Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Eden Prairie
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and the southwest metro around it. Units serve office and warehouse construction along the Flying Cloud corridor, townhome and senior housing builds off Prairie Center Drive, utility and trail crews near the Minnesota River bluffs, and the events that fill Staring Lake, Round Lake, and the Purgatory Creek park, from a summer concert to a youth tournament weekend.
Four things set your price here: the unit you pick, how many you need, how long you keep them, and how often a truck services them. Below are our ranges, the crew counts Minnesota applies, the three different head counts Eden Prairie uses to decide which permit you need, and how to time a delivery.
Those ranges assume a three-day rental, which is the shape of most Eden Prairie weekend orders. A Friday setup, a Saturday event, and a Monday pickup all sit in the same per-unit figure.
Construction runs on four-week cycles instead, with a weekly service stop in the rate. The weekly number per unit drops once several units share one address, which is why a single large order usually beats several small ones.
Winter is the real local variable. Eden Prairie sites run through long stretches below freezing, and that means winterized units, deicing fluid in the tank, and a driver who needs a plowed, salted approach. Budget for that if your project crosses from November into April.
Where the unit stands is the other lever. On private property you pay for the unit and the service. In the street or on a sidewalk, you add a city obstruction permit and whatever the engineering counter charges for it. Your account manager will go through both routes with you.

Our porta potty calculator gets you a starting figure fast. Since the City is quiet on event restrooms, your account manager builds the count from crowd size, hours, food, and alcohol.
Match the unit to who uses it. The full lineup is on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is one stall with a seat, a urinal, paper, and sanitizer. It covers framing crews, landscape work, and small gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, enters flat, carries grab bars, and leaves turning room for a wheelchair. Put one in each cluster at a public event.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a real flush and better venting, which guests notice at a wedding or a corporate day.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a basin, soap, and mirror in the stall, so a reception line keeps moving.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and fan off the roof panel, which suits a river bluff trail project or an evening event with no power drop.
A Handwashing Station is a free-standing basin with clean water, soap, and towels. Set one beside every food area and one on each crewed job site.
The Restroom Trailer carries several stalls with plumbed water and heat. In a Minnesota winter that heat is the whole argument, and it also suits weddings and long-running sites.
Tell your account manager the crowd or the crew and they will put the mix together.
On private property, a yard, a driveway, a fenced job site, the City asks nothing for the unit itself. Public ground is where Eden Prairie gets specific, and it uses three different head counts.
A unit in the street or on a sidewalk. The City issues a Dumpster and Obstruction Permit through its Engineering Division, and that is the permit a portable toilet standing in the public right of way falls under. The right-of-way permit covers the placement of obstructions in a city right of way or public easement, and the City asks you to allow five business days for processing. Fees are due when the permit is issued, and the City is blunt that anyone who leaves a permit fee unpaid for 30 days gets no further permits until it is settled. Engineering answers on 952-949-8330.
Twenty people in a park. A Large Group Permit is required for groups of 20 or more, and the fee for it is $50.
Forty people in a park. At 40 or more you can no longer just hold a group permit. The City requires you to rent a park facility instead, which changes both your cost and your layout.
Fifty people anywhere public. The Police Department issues a permit to gather 50 or more people. The City does not publish the lead time or fee for it online, so call the Police Department before you commit to a date.
Food vendors go through the City's mobile food vendor permit and the county health process, which runs separately from the event approval.
Four offices, four thresholds. Your account manager can work out which ones your plan touches and point you at the right counter.
Where the unit goes decides what it costs to serve, so choose that first.
Find level, firm ground with truck access. Eden Prairie has a lot of rolling ground, soft lowland near the creek corridors, and tight apartment parking, all of which slow a service vehicle. Leave a straight approach with no low branches, and measure the gate before you promise a spot.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service and well back from Purgatory Creek, Nine Mile Creek, the lakes, and any storm inlet. On a job site, place them within about 200 feet of the crew. At an event, break them into two or three clusters rather than one row, and give each cluster an accessible unit.
Winter deserves its own plan. Freeze-ups come from standing water and from a tank that has gone too long between visits, so keep the service interval tight and ask for winterized units. Your driver also needs the approach cleared after every snowfall, not just once in December.
A standard rental includes a weekly service visit: pump the tank, wash the bowl and floor, wipe the surfaces, and restock paper and sanitizer. Portable toilet waste is its own named category in this region, and it goes to a Metropolitan Council liquid waste receiving site. The closest one is Blue Lake, at 6957 County Rd 101 E in Shakopee, which takes portable toilet waste around the clock, seven days a week. The regional rules also require all trash to be removed from a unit before it is pumped, which is one more reason to keep a trash can beside your cluster. Your account manager will set your service days.

Most Eden Prairie orders are placed within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days of notice lets us bring the exact mix the job needs, accessible units included. For a summer tournament or an outdoor wedding, book several weeks out, because the whole southwest metro wants those same dates.
Five things make an Eden Prairie delivery go smoothly:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Eden Prairie and the southwest metro communities around it, including Edina, Chanhassen, Minnetonka, Savage, Shakopee, Chaska, Bloomington, and St. Louis Park. Whether your site is an office build along Flying Cloud Drive, a trail project on the river bluffs, or a tournament weekend at Round Lake, we build the delivery, service, and pickup around your dates.
Standard units average $199–$349 and accessible units average $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink units run $300–$400, solar units $500–$600, handwashing stations $150–$250, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, service frequency, and winter service all shape the final figure. Your account manager confirms it free.
Start with 1 unit per 50 guests across about four hours, then add 15 to 20 percent if alcohol is served. Eden Prairie publishes no restroom count of its own. If your event is a licensed camping event, Minnesota law adds one toilet per sex per 150 sites. Your account manager will size it.
Minnesota adopts the federal construction standards, so the federal table applies: 1 facility for a crew of 20 or fewer, then 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers, and 1 of each per 50 above 200. Add a handwashing station. Your account manager will match the order to your crew size.
Once a week with a standard rental. Each visit pumps the tank, washes the bowl and floor, wipes the surfaces, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Busy events and big crews earn a second stop, and winter sites benefit from tighter intervals to avoid freeze-ups. Your account manager sets the schedule when you book.
No. On your own yard, driveway, or fenced site Eden Prairie asks nothing for the unit. Put it in the street, on a sidewalk, or in a public easement and you need an obstruction or right-of-way permit from the Engineering Division. Your account manager can confirm which side of the line your spot is on.
A standard unit is a narrow stall with a seat, urinal, paper, and sanitizer. The accessible model is wider, has a flat entry with no step, adds grab bars, and leaves room to turn a wheelchair. Federal rules want one in every cluster at a public event. Units used only by construction crews are exempt.
A weekend is our standard booking, since every range we quote assumes three days. Budget $199–$349 for a standard unit, $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing one, and $150–$250 for a handwashing station. Your account manager will confirm the drop window, the service visit, and the pickup time.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will work out the unit mix, set the service days, and quote it on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
