in Castle Rock
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals across Castle Rock, Colorado, the Douglas County seat on Interstate 25, where demand runs to heavy residential construction in the Meadows and Crystal Valley, commercial build-outs along Founders Parkway, acreage and ranch projects out on the plains side, and the events that fill the downtown streets and Philip S. Miller Park through the summer.
Castle Rock is also the clearest case in this batch of a town that publishes a right-of-way route and then limits who may use it. Below are the ranges, the crew counts that govern a Colorado job site, who can and cannot apply here, and how quickly units arrive.
Who holds the permit is the first question in Castle Rock, and it has a price consequence. The town's right-of-way route is open to property owners, business owners and government bodies, so a visiting event organizer may need a local party to apply, which takes time and changes how far ahead you should book.
Rental length is the second lever. Castle Rock's residential phases run for months, and a long commitment brings the daily figure down sharply.
Unit mix is third. A downtown street event wants flushing units and a station; a framing crew in Crystal Valley wants stalls and a sink.
Service frequency finishes the figure. Weekly is the standard, two visits suit bigger crews and multi-day events, and your account manager confirms the pattern before delivery.

Run your figures through the porta potty calculator, then let your account manager check them against who will be holding the town permit.
In Castle Rock the practical question is often who the unit is for, because a downtown event and a plains-side build need very different things. The Castle Rock choices are listed on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is one enclosed stall with a toilet, urinal, paper holder and sanitizer, and it covers most Castle Rock construction work.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty gives a wider cabin, a level threshold, grab bars and turning space, and any Castle Rock event open to the public needs one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and stronger odor control, which guests notice at a downtown street event or an outdoor wedding.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink keeps the basin, soap and mirror inside the stall, which is handy on a narrow downtown sidewalk footprint.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and vent off a roof panel, which earns its keep on an unserved acreage site east of town.
The Handwashing Station is a freestanding sink with clean water, soap and towels, expected on a staffed Castle Rock site and by food vendors.
The Restroom Trailer is a heated, plumbed building with separate stalls, right for a Castle Rock wedding or a long project with daily staff.
Tell your account manager who will use the units and where they will stand, and the shortlist writes itself.
On private Castle Rock property, serving your own project, a unit normally needs no permit of its own. Public ground is where this town is distinctive, and it is worth reading carefully.
There is a published route, and it is temporary by design. Castle Rock runs a revocable right-of-way encroachment permit, described in the town's own words as a mechanism by which the town may permit temporary encroachment into the public right-of-way. The same section says the chapter establishes no right or entitlement to an encroachment, which is at all times at the absolute discretion of the town. So it is a route, not a guarantee.
The applicant class is closed, and this is the commercially important part. The rule says a property owner, a business owner or a governmental entity may apply. An event organizer who is none of those three is outside it on its face, which means a visiting planner usually has to go through the owner or the business whose frontage is involved. Build that into your timeline.
State highway right-of-way is excluded. The permit covers town right-of-way and expressly excludes state highway right-of-way, so a placement on a state route through Castle Rock is a different conversation with a different agency.
The process is administrative with a council appeal. The application goes in writing to the town's Department of Development Services with a description of the temporary use and a site plan showing the extent of the encroachment. The town manager or a designee approves, denies or conditions it, and an unhappy applicant can appeal to the town council, which holds a public hearing and decides finally.
And without a permit the prohibition is flat. Castle Rock's public peace rules make it unlawful to obstruct in any manner any sidewalk, public highway, street or alley in the town, or to place on any of them any item or article which may cause or tend to cause an obstruction. That is written broadly enough to reach a unit set down on a sidewalk.
Two sections in the code look relevant and are not. The section headed special event permits sits inside the town's noise rules and grants relief from noise limits, not placement rights. The special events provision in the business and licensing title is a sales measure: it defines a special event as a sales event at a single location lasting no more than seven days with three or more vendors, and the license it requires is about collecting and remitting tax. Neither section sets a sanitation requirement, so do not expect one.
The town's container rules carry nothing here, and the reason is the definition. Castle Rock does bar a refuse container of any type from any public right-of-way, street, alley or easement, and from the front yard setback, with a short exception for set-out on collection day. But the chapter defines a refuse container as a dumpster, garbage can, waste container or similar container used to deposit refuse. A portable restroom is not one of those, so nothing from that chapter is carried across in either direction.
The state layer routes the unit itself to Douglas County. The state's on-site wastewater rule excludes chemical toilet residuals from septage by name, so a Castle Rock unit falls outside the state septage scheme. The same regulation allows the local public health agency to permit a portable chemical toilet without obliging it to, and keeps one out of a permanently occupied Castle Rock building except during construction or an emergency. Castle Rock sits wholly in Douglas County, so the Douglas County health department is the agency that answers it for every address in town.
Your account manager will work out who needs to be the applicant before you commit to a date.
Castle Rock sits high on the Divide between Denver and Colorado Springs, with wind off the rock, hard winters and a lot of ground that slopes.
Keep the unit on private ground where you can, on firm level footing, with a straight approach for the service vehicle. On a sloping Castle Rock lot, cut a level pad rather than propping the unit on blocks. Stay off the sidewalk and street unless the town has issued the encroachment permit, back from drainage channels, and away from food service. Anchor it on exposed high ground.
Weekly service is the baseline. Larger crews, summer heat and multi-day downtown events justify a second visit. A Castle Rock visit drains the tank, scrubs the bowl and floor, wipes the interior down and refills paper and sanitizer.
Castle Rock collection is arranged through a permitted local partner, and the load travels in a sealed tank to a permitted treatment works. Where a permit for the unit itself is raised, that goes to Douglas County, and your account manager will help you frame the question.

Most Castle Rock orders can be standing inside twenty four to forty eight hours, and three to five days secures a specific mix. The real scheduling risk is the applicant question on public ground, because sorting out who may apply takes longer than any permit review.
Five habits that keep a Castle Rock delivery clean:
Prime Dumpster serves Castle Rock and the Douglas County communities around it, including Parker, Castle Pines, Lone Tree, Larkspur, Franktown, Sedalia and Highlands Ranch, along with the Interstate 25 and Founders Parkway corridors. Those runs are short enough that an added service visit stays practical even on a busy event weekend.
Castle Rock figures are $199–$349 for a standard unit, $200–$300 accessible, $300–$400 for deluxe flushing and sink models, $500–$600 solar, $150–$250 for a station and from $1,500 for a trailer. A Castle Rock right-of-way placement also carries a town fee, which your account manager will help you confirm with the town directly.
Castle Rock publishes no ratio, so plan one unit per fifty guests across about four hours, adding fifteen to twenty percent where alcohol is served, plus an accessible unit. Where the event uses town right-of-way, the applicant class matters as much as the count does.
Colorado operates no plan of its own, so the federal rule reaches a Castle Rock site straight through. Twenty Castle Rock workers or fewer need one facility, past twenty it is a toilet seat and urinal for each forty, and past two hundred one of each for each fifty. The same rule also requires at least one facility under temporary field conditions, which fits an early Castle Rock subdivision phase.
Weekly as standard, and twice weekly for larger Castle Rock crews, hot weather or multi-day events. A Castle Rock visit drains the tank, scrubs the bowl and floor, wipes the interior down and refills paper and sanitizer. Your account manager sets the frequency in the quote rather than leaving it open.
On your own Castle Rock property, serving your own work, usually not. A sidewalk or street placement needs the town's revocable right-of-way encroachment permit, and only a property owner, a business owner or a governmental entity may apply for one. State highway frontage is outside that permit.
A Castle Rock standard unit is one narrow stall containing a toilet, a urinal and sanitizer. The accessible Castle Rock model is a wider cabin with a level threshold, grab bars and wheelchair turning room. The federal design standards put five percent of a Castle Rock cluster in the accessible class, each unit marked with the symbol.
A Castle Rock weekend is inside the short window our ranges assume, which means $199–$349 for a standard unit, $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing model and $150–$250 for a station. For a weekend event on Castle Rock public ground, the applicant question decides your lead time.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will work out who needs to apply for any public ground, size the order against the federal crew table, and quote on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
