Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Holland
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Holland, Michigan, and the lakeshore communities around Lake Macatawa. Construction on the townships' edges, downtown streetscape work, blueberry and orchard crews, beach and park gatherings, spring festival crowds, weddings on the water, and race weekends all keep portable restrooms moving through this area. Those events and job sites are our steadiest work here.
Your price depends on unit type, how many you need, how long you keep them, and how often they're serviced. Below you'll find price ranges, the counts Michigan requires on a job site, the City approvals that apply on public land, and how to get your delivery booked.
Read each range as a standard three-day rental. A one-day event and a Friday-to-Sunday booking therefore tend to start from the same number.
Job sites run longer. Our long-term rentals go 28 days between collections, which is a better fit for a build on the lakeshore or a months-long roadway project.
May is the pressure point in Holland. Festival weeks draw enormous crowds downtown and clear the regional supply of units, so those dates want booking far ahead. Summer beach weekends run a close second.
Then there's the site. A unit on a paved lot with an open approach is quick. One on sandy ground near the lake, inside a job fence, or down a tight downtown alley costs the driver time on every visit. Your account manager will show you where each piece lands in the quote.

Two Michigan details are worth knowing. A job site with no sanitary sewer has to use a chemical, recirculating, or combustion toilet, which is exactly what is delivered. And only a mobile crew with transportation ready to reach nearby restrooms is exempt from the count. Our porta potty calculator gets you a starting number, and your account manager will square it with the state table.
Choose by who uses it and where it stands. Everything is compared on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is the everyday choice for job sites, yard projects, and casual gatherings. Toilet, urinal, paper holder, hand sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty enters flat at ground level with a wide door, grab bars, and turning space inside. Bring at least one to anything the public attends.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes and vents better, which guests notice at a lakeside wedding or a company celebration.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink builds the sink, soap, and mirror into the cabin, so one stop handles everything.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and fan from a panel, which suits orchard ground, dune-side sites, and lots without temporary power.
The Handwashing Station is a freestanding sink with clean water, soap, and towels. State food guidance expects soap and paper towels at every washing point, so plan one per food booth.
The Restroom Trailer gives you several stalls, running water, and climate control for weddings, corporate days, and long jobs.
Describe the day to your account manager and they'll build the right mix.
A unit on ground you own or control almost never needs City approval. Driveways, private lots, orchards, and fenced job sites are yours to arrange. Public land and organized events are different.
Events on City property: Holland requires approval for parades, walks, runs, assemblies, and events in parks. Applications go through the City's use of City facilities process, which must be submitted online after you've read the policy, with the application fee delivered to the City Clerk's Office. Anything using Windmill Island Gardens, including the causeway and parking lot, needs the Gardens staff to approve your plan before you even file, and park use there may be treated as a facility rental. City Hall is at 270 S River Avenue, phone 616-355-1300.
Food vendors: Holland doesn't license food service itself. As the City explains, all food licensing and permits come from the county: Ottawa County Health Department at 616-393-5645, or Allegan County Health Department at 269-686-4505 if your site falls on that side of the line. The City's own event packet tells organizers to contact Ottawa County no later than two weeks before the event. Michigan guidance for temporary food operations also expects toilets to be available to workers during all operating hours, and it accepts properly maintained portable toilets for that.
If you're not sure which county or department covers your site, ask your account manager and we'll sort it out before delivery.
The placement decision pays off on every service visit.
Put units on firm, level ground. Lakeshore sand shifts and low ground west of town stays soft after spring rain, so pick a spot the truck can still reach in a wet week. Leave a straight approach clear of low branches, soft shoulders, and parked cars.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service, and well back from Lake Macatawa, the channel, and any storm inlet. On a job site, place them within about 200 feet of the work face, and pair them with washing facilities if your crew is handling paints, coatings, or sprays, which Michigan requires. At an event, split units into clusters and put the accessible one on level paving.
Weekly service is standard, and Michigan's rule expects toilets to be serviced and maintained on a regular basis with paper kept stocked. Heavy crews and festival weekends usually need a second visit.
Michigan treats what comes out of a portable unit as septage waste, and the company servicing it is a licensed septage waste servicer. State rules require the business name and the words "licensed septage hauler" on the truck cab, a daily volume log in every licensed vehicle, and disposal only at an authorized receiving facility, all under the state septage program. Locally, wastewater is treated at the Holland Board of Public Works water reclamation facility, which handles about nine million gallons on an average day and discharges to Lake Macatawa. Your account manager can set the service rhythm that matches your site.

Most Holland deliveries go out within 24 to 48 hours. Give us three to five days and you'll get exactly the units you wanted. May festival weeks and summer beach weekends are the crunch, so book those on a much longer runway.
Five habits that keep a delivery on track:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout Holland and the surrounding lakeshore communities, including Zeeland, Hudsonville, Park Township, Holland Charter Township, Laketown, Fillmore, Saugatuck, and Douglas. Whether the job is a build out toward the county line or a tent on a beachfront lot, we plan delivery, service, and pickup around your dates.
Standard units average $199–$349 each, ADA-compliant units $200–$300, and deluxe models $300–$400. Restroom trailers begin at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and service frequency decide where your quote lands. Your account manager will confirm the figure during your free quote.
Plan one unit per 50 guests over a four-hour event, then add 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served. Long festival days and hot lakeshore afternoons need more. Public events should include an accessible unit, and every food booth needs a handwashing station nearby.
Michigan uses its own table. One toilet covers a crew of 1 to 20, two toilets cover 21 to 40, and above 41 you add one more for every extra 40 workers or fewer. Sites without a sewer must use chemical or similar toilets. Your account manager can size it for your crew.
Weekly on a standard rental. Each visit pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the interior, and restocks paper and hand sanitizer. Michigan expects regular servicing and a stocked unit, so busy sites often go twice. Your account manager can set the frequency when you book.
Usually not. A unit on your own lot, driveway, orchard, or fenced job site in Holland needs no City approval. You do need approval for City parks, streets used for a parade or run, and events on public property. Your account manager can help you find the right office.
A standard unit is the compact single-stall cabin. An ADA unit is wider, enters flat at ground level, and adds grab bars plus turning room for a wheelchair. Public events should include roughly one accessible unit per 20. Crew-only job sites are not held to that ratio.
Our ranges assume a three-day rental, so a one-day event and a full weekend usually cost the same. Standard units average $199–$349, deluxe flushing units $300–$400, and handwashing stations $150–$250. Your account manager will confirm delivery and pickup windows with your quote.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll size the order to the state table, set your service visits, and give you a clear price on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
