Most renovation and cleanout debris is accepted. The limits here come from the city's container rules and from the usual banned list.
Homewood bars ashes, cinders, gravel, rock, sand, earth, and minerals from both garbage containers and trash containers. That makes an inert load a separate job rather than something you fold into a mixed container, and it is the single most useful local rule to know before you order.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, used oil, and asbestos cannot go in a standard container anywhere, and that holds in Homewood too.
Homewood also keeps construction debris out of its own curbside service. The City's claw truck collects qualifying household piles, but contractors have to remove all the construction and landscaping debris they create, and debris must be placed at the curb and never in the street. A container is the route for a project, and the City says so on its own service page.
Tires and large appliances need separate handling and are usually billed per item. Tell your account manager when you book and we will route them properly.
