yours. Anyone doing construction or excavation on or beside a street, alley, sidewalk or public ground has to keep substantial guard rails and barriers up, and has to display lighted lanterns, lights or flares from sundown to sunup, of a type the building inspector approves. Each failure is a separate offense.
A carnival, circus or parade needs a nonprofit behind it. Mustang allows only carnivals, circuses and parades that are sponsored and underwritten by a nonprofit organization, institution or church of the city. A commercial promoter cannot run one in its own name. The sponsor notifies police, fire and city staff a month ahead with insurance and state inspection certificates, operating hours run from nine in the morning to midnight, and a parade needs the approval of the police and fire departments.
Oklahoma decides where the contents go. State environmental rules count the contents of a portable toilet as septage and require that septage to be handled as sewage at a permitted wastewater treatment facility or an approved pretreatment facility, while leaving land application open only for other kinds of septage. The state license behind that work carries training, an exam, documented disposal arrangements and multi-year records. Ask your account manager for the paperwork with the quote.
On a subdivision lot, set the unit where the 200-foot radius does the most work: near the street frontage of the base lot, in line with the facing lot, on firm ground a service truck can reach. Keep it off the pavement, parkway and curb line, because the street is closed to obstructions. Keep 15 feet or more from drinking water, and at a carnival or festival hold the full 100 feet from where food is prepared or sold, which is a city requirement rather than a courtesy.
The contents are treated as sewage under Oklahoma rules and go to a permitted treatment or pretreatment facility rather than onto ground. We discharge there and keep the record against the account.
A service visit empties the tank, disinfects the seat and interior, and restocks paper, soap and towels. Weekly is our baseline on a steady crew, and twice weekly is the sensible call through an Oklahoma summer, on a large site, or anywhere food is served. On a long-running subdivision the interval matters more than usual, because one unit is covering several lots and several trades. Agree the interval, the route and the collection date with your account manager before the first drop.

Most Mustang orders place inside 24 to 48 hours, helped by how close the rest of our Oklahoma City metro coverage sits. Allow three to five days to lock a particular model. Builders should go earlier still, because the unit has to be standing before construction activity starts rather than after.
Five habits that keep a Mustang delivery on schedule:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Mustang and the Canadian County and south metro communities beside it, including Tuttle, Union City, Minco, Newcastle and the far western edges of the metro. Six of our Oklahoma pages sit within 25 road miles and are linked below, starting with Yukon at roughly 10 miles. Where a neighboring page prints a mileage for the same pair, we use theirs.
Allow $199–$349 for a standard unit and $200–$300 for an accessible one. Deluxe flushing and sink models run $300–$400, solar units $500–$600, and trailers start at $1,500. A handwashing station is $150–$250. Extra summer service visits and multi-unit subdivision orders are quoted openly.
Mustang publishes no ratio for ordinary events, so we size from the crowd: one unit per 50 guests over roughly four hours, plus 15 to 20 percent once alcohol is served. At a carnival or circus the city does require units at the operator's expense, standing at least 100 feet from food.
On a Mustang residential site a unit is required before work begins, and one unit covers at most six lots within 200 feet. The national table also applies: one facility to 20 workers, then one toilet seat and one urinal per 40, then one per 50 above 200. Use whichever number is greater.
Weekly is our baseline, moving to twice weekly on a large site, through an Oklahoma summer, or wherever food is served. Each visit pumps the tank, disinfects the seat and interior, and restocks paper, soap and towels. On a subdivision where one unit serves several lots, the shorter interval is usually worth it.
No. Mustang does not permit a unit on private land, and on a residential building site it requires one. The street is the exception, because city law bars obstructions from any part of a street, alley, parkway or curbing, and the only published permit there covers material and equipment during work.
A standard unit is one narrow stall with toilet, urinal and sanitizer. The accessible model is wider, enters flat with no step, and carries grab bars with clear floor space for a wheelchair to turn. Any Mustang gathering open to the public should include one in every group of units.
A weekend sits inside the roughly three-day window our ranges assume, so it prices at the base case: $199–$349 for a standard model, $300–$400 for deluxe flushing, and $150–$250 for a station. Ask your account manager about pairing delivery and collection on one run.
Tell us the lot plan or the gathering, the dates, the site address and your zip code. We will apply the city's residential requirement and the national job site count together, size the event figure through our team, and confirm the disposal arrangements in writing.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
