Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals for Alma, Colorado, the small Park County town on the Fairplay side of Hoosier Pass where the work is cabin and residential construction on short summer schedules, mining claim and land projects, utility jobs, and the occasional event held at altitude on ground that is frozen for much of the year.
Alma sits above ten thousand feet, and that single fact governs the season, the service plan and the lead time more than any rule in its code does. Below are the ranges, what the town's own rules actually say, the crew figures for a job site, and an honest account of the distances involved.
Season is the first thing that shapes an Alma order, and it is a harder constraint than price. The building window here is short, everyone wants the same weeks, and a booking made in March for July gets a better outcome than one made in June.
Travel is the second. Alma is a long way from any Front Range yard, so the delivery and collection legs carry real cost and two units on one trip price better per unit than two separate trips.
Freezing is the third, and it is specific to places like this. A unit at this elevation needs its service planned around overnight temperatures, and that affects the interval rather than the headline rate.
Rental length still helps. A cabin build spanning a whole short season is priced better per day than a two week booking would be. Your account manager will plan the route and the interval with you.

Request a Quote NowAlma sets no number. Its code carries no ratio, no event chart and no construction count, which we confirmed by reading it, so the figure comes from the federal table and from planning.
Run your figures through the porta potty calculator and let your account manager match them to the season you are working in.
At this elevation the choice is about cold, wind and daylight. The full range is on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is one enclosed stall with toilet, urinal, paper holder and sanitizer, and it covers most Alma cabin and utility work.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty gives a wider cabin, a level threshold, grab bars and turning space, and any Alma gathering open to the public needs one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and stronger odor control, though at this altitude the freezing question needs settling with it.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink holds the basin, soap and mirror inside the cabin, which keeps the water out of the wind.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and vent from a roof panel, and on a high unserviced site with short winter daylight that is a genuinely practical choice.
The Handwashing Station is the freestanding sink with clean water, soap and towels, and it is what satisfies the federal washing requirement on a staffed site.
The Restroom Trailer is a heated, plumbed building with separate stalls, and the heating is the point here, with the caveat that it needs a route in and a level standing.
Tell your account manager the elevation of the site, the access and the dates, and the mix follows.
Alma is an incorporated town, so unlike several places in this part of Colorado it genuinely has a code of its own. We read it, and the answer is a clean one.
There is no Alma portable restroom permit. We read the town's business licensing, health and sanitation, general offenses, streets and public places, and building chapters, and found no portable toilet provision, no portable restroom permit, no chemical toilet rule and no event ratio. That is a tested absence rather than an assumption.
The town's only words close to the subject are old ones, and they do not reach a rented unit. Alma's sanitation chapter makes it an offense to deposit or throw into any sanitary sewer, storm sewer, sewer inlet or privy vault that has a sewer connection any article that might cause it to become offensive to others or injurious to public health. Two things follow. It governs what may be put into such a thing rather than whether one may be placed, and its own qualifying words require a sewer connection. A self-contained portable unit has no sewer connection, so the provision does not reach it, and we are not going to stretch it into one.
Worth knowing, though it imposes nothing on your unit. Alma runs an outdoor lighting article, in force for fixtures installed since October 1999 on private and public property, which defines an outdoor light fixture as an outdoor artificial illuminating device whether permanent or portable, and defines light trespass and shielding. Read in scope, that reaches outdoor lighting. A portable restroom's light sits inside the cabin, so nothing is carried from that article as a duty here. It is mentioned because it tells you something true about the town, which cares about its night sky, and because a contractor bringing site floodlights to an Alma job should read it even though a restroom unit does not engage it.
Park County sits above the town. For questions the town does not answer, and for anything outside the town boundary, Park County is the authority, and its environmental health office is the right contact for a wastewater question.
The state hands that wastewater question to the county on purpose. The Colorado health department's on-site wastewater page explains that on-site systems, which it describes as septic systems, are governed by Regulation 43, that permitting for flows of two thousand gallons a day or less is carried out by local counties, and that every local public health agency in the state has adopted rules at least as stringent as the state regulation. The regulation text itself was not obtainable at source, so no claim is made here about how Colorado classifies the contents of a portable unit.
On your own ground, normally nothing. A unit on your own Alma lot, serving your own project, needs no permit of its own. A placement on a town street or a county road is the case worth asking about first.
Your account manager will make the town or county contact before anything is placed.
At this elevation placement is about wind, frost and the short season, and the ordinary advice needs adjusting.
Set the unit on the firmest level ground you have, and anchor it properly, because wind at ten thousand feet is a different proposition from wind on the plains. Keep the approach short and straight, since a service vehicle has less margin on frozen gravel. Keep clear of any septic field, well head or watercourse. In shoulder season, think about where snow will be pushed when the drive is cleared, because a unit buried behind a berm cannot be serviced. On a staffed site stand the sink beside the stall and expect to protect the water line from freezing.
Weekly service is the standard pattern and it is usually the right one here, with a bigger tank often making better sense than a second long trip. A visit means the tank drawn down, the bowl and floor scrubbed, the surfaces wiped and the paper and sanitizer made up.
Collection is arranged through a permitted local partner, and winter access is the thing to settle at booking rather than on the day. Hoosier Pass and the approach roads can close, and your account manager will agree a plan for that with you up front.

Plan further ahead than anywhere else in this batch. Three to five days is a realistic target in season and more is wiser in summer, because the run is long and the building weeks are few.
Four habits that keep an Alma delivery clean:
Prime Dumpster serves Alma and the surrounding South Park and upper Platte country, and the distances deserve stating plainly rather than dressing up. The nearest community with its own porta potty page is Evergreen, about forty six miles northeast over high ground, and the rest are further again, out past sixty. There is no near neighbor to list because there genuinely is not one, and that is why lead time and trip planning matter more here than price does. The pages nearest Alma are Evergreen 46 miles northeast, Golden 54 northeast, Woodland Park 57 east, Lakewood 60 northeast, Littleton 60 east and Wheat Ridge 61 northeast.
A standard unit runs $199–$349, an accessible unit $200–$300, the deluxe flushing and sink models $300–$400, a solar unit $500–$600, a handwashing station $150–$250, and a restroom trailer from $1,500. The long haul to Alma and the short building season both affect the quote, so your account manager prices the trip as well as the units.
Alma publishes no guest figure, and we confirmed that by reading its code. Plan about one unit per fifty guests across four hours, add fifteen to twenty percent where alcohol is served, and include an accessible unit for anything open to the public. Your account manager will adjust for altitude and exposure.
Colorado runs no plan of its own, so the federal standard governs an Alma site directly. One facility covers a crew of twenty or fewer, a toilet seat and a urinal follow for every forty workers above twenty, and one of each per fifty above two hundred. Nothing in Alma's code sets a different number or bars a chemical unit.
Weekly is standard. At this elevation the sensible trade is often a larger tank rather than a second long trip, and freeze protection matters as much as frequency. A visit means the tank drawn down, the bowl and floor scrubbed, the surfaces wiped and the consumables made up, with the interval agreed with your account manager.
On your own Alma lot, serving your own work, normally not. The town has a code and we read it, and it contains no portable restroom permit at all. A placement on a town street or a county road is the case to raise first, and your account manager will make that contact.
A standard Alma unit is one narrow stall with a toilet, a urinal and sanitizer. The accessible model is a wider cabin with a level threshold, grab bars and room to turn a wheelchair. On uneven high ground the level threshold needs a properly flat pad, and federal design standards put five percent of a cluster in the accessible class.
Two days sits inside the short window these ranges assume, so a standard unit is $199–$349, a deluxe flushing model $300–$400 and a handwashing station $150–$250. For an Alma weekend, book well ahead and confirm the approach road is open at that time of year.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will plan the haul and the service interval around the season, size the order against the federal crew table, and tell you what the town and Park County will each want to know.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager stays with it from there, covering the unit count, the freeze plan, the county contact and the delivery window.
