Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Kearny
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals throughout Kearny, New Jersey, and the Hudson County towns packed in around it. Construction here means rehab work on the older residential blocks, warehouse and logistics projects out on the Meadowlands flats and at Kearny Point, and utility work along Schuyler Avenue, while events run from a street fair to a field day beside the Passaic River.
Kearny is unusual, and reading this section before you order will save you a phone call. The Town has written a rule about portable toilets specifically, it covers what the unit looks like as well as where it stands, and it closes off some placements entirely. Below are our ranges, the New Jersey job site count, that Town rule in plain words, and our delivery times.
Two Kearny-specific things sit inside a quote here that do not appear elsewhere. The Town asks that a unit at a construction site be dark green or brown, and it may ask for a screen around the unit. Both are availability and labor questions rather than rule questions, and both are easier to solve when raised at the quoting stage instead of at delivery.
Access does the rest. Narrow lots, shared drives and on-street parking across much of Kearny mean a service truck often has one workable approach and one workable hour. Where we can park decides how long a visit takes, and that feeds the schedule more than the model you choose.
Booking length behaves normally. Our ranges assume about three days on the ground, so a weekend prices as the base case, while a rehab running several weeks moves onto a longer rate with service visits built in. A Kearny job that pauses matters too, because the Town expects the unit gone after ten days of inactivity, and a pulled-and-returned unit is priced differently from one that simply stays.
One more thing: the whole market moves together in spring. When every Hudson County crew starts at once, availability rather than price becomes the constraint.

Work it through with our porta potty calculator, then let your account manager check the figure against your shift pattern or your gate count.
In Kearny, pick for appearance and footprint as well as for use, because the Town cares about both. The whole range is on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty covers most Kearny construction: a single enclosed stall with toilet, urinal, paper holder and sanitizer. This is the model the Town's color preference applies to.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, steps straight in at ground level and carries grab bars with turning space inside, and it belongs anywhere the public is invited.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty has a flushing bowl and much stronger odor control, which is the choice for a guest-facing event.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts the basin, soap and mirror inside the stall, which helps when floor space outside is tight.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and fan from a roof panel, useful on a Meadowlands site or a fenced lot with no temporary power yet.
The Handwashing Station is a separate stand with clean water, soap and single-use towels, and it is how a Kearny site meets the federal washing requirement.
The Restroom Trailer arrives as a small building with separate plumbed stalls and climate control, which suits a formal event or a long project with staff on site.
Tell your account manager the lot shape and the sight lines from the street, and they will specify something that will pass inspection first time.
Kearny is the tightest town in our New Jersey coverage on this product, and the rule is worth reading rather than summarizing.
The construction case is the route the Town has written. Where a construction site has no bathroom or plumbing facilities, and a construction or building permit has been issued or is required, the contractor or property owner may provide a unit for construction workers. That is the permission, and it is scoped to construction workers.
Private ground only, and never the street. The Town's words are that such a unit "shall be parked on private property only", and that "in no instance" may it be parked on public property or in a public right of way. There is no published street route in Kearny for this product, so treat a curbside placement as unavailable until the Town says otherwise.
Where on the lot, and what it looks like. The unit may not sit at the front of the property and must stand a reasonable distance from adjoining property lines. The Town also asks that units be dark green or brown to reduce how much they are noticed, unless the contractor can show those colors are not readily available. Where the unit cannot be kept off the front, cannot be held back from the property lines, or cannot be had in those colors, the Construction Official may require barriers or screens, and a sketch of the screen plus a site sketch showing the placement go in for review. The official can also direct that the unit be moved.
Servicing and removal are written in. The unit is to be emptied on a regular basis and kept safe and sanitary. It comes out as soon as construction finishes or bathrooms become available at the site, and it also comes out if construction is inactive for ten days.
The part that changes what can be sold. The section closes by saying that except as set out above, no portable toilets shall be placed on any private property within the Town. On those words, a backyard party, a private company function or a yard wedding in Kearny has no published route to a unit. We will not tell you otherwise. Your account manager will take that question to the Construction Office with you before anything is scheduled.
Events on Town ground go through the Mayor and Council. A street closure for a parade, street fair, road race or block party is authorized by the Mayor, or the Chief of Police in the Mayor's absence, for a special event the Mayor and Council have approved. A closure running more than 48 consecutive hours also has to go to the State transportation commissioner before it takes effect. Kearny separately requires litter receptacles at every special event the public is invited to. The Construction Code Enforcement office at the Town Hall Annex answers the placement questions on 201-955-7880, and your account manager will join that conversation.
On a Kearny lot, plan the position before the unit is ordered. Keep it off the front, back from the side lines, on firm level ground, and somewhere a truck can reach without blocking the street for long. Hold it 15 feet or more from food and drinking water. If a screen is likely, allow floor space for it.
The contents are liquid waste and are handled as liquid waste. New Jersey requires the company that carries and disposes of it to hold state registration, and the state runs a separate suitability licensing step for waste businesses on top of that. A customer in Kearny therefore cannot lawfully use an unregistered operator, which is a real reason to ask who is actually doing the pumping. Your account manager confirms those arrangements in writing with the order.
A service visit pumps the tank, disinfects the seat and interior and restocks paper, soap and towels. Weekly is our baseline, and the Town's own words ask for emptying on a regular basis. Shorten it for a large crew, hot weather, food service or a public event. Agree the interval, the truck's approach and the collection date with your account manager up front, because on a street as tight as most of Kearny the approach is the hard part.

Most Kearny orders land within 24 to 48 hours, and three to five days secures a particular model or a specific color. Spring and early summer are the squeeze, when every crew in Hudson County is working at once.
Five habits that keep a Kearny delivery on schedule:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Kearny and the towns pressed up against it, including Harrison, North Arlington, Lyndhurst, Belleville, Nutley and Rutherford, and on into the industrial districts along the Hackensack and Passaic rivers. Six of our New Jersey porta potty pages sit within ten road miles and are linked below, with Clifton, Elizabeth and Union City only slightly further out. One call covers a job that crosses a town line, which in this part of Hudson County happens often.
Allow $199–$349 for a standard unit and $200–$300 for an accessible one. Deluxe flushing and sink models are $300–$400, solar units $500–$600, and trailers open at $1,500. A handwashing station is $150–$250. A specific color or a screened placement is quoted openly rather than added later.
Kearny publishes no event figure, so plan from the crowd: one unit per 50 guests across about four hours, plus 15 to 20 percent once alcohol is served. Keep 5 percent of each group accessible with at least one, and add handwashing wherever food is served. Check the venue rules first.
New Jersey uses the national table. One facility covers 20 workers or fewer, then one toilet seat and one urinal for each 40 workers, and one per 50 above 200. Washing facilities are required as well. Public sector work in the Town runs on the same figures.
Weekly is our baseline, and the Town asks that a unit be emptied on a regular basis and kept safe and sanitary. We go to twice weekly or more for a big crew, summer heat, food service or a public event. Tight Kearny access is the thing to settle before the first visit.
Kearny allows a unit on private ground at a construction site that has no bathrooms and holds or needs a building permit. Outside that case the Town's words bar placement on private property, so ask the Construction Office before ordering. Nothing may stand on public property or in the right of way.
A standard unit is a single narrow stall with a toilet, urinal and sanitizer. The accessible model is wider, has a flat entry with no step and carries grab bars with clear floor space for a wheelchair to turn. Put one in every group of units at any public event.
A weekend sits inside the roughly three-day window our ranges assume, so it prices as the base case: $199–$349 for a standard model, $300–$400 for deluxe flushing and $150–$250 for a station. In Kearny, confirm the placement question before you book the weekend.
Tell us the project or the event, your zip code and exactly where on the lot the unit would stand. We will apply the national count, raise the Town's color and placement rules before delivery day, and say plainly where a placement has no published route.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
