Prime Dumpster coordinates porta potty rentals across Wenatchee, Washington, for orchard and packing-shed work through the Columbia valley, for construction along the river and up the hillside neighborhoods, and for the festivals and sporting events this city runs through the warm months. Wenatchee is the Chelan County seat, sitting where the Wenatchee River meets the Columbia, and it is a long way over the Cascades from the rest of the state.
Your cost depends on the unit count, the booking length, the service frequency, the models you pick and how far the truck travels. Washington writes a stricter construction count than the federal table and it also publishes an event schedule that very few people know about, so Prime Dumpster has set out both below along with one state rule portable toilets genuinely cannot satisfy.
Washington's wash water rule shapes a Wenatchee quote first, because it applies at every site rather than only large ones. The state requires clean, tepid wash water, between 70 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit, at every construction site. It also requires hand towels and a cleanser strong enough to remove paints, coatings, herbicides and insecticides. In orchard country that matters, so handwashing is part of the core order.
Distance is second. Wenatchee sits well away from the Puget Sound metro, so delivery and service carry more weight in the price than in a dense market.
Third is the state's inspection duty, set out below. It puts a written check at the start of every shift, so a steady service schedule pays off.
Unit type is the fourth. Standard units cover the trades, and a flushing unit or trailer suits a wedding in one of the valley's orchard venues.

The state rule is written to cover both portable chemical toilets and flush toilets. The table runs one toilet for one to ten employees, two for eleven to twenty-five, three for twenty-six to forty, four for forty-one to sixty, five for sixty-one to eighty, then one more toilet for each additional twenty employees or any fraction of that. Compare the federal table, which allows a single facility all the way to twenty workers, and the gap at a crew of a dozen is immediate.
Where you already have plumbed toilets, the state lets you subtract. If an employer provides both flush and portable chemical toilets, the number of employees the flush toilets can serve is calculated and then subtracted from the total, and portable units are required only for the employees who remain. On a Wenatchee packing facility or a building with working restrooms in part of it, that calculation is worth doing before you order.
Several state duties come with the count. Units need internal latches to prevent inadvertent entry. Where there are twenty or more employees of both sexes, separate facilities for each sex are required. Chemicals, toilet tissue and seat covers have to be kept in a supply sufficient for the entire shift, and any defective or inadequate unit must be removed from service immediately.
On a multiemployer site the duty sits at the top. Washington puts responsibility for meeting the sanitation requirements on the prime contractor, while each employer remains responsible for seeing that facilities are provided for its own workers.
A written inspection duty comes with it, and we can help. At the start of each shift the facilities must be checked. Anything failing must be put right at once, and the action written up and kept on site for at least seventy-two hours. The check covers water supply, cleanliness, wash water temperature, towels, cleansers and the state of each unit. We can set the service schedule so the site passes.
For events, Washington has a state schedule few people know about. It covers an outdoor music festival with predicted attendance of two thousand or more lasting five hours or longer. It calls for three toilets for each sex for the first five hundred patrons, then one more per sex for each extra five hundred or major fraction, based on projected maximum daily attendance. So two thousand patrons means six per sex, or twelve units. Separate facilities per sex are required, and chemical toilets may be used as the local health officer approves. Units go within three hundred feet of all day-use and camping areas, next to food concessions, medical and administrative areas, with toilet paper provided. Places of worship, stadiums and arenas within seating capacity are excluded, as are government-sponsored fairs on established fairgrounds. That last point matters here, where a fairground event and a field concert differ.
One state requirement portable toilets cannot meet, and we will say so plainly. Washington requires a lactation space on construction sites that is not a bathroom or a portable toilet. No porta potty, accessible unit or restroom trailer satisfies that rule. If your site needs to comply, it needs a separate provision, and we would rather tell you that than imply a portable toilet covers it.
The Standard Porta Potty is the everyday unit for orchard and construction crews, needing no hookups.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a level entry, grab bars and interior turning room, and belongs at every public event here.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a foot-pump flush and fresh water, the usual choice for a valley wedding.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink combines both, though on a construction site it does not replace the separate tepid wash water provision the state requires.
The Solar Porta Potty lights the interior for events running into the evening at a rural venue.
The Handwashing Station is central in Washington rather than optional, because of the tepid water duty at every construction site. Take it seriously on orchard work where chemical residues are in play.
The Restroom Trailer covers weddings, corporate events and long-running sites. Every model offered over the Cascades is listed on the porta potty options page.
On private property, no permit attaches to the unit. The regulation that matters in Washington is on the servicing side and it runs through your local health jurisdiction rather than through a statewide roster.
Washington's on-site sewage rules require septage to be removed by an approved pumper, and approval under those rules sits with the local health officer. For Wenatchee that means Chelan Douglas Health rather than a state agency. There is no statewide name-searchable register of companies to check, so the practical step is to ask your supplier which local health jurisdictions have approved it, and to ask the health authority if you want that confirmed. Chelan Douglas Health is at 200 Valley Mall Parkway in East Wenatchee and can be reached on 509-886-6400 through its own site.
For a street, sidewalk or park placement, the route runs through the City of Wenatchee's own permitting for work and obstructions in the right-of-way, and that is a conversation to have before you fix a location. We never promise a right-of-way spot without the city's written confirmation. For an event in a city park or on a closed street, the event approval and the sanitation arrangements are usually handled together, so raise the unit count and the service plan at the same time as the application.
You can read the state construction sanitation rule, including the table and the inspection duty, on the Washington Legislature's own rules site, and the outdoor festival toilet schedule is published in the same place.
Washington gives more detail on siting than most states, and it is worth following.
Units should sit within reach of the people using them, and the state expects a unit within two hundred feet on a construction site and on every third floor of a structure under construction. Tanks are not to be allowed past half full, which is the practical driver of service frequency rather than a fixed calendar interval.
Choose level, firm ground the truck can reach. In the orchards that often means an access road rather than a row, and in the hillside neighborhoods above the city it means checking the turning space before delivery day. Tell us where the ground stays soft after irrigation.
Keep units clear of food service and drinking water at events, and set them immediately adjacent to food concessions and medical and administrative areas where the state festival schedule applies, since that is what the rule asks for.
The mobile crew exception matters if crews move between orchard blocks. The wash water and toilet rules do not apply to mobile crews or normally unattended locations where workers have transport immediately available, in the normal course of their duties, to nearby facilities meeting the rule. That is a narrow test, not a blanket exemption.
Where the waste goes follows from the approved pumper arrangement: it is taken to works permitted to receive it, under the approval the local health officer has given. If your project file needs that named, your account manager can confirm the current arrangement.

Standard units reach Wenatchee sites within a couple of business days in normal conditions. Winter over the passes and harvest-season demand both tighten that, so earlier is better here than in most markets.
Harvest and the summer festival calendar are the valley's pinch points. Your account manager tracks stock east of the mountains and will say what is free.
Wenatchee sits further from its nearest sister locations than most cities we serve, so this list reaches past our usual sixty-mile preference: Moses Lake lies southeast across the Columbia basin, Ronald and Ellensburg sit southwest and south over Blewett and Snoqualmie country, and each is a little over an hour out. The road figures run well above the straight-line distances because the routes follow the river valleys and the mountain passes rather than cutting across. Give your account manager your location and we will confirm the schedule.
Across the valley a standard unit is $199 to $349, an accessible unit $200 to $300, and a flushing or sink model $300 to $400. Handwashing stations run $150 to $250 and trailers start at $1,500. Washington's tepid wash water duty means stations are usually part of the core order here, which your account manager will factor in.
For an outdoor music festival of two thousand or more lasting five hours or longer, Washington requires three toilets per sex for the first five hundred patrons and one more per sex per additional five hundred. Smaller or private events fall outside that, so we plan near one unit per fifty guests and confirm with your account manager.
Washington beats the federal table from eleven workers: one toilet for one to ten, two for eleven to twenty-five, three for twenty-six to forty, four for forty-one to sixty, five for sixty-one to eighty, then one per additional twenty. Separate facilities per sex are required at twenty or more employees of both sexes.
Washington drives frequency through condition rather than calendar: tanks must not pass half full, supplies must last the whole shift, and a start-of-shift inspection has to be documented and kept on site for seventy-two hours. We set the interval from real use so those checks pass. Your account manager sets it from your peak crew.
No permit attaches to a unit on your own property in Wenatchee. The approval requirement falls on the servicing company, which must be an approved pumper under the local health officer's rules. A street, sidewalk or park placement needs the city's own right-of-way or event approval, confirmed in writing first.
An accessible unit is wider, with a ground-level entry, grab bars and space inside for a wheelchair to turn. A standard unit is narrower, with a step at its threshold. Any Wenatchee event open to the public should include at least one accessible unit, counted within the total the state schedule or your plan requires.
A weekend standard unit in Wenatchee usually sits in the middle of the $199 to $349 range, since travel distance on this side of the Cascades affects delivery and collection. A flushing unit or trailer for a weekend wedding costs more. Your account manager will confirm the rate and the collection day.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will run the state subtraction calculation for you if you already have plumbed toilets on site.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
