Porta Potty Rental in Dalton, GA 30720

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Dalton, Georgia, and the north Georgia towns spread along the I-75 corridor. Units serve mill and warehouse construction around the carpet plants, residential builds on the edges of town, downtown festivals and concerts at Burr Performing Arts Park, ballfield tournaments, church events and farm gatherings out toward the Whitfield County line.

Four things drive the price: which unit you take, how many, how long, and how often they are serviced. Georgia also writes more rules about portable toilets than most states do, and some of those rules land on you rather than on us, so what follows covers the counts, the permits, the service duty and the booking timing.

Portable Toilet Rentals in Dalton, Georgia

Those figures assume a three-day rental, the normal shape of a weekend booking in Dalton. Running a Saturday-only event rarely comes in cheaper than the full weekend.

Longer jobs are quoted differently. A plant expansion or a subdivision build is usually written in four-week blocks with a weekly cleaning visit already included, which brings the cost per week down sharply.

Service frequency is where Georgia changes the math. The state's own event table assumes units are cleaned daily, so a two-day festival priced on weekly service is priced wrong. Tell us the schedule you actually need and the quote will reflect it.

Site access finishes the picture. Georgia rules say a unit at a special event has to stay reachable by service truck the whole time, so a drop spot hemmed in by vendor tents or barricades turns into a problem. A clear lane keeps your costs down and your units clean. Your account manager will go through every one of these points with you.

How Many Porta Potties Do I Need in Dalton, GA?

Georgia publishes two separate tables, one for crews and one for crowds, and they live in the state's portable sanitation rules.

On a construction site, Georgia's own table sets 1 toilet per 20 workers up to 20 workers, 1 more toilet per 40 workers from 21 up, and 1 more per 50 workers from 200 up. Two Georgia details matter here. The count is taken from the most workers present on a regular eight-hour shift, and a shift longer than eight hours should double the number of units. The federal construction rules say much the same on numbers but add nothing about long shifts, so the Georgia reading is the one to plan from.

For an event, the state runs a real lookup table by crowd size and hours. A 500-person event over four hours needs 5 units, and 9 if it runs seven or eight hours. A 1,000-person event needs 8 units at four hours and 12 at eight. Two thousand people over four hours comes to 12 units, and 5,000 over eight hours to 50. Then you adjust: subtract 1 for each plumbed toilet already on site, add 25 percent when alcohol is served, and round up when your headcount falls between rows.

Downtown is stricter still. For an event at Burr Performing Arts Park, the City requires sponsors to supply portable toilets at their own cost, with at least one unit per 100 attendees as the floor. Units can go in no earlier than one business day ahead and have to be gone no later than one business day after.

For accessible units, the federal design standards work out to about 1 in 20 at a public event, with at least one in any group. For storm or tornado recovery, figure 1 unit per 10 relief workers. Our porta potty calculator gives you a fast starting point, and your account manager will run the Georgia table properly against your real numbers.

Which Porta Potty Is Right for Your Project in Dalton, GA?

Choose by who will use the unit and for how long. Everything is described on our porta potty options page.

The Standard Porta Potty carries most Dalton jobs. A single stall with urinal, tissue and sanitizer, right for crews, home projects and modest gatherings.

The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is the wide model with a level entry, grab bars and wheelchair turning room. Public events need one at a minimum.

The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty gives you a working flush and far better odor control, which is what guests at a reception or a reunion will notice.

The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink holds a sink, soap and mirror inside the stall, handy when there is nowhere nearby to wash up.

The Solar Porta Potty powers its own light and fan from a panel on the roof. Good for wooded tracts, rural acreage and events that run after dark.

The Handwashing Station is a freestanding sink with potable water, soap and towels. Georgia requires one of these to be stocked well enough to last until the next service visit, so place them where they get used.

The Restroom Trailer brings several stalls, real sinks and climate control. It is the right call for weddings, corporate functions and long-running sites.

Weighing the options? Give your account manager your crowd or crew size and they will build the order.

Do I Need a Permit for a Porta Potty in Dalton, GA?

A unit on private ground, such as your own yard, a fenced job site or farm acreage, does not normally need a City permit in Dalton. Georgia still puts one duty on you wherever the unit sits, which is covered below.

Streets, sidewalks and rights-of-way: The City treats an organized activity for entertainment, recreation or education as a special event when it happens on a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way, or on private property in a way that draws on city services in the right-of-way. Events outside downtown are filed with the Dalton Police Department, and you can reach Sergeant David Saylors at 706-278-9085, extension 192. The City's special event permit page has the application. Closing a street is priced separately, starting at a minimum of $250.00, and a special event or festival permit covering alcohol runs $300.00 per event.

Downtown events: These go through the Downtown Dalton Development Authority at 305 Depot Street, reachable at 706-278-3332, Monday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon. For Burr Performing Arts Park the application is due at least 60 days before your event date, with a nonrefundable $25.00 application fee, plus an impact fee, possible security costs and a refundable damage and cleanup deposit. Sixty days is the single most important number in the whole process, so start there.

The Georgia duty that catches people out: State rules make the special event sponsor and the construction site owner show proof of a service contract with a certified portable sanitation company. This is not a City permit and it does not depend on whose land you are on. If you are running an event for more than fifty people lasting more than two hours, or any job site with units, you need that contract on file.

Unsure which office or which duty applies to you? Your account manager can sort it out before anything leaves our yard.

Porta Potty Placement and Servicing in Dalton, GA

Georgia writes the placement rules down, which makes this easier than it is in most states.

Units go as close as practical to the biggest concentration of people and as far from the food service area as the site allows. User safety comes first in choosing the spot. At a special event the units must stay reachable by service truck at all times, so do not pin them behind a stage or a vendor row.

Pick firm, level ground with a clear truck lane. A spot that turns to mud after a north Georgia thunderstorm will cost you a service visit. Keep units well clear of storm drains, creeks and wells.

On servicing, the state is explicit about who carries the duty. Property owners, employers and event sponsors are responsible for making sure units are cleaned by a certified contractor at least once every seven days, and more often when use demands it. Service means sanitizing the seat and urinal, pumping the waste, recharging the odor control solution and restocking tissue. Remember the event table assumes daily service, so a busy festival is a daily job, not a weekly one.

The company doing that work has to hold a Waste Removal and Disposal Permit from the county health authority where the business is based, renewed every year and good anywhere in the state. The state rules also require that permit number and the firm's name on both sides of each truck in letters at least two inches tall, a manifest kept for twelve months, and disposal at a facility regulated by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. Locally, Dalton Utilities runs four wastewater treatment plants and a 9,600-acre forested land application system handling 20 to 25 million gallons a day. Your account manager will set the service schedule and confirm the drop locations.

How Fast Can You Get a Porta Potty in Dalton, GA?

Most Dalton orders can be delivered inside 24 to 48 hours. With three to five days of notice we can put the right models and the right number on the truck. Spring and fall festival weekends, graduation season and tournament dates book out first across north Georgia, so give those several weeks.

Five things that keep a delivery on track:

  • Fix the numbers first. Peak crowd and hours, or crew size and shift length, decide the count under the Georgia tables.
  • Get the 60-day clock started. A downtown park event needs its application in two months ahead, well before rental dates.
  • Ask about daily service. For a festival, weekly cleaning is not what the state table assumes.
  • Leave a truck lane. Units at an event have to stay reachable for servicing from setup to teardown.
  • Keep food separate. Georgia wants units as far from the food area as the site allows, so plan both at once.

Dalton, GA Porta Potty Questions

How much does a porta potty rental cost in Dalton, GA?

Standard units sit at $199–$349 and accessible units at $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink models are $300–$400, solar units $500–$600, handwashing stations $150–$250, and restroom trailers open at $1,500. Quantity, length of rental and how often they are cleaned set the final figure. Your account manager quotes it free.

How many porta potties do I need for a party or event?

Georgia publishes a table by crowd size and hours. Five hundred people over four hours calls for 5 units, a thousand people over four hours for 8. Then subtract one for each plumbed toilet on site, add 25 percent if alcohol is served, and round up between rows. Downtown park events need one unit per hundred attendees.

How many porta potties does a construction site need?

Georgia's construction table allows 1 toilet for every 20 workers up to 20, one more per 40 workers from 21 up, and one more per 50 from 200 up. Count from the most workers on a regular eight-hour shift, and double the units if shifts run longer than eight hours. Your account manager tracks changes in crew size.

How often do porta potties get cleaned?

State rules put the duty on the owner, employer or event sponsor to have units serviced at least once every seven days, and more often as use requires. A visit sanitizes the seat and urinal, pumps the tank, recharges the odor control and restocks tissue. Festivals should plan on daily service. Your account manager builds that into the contract.

Do I need a permit to put a porta potty on my property?

No City of Dalton permit is normally needed for a unit on your own land. Georgia does require any event sponsor or job site owner using portable units to show proof of a service contract with a certified company, whoever owns the ground. A unit in a street or at a downtown park event brings City permits into play. Your account manager can confirm which.

What is the difference between a standard and an ADA porta potty?

The standard unit is a slim single stall with a toilet, urinal and sanitizer. The accessible unit is much wider, enters at ground level, has grab bars and leaves room to turn a wheelchair inside. Federal design standards come out near one in twenty at a public event. Job site units used only by crews are exempt.

How much is a porta potty for a weekend?

Our ranges already cover a three-day rental, so a weekend is the usual measure. A standard unit is $199–$349 and a deluxe flushing unit $300–$400, with handwashing stations at $150–$250. Your account manager settles the delivery window, the cleaning visits and the pickup day with you.
