Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Tooele
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Tooele, Utah, and the Tooele Valley communities west of the Oquirrh Mountains. New subdivision construction on the valley floor, warehouse and distribution building along the Interstate 80 corridor, rodeo and fair weekends, desert races and off-road events, and county park gatherings all keep portable toilets busy out here.
Your price depends on the unit type, how many you need, how long they stay, and how often a truck services them. Below you'll find local price ranges, how Utah's own rules set your unit count, which Tooele office handles which permit, and what to expect on delivery.
Those ranges reflect a standard three-day rental, the way a Tooele weekend event is normally quoted. A single Saturday and a three-day run usually come out at a similar figure.
Distance is a bigger factor here than in the Salt Lake Valley. Tooele sits a good drive from the valley floor services, and a unit set far out toward Grantsville, Rush Valley, or a desert staging area adds travel time to every service visit. Grouping units saves money.
Rental length is the other lever. A long build on the west side is quoted in monthly cycles with a set service plan, and the effective daily cost falls well below an event rate.
Weather shapes the schedule. Summer heat out on the flats pushes crews toward a second weekly visit, and winter wind and snow on exposed sites mean units need staking and a plowed approach for the truck.

Request a Quote NowUtah splits this into two very different answers, so start with which one applies to you.
Use our porta potty calculator for a first pass, then have your account manager check it against the state table if your crowd is anywhere near a thousand.
Let the user and the length of the day decide. Our porta potty options page walks through every model side by side.
The Standard Porta Potty covers job sites, ranch work, and casual gatherings, with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty adds a wide door, a flat entry, grab bars, and turning space for a wheelchair. Include one in each group at a public event.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty gives guests a flush and a cleaner feel, which matters at weddings and company events.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries its own sink, soap, and mirror behind the door, which families and anyone serving food will thank you for.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and fan from a solar panel, which is the practical answer on a desert staging area with no power for miles.
The Handwashing Station comes stocked with fresh water, soap, and paper towels. Utah counts one per ten toilets at a mass gathering, and Tooele County requires one at every food booth.
The Restroom Trailer brings several stalls, running water, and climate control, which is worth it for a summer wedding or a long corporate event.
Not sure what to order? Give your account manager the headcount and the hours and they'll put the mix together.
Put a unit on land you own or control, for work you are doing yourself, and no City permit comes into it. Here is where that changes.
Private property: keep the unit on your own lot and off the park strip, the sidewalk, and the street. Tooele City publishes no screening requirement and no time limit for a unit standing on private land.
City property, streets, and sidewalks: Tooele City requires a Special Event Permit for any activity held partly or entirely on City property, streets, or sidewalks. That covers street closures and block parties, blocking or restricting public property, parades, races and marathons, large organized events in a public park, and filming.
Lead time and fee: the application and the fee go to Parks and Recreation at 255 South 100 East no less than 30 days before the event date, and the City sets a non-refundable processing fee of $50.00. Your event is not approved until the permit is issued, and third-party permits can take longer than 30 days on their own. The City suggests booking an appointment at 435-843-2141 to go through the application.
Excavation in the road: tunnelling under or digging into any street, alley, or other public place or right of way in Tooele City needs an excavation permit first, and the contractor doing that work has to be state-licensed. Public Works is at 90 North Main Street, phone 435-843-2130.
Large events: a gathering of 1,000 or more people lasting two or more hours a day is a temporary mass gathering, permitted and inspected by the Tooele County Health Department. The application is due at least 30 days before the first day and at least 15 days before your first advertisement. The site plan has to show the location, type, and provider of restroom facilities, so have your order settled before you file. Environmental Health answers at 435-277-2440.
Food vendors: the mass gathering permit does not cover them. Each vendor needs its own temporary event food booth permit, and each booth needs a working hand wash station with soap, disposable towels, flowing water from a container with a handled spigot, a catch basin, and a waste receptacle. The wastewater has to be disposed of properly.
If you are not sure which office covers your site, your account manager can find the right contact before delivery.
Utah's event rules give you a clear placement standard, and it is worth following on private jobs too.
Keep portable toilets at least 100 feet from any food service operation, and no more than 300 feet from the grand stand, the spectators, or the activity they serve. At a permitted mass gathering, the health officer can relax those distances when the site will not allow them.
Set units on firm, level ground with a clear approach for a pump truck. Out on the flats, wind is the thing people underestimate, so ask about staking on exposed sites and keep units out of the path of drifting snow in winter. On a job site, place them within a short walk of the work so your crew is not giving up time crossing a big lot.
A weekly visit is the baseline. On each one the tank is pumped out, the inside is washed down, and the paper and sanitizer are topped up. Summer crews and busy event weekends usually earn a second visit, and your account manager can build that in from the start.
Waste from your units goes to a permitted treatment plant. Tooele City's Reclamation Division runs the City's sewer collection and treatment system, including the main lines under most City streets and the odor management work at the treatment plant. Your account manager can put the service dates in writing and tell you which plant receives your waste.

Most Tooele orders can be on site within 24 to 48 hours. Three to five days of notice lets us match the unit type to the job and plan the route, which matters more here because of the drive. Rodeo, fair, and race weekends tighten supply across the valley, so book those several weeks out.
These five steps keep a delivery on schedule:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout Tooele and the surrounding Tooele Valley communities, including Grantsville, Erda, Stansbury Park, Lake Point, Stockton, Rush Valley, Vernon, and Wendover, as well as east over the pass into Magna and the west side of the Salt Lake Valley. Whether your site is a new subdivision, a warehouse build, or a race out on the flats, we plan delivery, servicing, and pickup around your dates.
A standard unit in Tooele averages $199–$349, and an accessible unit averages $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink units average $300–$400, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, service frequency, and how far out the site sits all move the total. Your account manager confirms it in your free quote.
For a normal party, plan 1 unit per 50 guests over about four hours, plus 15 to 20 percent more with alcohol. Once a gathering reaches 1,000 people for two or more hours a day, Utah's own table sets the count, and alcohol adds 40 percent on top. Your account manager will work out which applies.
Utah runs its own workplace safety plan, but it adopted the federal sanitation rules. A crew of 20 or fewer needs one facility, and above that it is one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 workers, and one per 50 past 200. Summer heat on the flats often justifies more. Your account manager will size it.
Once a week is standard. Each visit empties and sanitizes the tank, wipes down the inside, and refills paper and hand sanitizer. Heavy use, large crews, and summer heat push many Tooele customers to twice a week. Your account manager can time the visits around your busiest days.
Usually not. A unit on your own Tooele lot for your own project needs no City permit. Keep it off the park strip, the sidewalk, and the street. Any activity on City property, a street, or a sidewalk is different and needs a Special Event Permit filed at least 30 days ahead.
A standard unit is built for one person stepping in and out. An accessible unit is wider, has a flat entry with no step up, adds grab bars, and leaves turning room for a wheelchair. Public events need at least one in each group of units. Units used only by a construction crew are exempt from that rule.
A standard unit averages $199–$349, and weekend rentals are quoted on a three-day basis. A Saturday-only event usually costs close to what the full weekend costs. Flushing units, sink units, and restroom trailers run higher. Your account manager will confirm your weekend total and the delivery window.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll size the order against the rules that apply to you, plan the service route for the drive out, and give you a clear price on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
