Hendersonville loads go to the Resource Authority in Sumner County at 625 Rappahannock Wire Rd., Gallatin, TN 37066. Its number is 615-452-1114.
It is a public body rather than a company. The Authority was created in 1979 by a Private Act of the Tennessee legislature and acts as an agency for Sumner County and for the cities of Gallatin and Hendersonville, with a board of seven directors, two of them appointed by Hendersonville itself.
The site is open to residential and commercial customers Monday through Friday from 6:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon, and Saturday from 6:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon. It is closed on Sunday.
Its construction and demolition stream covers concrete and asphalt, wood products including treated and painted lumber, building components such as doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry and plumbing fixtures, brick and tile, asphalt shingles, plaster and drywall, and insulation.
The City also keeps the destination under its own control: collectors are directed to deliver solid waste to the places the Board of Mayor and Aldermen designates. The City's own trash guidance sends residents with move-out and cleanout material to the Authority, and your account manager confirms the destination and the ticket before the container is delivered.
