in Medford
At Prime Dumpster, we supply porta potties across Medford, Oregon, and the wider Rogue Valley. The units go out to construction and subdivision work off Crater Lake Highway, orchard and packing-house projects around the valley floor, home builds and remodels in East Medford, and every scale of outdoor event, from a Pear Blossom crowd to a company picnic or a youth soccer weekend at U.S. Cellular Community Park.
Your cost depends on which unit you choose, how many you take, how long you keep them, and how often a driver returns to clean them. The sections below cover our ranges, how to size an order, which Medford office approves what, and how fast we can roll.
A three-day window sits behind every range above, and that is how most Rogue Valley event orders get written. A one-day reunion and a Friday-to-Sunday wedding usually come out at the same figure, so there is nothing to gain by shortening your booking.
Longer site work is priced another way. A subdivision phase on the north side, a commercial shell near the airport, or a six-month remodel is normally set up in four-week cycles with weekly cleaning folded in, which pulls the cost per week down.
Oregon puts one cost driver in front of Medford contractors that most states do not. Once a project carries an estimated cost at or above $1,000,000, Oregon workplace safety rules call for flush toilet facilities together with wash basins, warm water, and soap. The product mix changes on the budget, not the head count, and highway work and utility transmission work are carved out of it.
How often we come back is the next lever. Each visit empties the tank, scrubs the interior, and refills paper and sanitizer. A run of 100-degree afternoons in July, or a two-day festival, normally justifies twice-weekly service.
Finally, access. A unit a truck can pull alongside is quick both ways. A unit at the far end of an orchard row, behind a locked gate, or down a gravel spur costs more to serve, and the quote shows it.

Request a Quote NowBegin with how many people and how long they stay. These are the counts Prime Dumpster works to:
Medford itself publishes no restroom ratio. The City requires a special event permit, pre-approval and advisement from staff, and sometimes a pre-event planning meeting, but it sets no guest-to-unit figure that you can work from in advance, and nothing on its pages ties a crowd size to a number of units. So the count is a judgement you have to be ready to defend at that meeting. Our porta potty calculator gives you a figure to bring, and your account manager will size the order against your attendance and hours and talk it through with you first.
Who uses it, and for how long, decides the model. Our porta potty options page lays them out together.
The Standard Porta Potty is what most Medford orders are built from. A single stall, toilet and urinal, paper and sanitizer, and it copes with framing crews, landscape jobs, and backyard parties.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider than the standard, has no lip at the door, and carries wall bars and turning room for a chair. Any gathering the public can walk into should have one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes and vents properly, so it reads as a restroom rather than a stopgap. It is also the model Oregon's higher-value project rule points to.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink has its basin, soap, and mirror built in, which suits a reception where guests should not have to queue twice.
The Solar Porta Potty takes light and ventilation from a roof panel, useful on hillside tracts and evening events with no power nearby.
The Handwashing Station is a stand-alone basin holding clean water, soap, and towels. Oregon's larger-project rule turns it into a requirement rather than an extra, and caterers want one within reach.
The Restroom Trailer brings several plumbed stalls plus heating and cooling on one chassis. Weddings and long-running job sites are where it pays for itself.
Still deciding? Give your account manager the guest count or the crew list and they will assemble the order.
Set a unit on private ground, including your own yard, a driveway, a fenced site, or an orchard tract, and you will not normally need a City permit. Public ground is a different matter.
Streets, sidewalks, and alleys: The City issues a Work in the Public Right-of-Way permit through Development Services, alongside a traffic control plan and, for night work, a noise variance. Requests go in online, staff review them each weekday and then telephone you with the cost, and the permit is issued once that is paid. The permit desk is at 200 S. Ivy Street on 541-774-2100, and City Hall is at 411 W 8th Street on 541-774-2000.
Events: Parks, Recreation and Facilities runs the special event permit, and its trigger list is broad. It catches any event, party, or activity expecting 50 people or more in the public right of way, including a park or a street. It also reaches parades and mass gatherings, outdoor concerts, circuses, carnivals, fairs and festivals, farmers markets and swap meets, athletic events, a sales event outside a shop's normal selling area, fireworks, alcohol, amplified sound, and any street, sidewalk, or alley closure. Call 541-774-2405.
It reaches private property too. A Medford special event permit is also required when an event on private ground affects or impacts the City or the property around it, which covers noise, alcohol, and zoning questions. A back-lot festival is not automatically outside the process.
One deadline you cannot look up. Medford does not print a single filing deadline. The City states that the size of the event sets the submission date, and the figure sits in the individual application packets rather than on its web pages, so a Medford organizer should ask for their packet early. Staff may also call a pre-event planning meeting before approving anything.
A park booking can turn into an event application. A pavilion or picnic reservation moves onto the special event route as soon as attendance passes 50, or where there is alcohol, amplified sound, or a need for power. Inflatable structures are not allowed in Medford parks at all, so plan the layout around that.
Unsure which office owns your site? Your account manager can point you at the right desk before a truck is scheduled.
A good spot is worth more over a week than a better unit in a bad one.
Choose firm, level ground. Valley clay goes soft after winter rain, and a service truck needs a lane free of low limbs, tight gateposts, and parked equipment. Leave working room beside the unit, not only a path to it.
Stand units at least 15 feet away from food service, and clear of wells, irrigation ditches, and storm inlets. Crews should not walk much more than 200 feet. At an event, two or three small groups serve a crowd better than one long rank, and the accessible units need flat footing and a firm approach.
Weekly servicing is included in a standard rental. Summer heat, large crews, and multi-day events all argue for a tighter cycle.
Oregon controls the waste side closely, and it explains part of the service rate. State law treats a chemical toilet as a non-water-carried sewage disposal facility, which makes pumping one out a licensed sewage disposal service needing a state license and a bond from the Department of Environmental Quality. The state's own onsite rules count portable toilet contents as domestic septage and stop it being land applied straight from the truck: before stabilization it has to be blended with septic tank pumpings at three gallons to one. Medford publishes no receiving terms for hauled waste, so your account manager confirms the disposal point and sets the service schedule with you.

A Medford order can usually be standing on site within 24 to 48 hours. With three to five days we can match the units more carefully to the job. For a festival weekend, a graduation, or a large outdoor wedding, allow several weeks, since the whole valley is ordering in the same stretch.
Five things that make a delivery go smoothly:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout Medford and the Rogue Valley towns around it, including Central Point, Phoenix, Talent, Jacksonville, White City, Eagle Point, Gold Hill, Rogue River, and Shady Cove. Whether your project sits in town, out along Table Rock Road, or on a rural tract toward the Applegate, we fit the delivery, service, and pickup to your dates.
Standard units run $199–$349 and ADA-compliant units $200–$300. Both deluxe models sit in the $300–$400 range, solar units average $500–$600, and a restroom trailer starts at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and service frequency set the final figure, and your account manager quotes it free.
Work from one unit per 50 guests across about four hours, then add 15 to 20 percent if there is a bar. A 300-guest festival afternoon lands near seven or eight units. Put a wash station beside the food vendors, and include an accessible unit any time the public is invited in.
Federal rules set one facility for a crew of 20 or fewer, then a toilet seat plus a urinal for every 40 workers, and one of each for every 50 past 200. Oregon adds flush units and warm-water washing above its project value threshold, so tell your account manager the contract value too.
Once a week comes as standard. Each visit pumps out the tank, washes the bowl and floor, wipes everything down, and replaces paper and sanitizer. Hot Medford summers, crews over 20, and weekend festivals usually call for two or three visits, which your account manager can build into the schedule.
Normally no. A unit on your own yard, driveway, orchard, or fenced site needs no City approval. A street, sidewalk, alley, or park position does: that is a Work in the Public Right-of-Way permit, and a gathering of 50 or more on public ground also needs a special event permit.
The ADA model is the wider one. It has a flush threshold instead of a step up, grab bars fitted inside, and enough clear floor for a wheelchair to turn. The standard model is a narrow single stall with a toilet, a urinal, and sanitizer. Public gatherings need at least one accessible unit.
The listed ranges already assume three days, so a Friday to Sunday booking is covered. Budget $199–$349 for a standard unit, $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing one, and $150–$250 for a handwashing station. Your account manager confirms the delivery hour and the pickup day with you.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will work out the count, schedule the service visits, and give you a figure the same day.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
