Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals in Cut Off, Louisiana and along the length of Lafourche Parish. Work along the bayou is its own world: marine fabrication, dock and bulkhead construction, oilfield service yards and pipeline jobs, plus camp and home building on the ridge, and outdoor events running from boat blessings and seafood festivals to fais do-do dances and family gatherings.
Your figure depends on the unit chosen, how many you take, the rental length and the service frequency. What follows gives the ranges, the planning counts, how a community with no city hall actually handles approvals, and what keeps a delivery on time this far down Highway 1.
Every range above assumes a standard three-day rental. For a weekend festival or a boat blessing in Cut Off that is the natural window, and a one-day booking seldom prices below it.
Project work is written on four-week cycles with a weekly clean built in. A fabrication yard contract, a bulkhead job, or a camp build on the bayou side usually falls into that pattern, and the weekly cost drops well under the short-term rate once it does.
The thing that distinguishes pricing here is the shape of the parish. Lafourche is long and narrow, strung out along the bayou for better than fifty miles, so where exactly a site sits between Larose and Golden Meadow has a real effect on the haul and on how a service route is planned. Your account manager quotes that honestly rather than letting it emerge later.
Season matters too. Gulf humidity and the summer heat often take a site from one service visit a week to two, and from June to November a storm plan needs to be part of the booking rather than an afterthought.

Request a Quote NowStart with the number of people and the hours. These are the counts Prime Dumpster works to:
The legal floor comes from the state. Under the Louisiana sanitary code, a gathering of 500 or more for four hours or longer needs at least one toilet per 200 people and a continuous supply of toilet paper. That is a minimum far below what a Gulf-coast crowd in July will use, so plan to our tighter number.
Having read the parish code through, Lafourche Parish sets no unit count of its own, for construction or for events. What it does instead is more interesting, and it is covered in the permit section below: the parish regulates which toilet devices are lawful and where they may stand, not how many there are. So the count is yours and ours, and the device and the placement are the parish's. Our porta potty calculator is a sound first pass, with your account manager adjusting for hours and crowd.
Choose on who will use it and for how long. Our porta potty options page sets them out together.
The Standard Porta Potty handles the bulk of Cut Off orders, with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder and sanitizer. It suits yards, crews and smaller gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty enters flat with no step, through a wide door, with grab bars and room to turn a wheelchair. Include one wherever the public comes.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty has a flushing bowl and much better odor control, which guests appreciate at a wedding or a reception.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries a sink, soap and mirror inside the unit, so nobody walks to a second station.
The Solar Porta Potty takes power for its light and fan from a roof panel, which earns its place on marsh-edge sites, camps and evening events with no outlet anywhere near.
The Handwashing Station is a separate unit holding clean water, soap and towels. One belongs at every food area and one by the crew.
The Restroom Trailer gives several stalls, running water and climate control, and it is the answer for weddings, company functions and long-running project sites.
Not settled on the mix? Run your guest list or crew size past your account manager.
The first thing to understand is who you are dealing with. Cut Off is not a town. It is an unincorporated community spread along Bayou Lafourche, with no city hall, no mayor and no municipal code of its own. That is the complete answer rather than a missing piece. Lafourche Parish Government is the local government here, and in Louisiana the parish is the layer that counts.
And Lafourche Parish has more to say about portable toilets than most municipalities do.
The device itself has to be approved. Parish law makes it unlawful to dispose of human waste anywhere in the parish by any method other than three: a properly constructed privy, a properly constructed septic tank, or another sanitary toilet device approved by the parish health officer and the state board of health. A portable restroom falls into that third category, which means it is lawful here as an approved device with two bodies signing off, rather than lawful simply because you have put it there. Your account manager raises that with the health unit as part of the order.
There is a setback, and it names the bayou. It is unlawful to maintain a privy, septic tank or other toilet device of a type where deposits could touch soil within 25 feet of a water-supply well, or where it could discharge directly into a canal or bayou, or any ditch or drainage structure that might lead into those waters. In a community built along a bayou with ditches running either side of the highway, that is a live constraint on where a unit can physically stand, not boilerplate.
The parish inspects, and it can order a unit moved. The health officer or an authorized representative shall personally inspect every privy, septic tank or other toilet device in the parish, with power to enter premises at any reasonable hour. If a device is not properly located or maintained, the health officer gives the property owner written notice to alter, reconstruct or move it to meet the officer's own specification, and the owner has to comply. Parish law also puts a standing duty on the occupants of a property to keep any toilet device sanitary at all times.
Streets and public property. The parish has its own rules on streets, drainage and obstructions, available through the parish government. For a placement that touches parish property, the sensible step is a call to the parish before delivery rather than after.
Crowds of 500 or more. The state treats these as mass gatherings. A written permit from the Lafourche Parish health unit is needed at least 30 days ahead, and the operator must hold it 72 hours before the start date. The application needs a map locating every toilet, drawings of the facilities and the sewage disposal, and your expected attendance. We prepare that layout drawing as a standard deliverable.
Placement along the bayou follows the geography, which here means a narrow ridge of usable ground with water on both sides.
Work with the setback first, because it is the rule that bites. Keep every unit well back from the bayou itself, from the roadside ditches and from any drainage structure, and a long way from any water-supply well. That alone rules out a lot of otherwise convenient spots.
Then the ground. The usable land sits only slightly above water level and drains slowly, so pick the firmest and highest part of the site, and expect soft going for a day or two after rain. Leave the driver a straight approach off the highway, because turning a service vehicle on a narrow bayou-side lot is the most common delay here.
Standard spacing still applies: at least 15 feet from food service, job-site units within about 200 feet of the work, event units broken into two or three clusters rather than a single line, and accessible units on firm, level ground.
A standard rental carries one cleaning visit a week, and the summer months frequently need two. State rules bar emptying a unit onto the ground or into a street, ditch or waterway, and allow the waste to travel only in tight, enclosed containers, so collection is arranged to a lawful disposal point every time. Given the parish inspection power above, keeping that service record straight is worth more here than almost anywhere else, and your account manager sets an interval that holds up to it.

A Cut Off order can usually be standing within 24 to 48 hours, and three to five days gives room to match units to the work rather than to availability.
Allow longer for two things. Festival weekends and the spring run of boat blessings concentrate demand along the bayou communities at the same time. And during storm season, supply across south Louisiana can tighten quickly once recovery work begins.
Five things keep a Cut Off delivery to schedule:
Prime Dumpster coordinates porta potty delivery through Cut Off and the Lafourche Parish communities up and down the bayou, including Larose, Galliano, Golden Meadow, Lockport, Raceland, Mathews and Thibodaux, and across toward Houma. Whether your site is a fabrication yard, a camp on the bayou side, or a job along Highway 1, delivery, servicing and collection are arranged around your dates.
Standard units are $199–$349 and ADA-compliant units $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink models sit at $300–$400, solar units at $500–$600, and restroom trailers begin at $1,500. Site location along the bayou, count and service frequency all affect it. Your account manager confirms the number.
Allow one unit for every 50 guests across four hours, then 15 to 20 percent more when alcohol is served. A 200-guest festival session comes to four or five units. Put a handwashing station at the food, and add an accessible unit whenever the public is invited.
Louisiana has no state plan, so the federal construction standard governs a Cut Off site outright. A single facility will do for twenty workers or fewer. Over twenty you add a toilet seat and a urinal for each forty, and over two hundred one of each for each fifty. Let your account manager know when the crew grows.
Standard rentals include one visit a week. The service crew pumps the tank, washes the bowl and floor, wipes everything down and restocks paper and sanitizer. Gulf humidity usually makes two visits the better choice in summer, and the parish may inspect. Your account manager arranges the interval.
There is no city permit, because Cut Off has no city government. Lafourche Parish is the authority, and parish law requires a portable unit to be a sanitary toilet device approved by the parish health officer and the state board of health, kept clear of wells, ditches and the bayou.
A standard unit is one compact stall holding a toilet, a urinal and sanitizer. An ADA unit is wider, enters level with the ground, and has grab bars and turning space for a wheelchair. Public events want at least one per cluster, which a crew-only yard does not.
Three days is the basis of the ranges above, so a weekend is covered already. Plan on $199–$349 for the standard stall, $300–$400 for the deluxe flushing one, and $150–$250 for each handwashing station. Your account manager settles the delivery window and the collection.
Tell us where along the bayou your site sits and what you are running, with the zip code. We will fix the count, build the service route around it, and quote you straight away.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager carries the order through, from the count and the health unit contact to the service interval and the collection, so none of it lands on you.
