Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Marrero
At Prime Dumpster, we rent porta potties throughout Marrero, Louisiana, and the West Bank communities around it. The units stand on construction and drainage work along the Harvey Canal, marine and warehouse jobs off Peters Road, house builds and kitchen remodels in Ames and Estelle, and outdoor events of every size, from a school carnival to a crawfish boil or a weekend ball tournament.
Marrero is an unincorporated community, so Jefferson Parish is the local government and parish offices handle every approval. Your price moves with the unit you choose, how many you take, how long you keep them, and how often a driver comes out. What follows sets out our ranges, the counts we plan around, the parish rules that apply, and how quickly we can be on site.
Those ranges assume a three-day rental, which is how most West Bank party orders are written. A Saturday fais do-do and a Friday-to-Sunday reunion usually land on the same figure, so you do not need to trim your dates.
Job sites bill differently. A build in Estelle, a pump station job, or a yard off Fourth Street is normally set up in four-week cycles with a weekly cleaning visit built in, which brings the weekly cost down a long way.
Service visits move the total more than anything else. Each visit pumps the tank, washes the unit inside, and restocks paper and sanitizer. A July week, or a two-day festival, often needs two visits instead of one.
Access matters too. A unit behind a locked gate, down a soft shoulder, or at the back of a wet lot takes the driver longer, and the quote shows that. Your account manager walks the whole list with you.

Request a Quote NowStart with your head count and the hours people will be on site. These are the figures Prime Dumpster plans around:
Two local floors sit under those figures, and both are looser than ours. Under the Louisiana sanitary code, which Jefferson Parish has adopted, a gathering of 500 or more people lasting four hours or longer away from a permanent venue needs at least one toilet for every 200 people, with a continuous supply of toilet paper in each one. The Jefferson Parish code sets its own floor for a commercial assembly of more than 5,000 people: one unit for every 250 people, with written proof of a service contract. Both are bare minimums, so plan on our tighter number. Our porta potty calculator gives you a starting point, and your account manager tunes it once they know your hours and your crowd.
The right fit comes down to who uses it and how long they stay. Compare them side by side on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty covers most orders here. It holds a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and hand sanitizer, and it suits crews, yard work, and small gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a flat entry with no step, a wide door, grab bars, and room to turn a wheelchair. Put at least one anywhere the public walks up.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty gives guests a flushing bowl and much better odor control, which matters at a wedding or a milestone party.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap, and a mirror inside, so nobody walks to a second station to wash.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from a roof panel. It earns its keep on camps down toward Lafitte and evening events with no outlet nearby.
The Handwashing Station stands on its own with clean water, soap, and paper towels. Set one by every food area and one near a busy crew.
The Restroom Trailer holds a row of stalls with running water and climate control. It is the pick for weddings, company events, and sites you hold for months.
Still weighing the mix? Describe your guests or crew to your account manager and they will build the order.
On private ground, such as your own yard, a driveway, a fenced job site, or a farm tract, you will not normally need a parish permit. What changes the answer is public ground.
There is no city permit here. Marrero has no city hall and no municipal code, so there is no city office to apply to and nothing to look up at one. Jefferson Parish handles streets, drainage, building permits, and events on the West Bank. Building permit questions go to 504-364-3512, sidewalk and driveway permits to 504-349-5842, and Engineering answers on 504-736-6500.
The parish right of way: The Jefferson Parish code makes it unlawful to place any type of obstruction on or near a parish right of way except for a short closed list: a curbside mailbox, decorative piping, plants and shrubs, detached signs, leased parking for an abutting business, and parish or utility equipment. A portable toilet is not on that list. Anything else left there is treated as abandoned and may be hauled off at the owner's expense. Two routes do exist. The Department of Streets issues permits for work or activity in a parish road, and Public Works may allow similar structures that do not meet the rule if the applicant signs a hold-harmless agreement. Confirm your spot with Public Works before you commit to it, and plan on private ground wherever you can.
Overnight marking: Anything left in a parish road, alley, or sidewalk overnight must carry a lighted lamp on each side, lit by sunset and burning until sunrise.
Events on public ground: A permit from the Department of Citizen's Affairs is required to use a right of way for a special event where 25 or more people will gather, and once more than 50 people will use the right of way, Sheriff's deputies must be brought in to handle traffic. The Special Events Office takes those calls on 504-736-6771. A fair, exhibition, show, or circus permit has a window rather than a deadline: no more than 90 days and no less than 30 days before the event, so filing too early gets you turned away. A fair permit runs for no more than 10 days, and no fair may sit within 300 feet of a residential area unless it is a church or school fair on its own grounds.
Big commercial assemblies: For a commercial gathering of more than 5,000 people the promoter needs a parish permit at least 30 days ahead, and the parish code sets the price at $5,000.00 with a $250,000.00 surety bond. The same rule puts a duty on the customer: the promoter or property owner must provide and show proof of a contract for sanitary facilities. That service agreement comes from us, so get the restroom order settled before the application goes in.
Crowds of 500 or more: Louisiana treats a gathering of 500 or more people lasting four hours or longer away from a permanent venue as a mass gathering. That needs a separate written permit from the local parish health unit at least 30 days ahead, and the application must carry a map showing where every toilet will stand, plus drawings of the toilet facilities and the sewage disposal. Build the unit plan first and file second.
Not sure who controls the ground you have in mind? Your account manager can name the right parish office before a truck rolls.
Where you set a unit decides how well it holds up all week.
Pick firm, level ground. The soft soils behind the levee can bog a service truck after rain, so leave the driver a clear lane with no low limbs, narrow gates, or parked trailers in the way.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service and clear of ditches, canals, and storm inlets. On a job site, set them within about 200 feet of the work. At an event, split them into two or three groups rather than one long row, and put the accessible units on flat, firm footing.
One cleaning visit a week comes with a standard rental. Large crews, August heat, and two-day festivals want more.
The waste side has firm rules. The Louisiana sanitary code, which Jefferson Parish has adopted, bars anyone from discharging the contents of a portable toilet onto the ground or into a road, gutter, ditch, or waterway, and the parish code separately treats emptying objectionable matter into a road ditch or gutter as a public nuisance. The Parish Department of Sewerage runs five treatment plants handling 57 million gallons a day, and its West Bank field office answers on 504-437-4811. The Parish does not post hauled-waste terms online, so your account manager confirms the disposal point and sets the service schedule with you.

We can usually have a Marrero order standing on site inside 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days lets us match the units properly to the job. For a spring festival weekend, a graduation, or a large outdoor wedding, give us several weeks, because that is when the whole West Bank orders at once.
Five things make a delivery go smoothly:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Marrero and the West Bank towns next door, including Harvey, Westwego, Avondale, Bridge City, Waggaman, Gretna, Terrytown, Estelle, and Lafitte. Whether your job sits along the Westbank Expressway or on a rural tract down Barataria Boulevard, we build the delivery, service, and pickup around your dates.
A standard unit runs $199–$349 and an ADA-compliant unit $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink models sit at $300–$400, solar units at $500–$600, and a restroom trailer opens at $1,500. Your figure shifts with unit count, rental length, and cleaning schedule. Your account manager gives you an exact number in your free quote.
Allow one unit for each 50 guests over a four-hour stretch, and add 15 to 20 percent when beer or wine is poured. A 150-guest reunion works out to three or four units. Put a handwashing station by the food, and include an accessible unit whenever the public is invited.
Louisiana sits under the federal construction standard. A crew of 20 or fewer needs one facility. Over 20 workers, add a toilet seat and a urinal for each 40, and at 200 or more, one of each per 50. Tell your account manager when crew size changes so the count keeps pace.
A standard rental includes one visit a week. The driver pumps the tank, washes the bowl and floor, wipes the surfaces, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Big crews, humid Louisiana summers, and busy two-day events often want two or three visits. Your account manager sets the right rhythm.
Usually not. A unit on your own yard, driveway, farm, or fenced job site needs no parish permit. Public ground is different: Jefferson Parish bars obstructions in its right of way apart from a short list, so a street or shoulder spot needs the Department of Streets or Public Works to approve it first.
A standard unit is one compact stall with a toilet, a urinal, and hand sanitizer. An ADA unit is wider, entered at ground level with no step, and fitted with grab bars and floor space to turn a wheelchair. Accessible units belong in every group at an event open to the public.
A three-day rental is what the prices above assume, so a full weekend is already covered. Count on $199–$349 for a standard unit and $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing model. Handwashing stations average $150–$250. Your account manager locks the rental window, the delivery hour, and the collection.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will work out the count, set the service visits, and quote you straight away.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
