Porta Potty Rental in Cape Coral, FL 33914

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Cape Coral, Florida, and the Lee County communities around it. Units go out to new home construction on the city's thousands of platted lots, seawall and dock work along the canal system, utility extension projects, roofing and remodeling crews, and outdoor events of every kind, from a waterfront festival to a neighborhood block party.

Your price depends on the unit you choose, how many you need, how long you keep them, and how often a truck comes back to service them. Portable Toilet Rentals in Cape Coral, Florida

Every range sits on a three-day rental, the way most Cape Coral event orders are written. A single Saturday and a full weekend normally price the same, so book the window you want.

Building sites run on a longer cycle. A house build on a Cape lot or a commercial shell on Pine Island Road is usually quoted in four-week blocks with the weekly service included, and the weekly figure drops steeply after the first block.

Florida makes the service schedule part of the math rather than an add-on. The state count assumes one service visit a week, and if you have the units pumped twice a week you may halve the number of units, or divide by three at three or more visits a week. On a tight Cape lot with nowhere to put four units, paying for extra visits can be the cheaper answer. Your account manager will price both ways.

Access and distance finish the picture. A drop beside a paved apron is quick both ways. A unit at the back of a canal lot, behind a locked gate, or on soft fill after a summer storm costs the driver time. Humidity and hurricane season also push many customers to a second weekly visit from June onward.

How Many Porta Potties Do I Need in Cape Coral, FL?

Florida writes its own table for building sites, and it is tighter than the national rule. Use the state numbers here:

  • Building sites, Florida's table: 1 to 10 people on site needs 1 restroom. 11 to 20 people needs 2. Then 3 for 21 to 30, 4 for 31 to 40, and 5 for 41 to 50, adding another unit for each further 10 people or part of 10. That table is in the state portable restroom rule, and it assumes weekly service.
  • The trade-off: The same rule lets you divide the count by two if units are serviced twice a week, or by three at three or more visits, rounding any fraction up.
  • Units are not optional: Florida requires restrooms at commercial and residential building sites for the whole of construction whenever workers are present, and they have to stay reachable while those workers are there.
  • Events: Florida has a separate event table that assumes daily service, and the count can be reduced where permanent restrooms are available to the crowd. We plan around 1 unit per 50 guests across four hours as a working figure, lifted 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served.
  • Handwashing: One handwashing station for every ten restrooms required, a count Florida triggers at special events and remote locations that serve food or offer picnic areas. Sanitizer may substitute elsewhere, never where food is served.
  • Accessible units: Each cluster needs an accessible unit, which the federal design standards put at roughly 1 in 20.

The federal construction rule would let a crew of 20 share a single facility. Florida does not, so plan to the state figure. Our porta potty calculator gives you a first number, and your account manager will square it with the Florida table before anything is booked.

Which Porta Potty Is Right for Your Project in Cape Coral, FL?

Pick around who uses the unit and for how long. Everything we carry is on our porta potty options page.

The Standard Porta Potty is the working unit on most Cape sites: one private stall with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer.

The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, enters at grade with no step, and has grab bars and chair turning space. Public events need one in every group.

The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and much stronger odor control, which earns its place in Southwest Florida heat.

The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries a sink, soap, and a mirror inside the stall, so guests do not have to cross the site to wash up.

The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and fan from a rooftop panel, which solves the problem on an unserviced lot or at an evening waterfront event.

The Handwashing Station is a free-standing sink with clean water, soap, and towels. Florida counts these separately and insists on a real station, not sanitizer, wherever food is served.

The Restroom Trailer is towable, with several private stalls, plumbed water, and air conditioning. Weddings, corporate days, and long-running sites justify it.

Not settled yet? Give your account manager your crew size or guest count and they will build the mix to the Florida table.

Do I Need a Permit for a Porta Potty in Cape Coral, FL?

Here is the good news first. Florida says plainly that a portable restroom placed at a building site, or anywhere for a temporary period, needs no permit from the state for the unit itself. The rules that bite are about who services it and what the city wants to see on an event plan.

Private property and building sites: On your own lot, a driveway, or a fenced job site, you will not need a City of Cape Coral permit for the unit. Keep it well inside your property line, clear of the swale and the public utility easement, because those belong to the City.

The right of way: Cape Coral's Public Works permit guidance says that if your work is in or affects the right of way or a public utility easement in any way, a permit has to be in hand before work starts, and only contractors licensed and registered with the City may do that work. The published permit is written for utility installation rather than for standing an object in the road, so call Public Works before you put anything in a swale or a street.

Events: The City requires a special event permit for every organized special event, and the application is due 90 days before the date. The form for events expecting more than 500 participants goes to the Special Events Division with $40 for processing. Events on City property need insurance naming the City of Cape Coral as additional insured. Your site plan has to be a labeled satellite view, and restrooms are one of the items the City expects to see keyed on it, alongside food trucks, vendors, and the dumpster.

The paperwork most people miss: Under state rules, an event organizer has to give the Department a signed contract with the portable restroom company at least one working day before the event, setting out the dates the units are on site, how many there are, how often they are serviced, and when they come away. That document comes from your supplier, so ask for it when you book.

Not sure what your event or your site needs? Your account manager can walk you through it well before delivery day.

Porta Potty Placement and Servicing in Cape Coral, FL

Where a unit stands decides how well it holds up in this climate.

Start with firm, level ground, clear of the swale. Cape Coral lots drain to shallow roadside swales, and a unit set in one is both in the City's right of way and in the path of the next downpour. Fill sand goes soft fast, so a mat or a pad under the feet is worth the trouble.

Keep units at least 15 feet away from food service and well back from canals, lakes, and storm inlets. On a building site, place them within about 200 feet of the crew. Florida also lets one contractor's neighboring lots count as a single site for the unit count, as long as no lot is more than 300 feet from the shared units, which is a real saving on a run of adjacent Cape lots. At an event, split the units into groups and give each one an accessible unit on flat, solid footing.

Florida sets the floor on servicing, not the supplier. Units have to be serviced at least weekly, with the interior cleaned on every visit, and units at special events have to be serviced at least daily. Every unit must show the servicing company's name and phone number. The service truck carries its own permit number, company name, phone, and tank capacity in letters at least three inches high, permanently applied rather than on a magnetic sign.

The waste leaves the city through the regulated system. The service company holds an annual permit from the state onsite sewage program for the county where it keeps its yard. Cape Coral itself treats municipal wastewater at the 13.4 million gallon per day Everest and 15.1 million gallon per day Southwest water reclamation facilities, and most of that output goes back out through the city's irrigation system. Your account manager can confirm your service schedule and the disposal point before delivery.

How Fast Can You Get a Porta Potty in Cape Coral, FL?

Most Cape Coral porta potty orders can be on site within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days lets us match the right units to the job. For a season festival, a holiday weekend, or a wedding on the water, allow several weeks, because all of Lee County wants the same dates.

These five habits keep a delivery smooth:

  • Count to the Florida table. Eleven workers on a lot already means two units, not one.
  • Weigh units against visits. Extra service visits can cut the required unit count, which matters on a narrow Cape lot.
  • Stay out of the swale. Set the unit inside your property line, clear of the easement and the drainage line.
  • Allow 90 days for an event. The City application is due three months out, with restrooms keyed on the site plan.
  • Ask for the service contract. Florida wants a signed one filed before an event, so request it when you book.

Cape Coral, FL Porta Potty Questions

How much does a porta potty rental cost in Cape Coral, FL?

A standard unit runs $199–$349 and an accessible one $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink models land between $300–$400, solar units between $500–$600, and restroom trailers open at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and service frequency all move the total, and in Florida those last two are linked. Your account manager confirms it in your free quote.

How many porta potties do I need for a party or event?

Florida has its own event table, built on daily service, and it allows a lower count where permanent restrooms are open to the crowd. As a working figure we plan 1 unit per 50 guests over four hours, plus 15 to 20 percent for alcohol. Add a handwashing station wherever food is served.

How many porta potties does a construction site need?

Florida, not the federal table, governs here. One restroom covers 1 to 10 people on site, two covers 11 to 20, three covers 21 to 30, and so on, adding one for each further ten. Servicing twice a week halves the count, rounding up. Your account manager will run both options.

How often do porta potties get cleaned?

Florida requires at least weekly service on a building site and at least daily service at a special event, with the interior cleaned every visit. More frequent service is common here because it also reduces the number of units the state requires. Your account manager can set the schedule that costs you least.

Do I need a permit to put a porta potty on my property?

No. State rules say a portable restroom at a building site or a temporary location needs no permit for the unit itself, and Cape Coral does not add one for private ground. Keep it inside your property line and out of the swale and easement. Your account manager can check your site with you.

What is the difference between a standard and an ADA porta potty?

A standard unit is one narrow stall with a toilet, a urinal, and sanitizer. The accessible model is wider, enters at grade with no step, and carries grab bars and room to turn a wheelchair. Public events need one in each group of units. Units used only by a work crew are exempt.

How much is a porta potty for a weekend?

Our ranges assume a three-day rental, so a weekend is the standard measure. A standard unit falls between $199–$349 and a deluxe flushing unit between $300–$400, with handwashing stations between $150–$250. Your account manager confirms the rental window, the drop time, and the collection.
