Park City's household collection comes through Summit County's curbside program on a two-week cycle, which covers nothing like a renovation. For a project, the container is the only practical route.
A construction or demolition load from Park City goes to the Henefer Landfill at 2140 North Henefer Landfill Road, Henefer, UT 84033, about 35 miles north. Summit County runs it as a construction and demolition landfill, and it takes wood, asphalt, metals, bricks, glass, plastics, green waste, and building components. The gate is open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed on all federal and state holidays.
The nearer county site, the Three Mile Canyon Landfill at 6550 West Three Mile Canyon Road, Coalville, UT 84017, about 30 miles northeast, is a household waste landfill and cannot take a commercial construction load. It runs 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and also collects household hazardous waste from county residents.
Both sites charge by weight and both charge double on an uncovered load, which is why the covered container the city requires also protects your bill. Your account manager will confirm which landfill your load is headed to and what the tipping fees come to before delivery.
