Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Oregon City
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Oregon City, Oregon, and the Clackamas County communities along the Willamette. Construction on the hillside subdivisions and the infill lots above the falls, crews on road and utility work through the bluff and the Beavercreek corridor, events in the historic downtown and at the end of the Oregon Trail, and farm and nursery ground out east all keep units working here.
Your cost depends on the unit, how many you need, the rental length and how often they are serviced. Below are the ranges, the Oregon rule that changes the answer on bigger job sites, the city permit route, and what helps us deliver fast.
Those ranges cover a standard three-day rental. In Oregon City, four things move your own figure.
Project size is the first, and it catches people out. On a larger building project an Oregon rule changes which unit you can use at all, so a flushing unit or a trailer may be the only compliant choice. That is a different price point, worth knowing before you budget.
Rental length is next. Weekend orders price across three days, and long builds move to monthly cycles.
Service frequency is third. Each visit pumps, washes and restocks. A busy summer event or a large crew can justify a second visit in the same week.
Then the site. Oregon City is built on a bluff, and steep driveways, narrow older streets and soft winter ground all affect how quickly a service truck can get to a unit. A flat gravel pad near the street is cheap to serve. A pad at the bottom of a wet slope is not.

So in Oregon the value of your project decides your unit type, not just your crew size. A twelve-person crew on a small remodel can use standard units. The same crew on a large building project needs flush units and warm water washing. Oregon also requires the toilet and the area around it to stay in good repair and clean throughout.
Try our porta potty calculator for a first number, then give your account manager your project value as well as your crew size so the unit type is right from day one.
Choose by who uses it, for how long, and in Oregon, by what the project is worth. All the options are together on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty covers remodels, smaller builds and casual gatherings. Toilet, urinal, paper and sanitizer in a hard-wearing shell.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a level entry, a wide door, grab bars and turning room inside. Any public event needs at least one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty matters more in Oregon than elsewhere. It flushes, which is what the state rule asks for on larger projects, and it is also what wedding and reception guests want.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap and mirror inside the unit, which suits family events and food areas.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and vent fan on solar power. Useful on a dark Oregon winter afternoon and on sites with no power yet.
The Handwashing Station carries fresh water, soap and towels. On a larger Oregon job site this is part of the compliance picture, not an extra, and warm water is the detail to ask about.
The Restroom Trailer brings several stalls, running water and heating, which earns its keep on a long winter project or a guest-facing event.
Not sure what you need? Tell your account manager the crew size, the project value and the event numbers, and they will build it.
On private ground, no. A unit in your yard, on a building lot or on private parking in Oregon City needs no city permit.
Anything in the right of way: Oregon City requires a right of way permit for temporary obstructions in the public right of way, and the city names moving containers and debris dumpsters as its own examples of that. A unit set in a street, shoulder or sidewalk is the same kind of thing. You submit a site plan, and a traffic control plan where one applies, to the Public Works counter at City Hall on Fir Street before anything is approved. The fee is set out in the city's engineering fee chart, so ask for the current figure when you call 971-204-4601. Inspection is required before the city signs the work off.
Events: the city needs a Public Works special event permit for gatherings that involve large groups impacting the right of way, or that use city streets, the curb or parking lane, or sidewalks. Aim to file at least 60 days ahead. The application itself has a line for portable restroom facilities where you tick yes or no and write in the proposed location, so your unit plan is part of the submission. Expect the checklist to ask for a traffic control plan, a release and indemnity agreement, and liability insurance of $2,000,000 for each occurrence and $4,000,000 in aggregate naming the city and its officers. A city park needs a parks permit as well, and a county road or a state highway brings in the county or the state.
Food vendors: each one needs a Clackamas County Public Health temporary event food service license, which the city's own checklist calls out, and that license carries its own handwashing requirements for the booth.
One Oregon City point worth clearing up. Garbage and construction debris collection in Oregon City is franchised to a single company, and that franchise is drawn broadly. Portable toilet service is not part of it. The city's own definition of solid waste expressly leaves out chemical toilet waste, which is what a porta potty holds, and the franchise rules separately allow the pumping and hauling of that kind of waste. Portable toilet waste is handled as sewage under state environmental rules instead, which is a different system with its own licensing. So you can order units in Oregon City in the ordinary way. If anyone tells you otherwise, your account manager can talk it through with you.
Set units on firm, level ground with a clear truck approach. Oregon City's ground is a real consideration: the bluff is steep, winter rain is persistent, and clay that carries a loaded truck in August will not in February. Pick a spot with a straight run in and firm footing underneath.
Keep units clear of creeks, ditches and storm inlets, which all run to the Willamette, and off septic fields on the rural parcels past the city edge.
At an event, put units where the city agreed on the application, since the location goes in with the permit. On a job site keep them within a short walk of the crew, with the washing setup alongside on a larger project.
A standard rental gets one service visit a week. Each visit pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the interior, and restocks paper, soap and sanitizer.
The company doing that work has to hold a state sewage disposal service license from the Department of Environmental Quality, and portable toilets are named in the rules as part of that licensed activity. The license requirement is strict about what it covers: it reaches advertising or offering the service, not only performing it. A pumper also carries a state bond, has each of its trucks inspected by a local onsite septic program agent, and must hold a documented disposal agreement with every site that accepts its waste, so the destination is arranged in advance rather than on the day. The state publishes a searchable list of licensed pumper businesses, so you can check a supplier yourself if you want to. Your account manager can confirm your service schedule and how disposal is handled on your order.

Most Oregon City deliveries happen within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days of notice lets us match the unit type to your project, which matters here because the Oregon rule can change a standard unit into a flushing one. For a summer wedding, a downtown event or a festival weekend, book several weeks out, since the whole Portland metro draws on the same inventory.
Winter is the other factor. Delivery runs year round, but the wet season limits where a truck can safely reach on a slope or a soft lot, so mention winter access when you book.
Five things that speed a delivery up:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout Oregon City and the Clackamas County communities around it, including West Linn, Gladstone, Milwaukie, Happy Valley, Canby, Beavercreek, Redland and Clackamas. Whether your project is an infill lot above the falls, a build out along Beavercreek Road, or an event in the historic downtown, we plan delivery, servicing and pickup around your dates.
Standard units average $199–$349 and ADA-compliant units average $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink units run $300–$400, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Those are three-day figures. On a larger Oregon project the state requires flushing units, which shifts the quote, so give your account manager the project value.
Plan 1 unit per 50 guests across about four hours, adding 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served and more for an all-day event. Include at least one accessible unit for a public event and a handwashing station near food. The city's event form asks you to state where the units will stand.
The federal count sets the base: 1 toilet for a crew of 20 or fewer, then 1 toilet and 1 urinal per 40 workers. Oregon then adds a requirement for flush toilets and warm water washing facilities on projects above a published cost threshold. Your account manager will work both for you.
Weekly is the standard schedule. Each visit pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the interior, and restocks paper, soap and sanitizer. Oregon also requires the toilet and the area around it to stay in good repair and in a clean, sanitary condition. Busy events and big crews justify more visits.
No. A unit on your own lot, yard or job site in Oregon City needs no permit. A unit placed in the public right of way does, because the city treats a temporary obstruction there as permitted work. An event using city streets needs a separate permit. Your account manager can point you at the right office.
A standard unit is sized for one person to step up into. An ADA unit has a ground-level entry, a wider door, grab bars and enough floor space to turn a wheelchair. Public events need accessible units in each group. A site used only by a work crew is exempt from that rule.
Standard units average $199–$349 across a three-day weekend, so a single day costs close to all three. Flushing units and restroom trailers cost more and are the first to book out through the Oregon summer. Your account manager will confirm your weekend price and the delivery window.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will get the unit type right for Oregon rules, set a service schedule that works through the wet season, and give you a clear price on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
