The 10-Yard Dumpster is our smallest. It suits a bathroom tear-out, a small cleanout, or a landscaping project. It's also the right call for concrete, brick and dirt, which reach the weight limit while the container still looks half empty.
The 15-Yard Dumpster handles mid-size work such as a garage cleanout, a flooring pull, or a small roof job. It gives you more room without taking up much more driveway.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is the common pick for a Tooele home. It covers a whole-house cleanout or a remodel across several rooms, and it still fits a standard two-car driveway.

On private property, such as your own driveway or a fenced job site, you don't need a City permit in Tooele. That's the only place a container may go.
Tooele City goes further than most cities on this. Its code bans containers in the public way outright. Nobody may place a dumpster, refuse container or storage container on a public street, on a sidewalk, or anywhere inside a street right-of-way, before, during or after construction next door. The code says such containers have to sit on the property they serve. There's no permit that buys you an exception.
The City backs that up. Obstructions left in a street or on a sidewalk may be removed and disposed of immediately, and the City can issue a civil fine of $50 for a first offense, $100 for a second and $250 for a third, with unpaid fines added to your City utility bill.
A separate permit covers digging in a street, and that one is priced by the number of inspections the work needs. It applies to excavation, not to a container standing still.

Most household and construction debris is fine to load. The limits come from what the county landfill accepts and from Utah's approach to hazardous material.
Electronics have to stay out. The Tooele County Solid Waste Facility takes no electronic waste at all, so a TV or a monitor hidden under a load of drywall can cause trouble at the gate.
Hazardous waste is refused there too. Utah's environmental agency points out that household hazardous material ends up in landfills that were never designed for it, and it names Tooele County as one of the places with its own collection site. Anything labeled toxic, flammable, corrosive or reactive belongs there, not in your container. That covers paint, solvents, fuel, pesticides and old cleaners.
