Williamson County owns and runs the landfill, which keeps the destination simple and the charge public.
Loads from Brentwood go to the Williamson County Landfill at 5750 Pinewood Road, Franklin, TN 37064, run by the Williamson County Solid Waste Department on 615-790-0742. The gate is open Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and check-in ends at 3:15 p.m.
The county is strict about those times, and the wording leaves no room. Arrive after 3:15 p.m. and the scale operator cannot check you in that day. The site closes promptly at 3:30 p.m., and your load must be empty and your truck leaving by then, so a driver who cannot be back at the scale empty by 3:30 p.m. is not allowed in at all. Every driver also needs a physical driver's license in hand to enter any of the county's solid waste properties.
The county's recycling facility sits next door at 5760 Pinewood Road, and its material recovery operation, recycling centres, and beautification programs all close on the county's holiday list, which runs from New Year's Day through to Christmas Day and includes an early close on 23 December.
The county's convenience centres are not an answer for a container job. They take Williamson County residents only, from a primary residence, one trip a day, with a three cubic yard limit, and they accept no commercial loads. The county treats rental property as commercial, so a landlord clearing a unit has to use the landfill at commercial rates.
Your account manager confirms the destination, the current charge for your material, and the cut-off time before your container is collected.
