Baldwin County's disposal system is run by a public authority rather than a private operator, which makes the destinations easy to pin down. Fairhope project loads go to one of the county's permitted sites, and city code requires exactly that: construction debris must be taken to the county landfill or another landfill of the contractor's choosing, and never to the municipal landfill.
Most mixed loads go east to the Magnolia Landfill at 15480 Terra Bella Drive, Summerdale, AL 36580, about 13 miles from downtown. It is the county's only municipal solid waste landfill, and its published list of accepted materials covers household garbage, commercial waste, construction and demolition debris, yard waste, tree limbs, stumps, furniture, bulky items, and tires.
Clean demolition loads often go northeast instead, to the MacBride Landfill at 26941 McBride Road, Loxley, AL 36551, roughly 15 miles out. MacBride is a dedicated construction and demolition site, which can make it the better destination for a straight teardown.
For the odds and ends a container cannot take, there is a Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials, the Fairhope CHaRM, at 20609 Bishop Road right in town. All of the county's sites are open Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings, and you can check each one on the authority's own locations page. Your account manager confirms which site your load is headed to before the truck is dispatched.
