Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals across the whole of Aurora, Colorado, Colorado's third largest city, where demand runs from large-scale residential construction on the eastern edge out to commercial and medical campus work near Anschutz, utility and roadway projects, and a long calendar of festivals, tournaments and community events on city ground.
Aurora is also the most complicated city in the metro for anyone answering a sanitation question, because it sits in three counties at once. Below are the ranges, the crew counts that govern a Colorado job site, what the city's own permit pages actually allow, and how quickly units arrive.
Scale is what moves an Aurora quote first. This is a city where a single subdivision phase can run a hundred trades, and the unit count at that size is set by the federal crew table rather than by preference.
Distance across the city comes second, and it is a bigger factor here than almost anywhere. Aurora stretches a long way east, so a site near the county line costs more to reach and to service than one inside Interstate 225.
Rental length is third. Long civil and utility projects price very differently per day from a weekend tournament.
Service frequency closes it out. Weekly is the standard pattern, large Aurora crews and multi-day events justify two visits, and your account manager fixes that before delivery is scheduled.

Run the figures through the porta potty calculator and have your account manager confirm them against the size of your Aurora crew.
On a city this size the question is usually how to mix models across a long site rather than which single unit to take. The Aurora choices are all on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is one enclosed stall with a toilet, urinal, paper holder and sanitizer, and it makes up the bulk of any Aurora construction order.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a wider cabin, a level threshold, grab bars and wheelchair turning space, and every public Aurora event needs at least one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and stronger odor control, the right pick for a ticketed festival or a company day.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries the basin, soap and mirror inside the stall, which is useful when a long Aurora site needs washing at several points.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and vent from a roof panel, worth having out on the eastern plains edge where there is no power.
The Handwashing Station is the freestanding sink with clean water, soap and towels, expected on a staffed site and required by food vendors.
The Restroom Trailer arrives as a heated, plumbed building with separate stalls, suited to an Aurora wedding or a long project with daily staff.
Give your account manager the site length and the crew size and the mix follows from both.
On private Aurora property, serving your own project, a unit normally needs no permit of its own. Public ground is where this city needs care, and the honest answer is that the published route does not obviously cover a portable restroom.
Aurora's temporary use permit has three limbs. The city's own permitting pages set them out. The first covers a temporary use somewhere in the city where that use is not permitted in the underlying zone, capped at thirty days per year. The second covers private use of a public right-of-way. The third covers use of the public roadway for a civic function, a parade or an organized non-vehicular event such as a walkathon, capped at two days per year.
Read the second limb closely, because it is a closed list. The city describes it as private use of a public right-of-way, excluding medians, by placement of a sign, advertisement, or merchandise within the right-of-way, not to exceed six permits per calendar year, each application not to exceed nine consecutive days, and so long as the use is not an obstruction or hazard. The city also states there is no fee for that permit. A portable restroom is not a sign, an advertisement or merchandise, so on the face of that list it is not what the limb is for.
What that means in practice. Treat an Aurora right-of-way placement as something to clear with the city in advance rather than something the published permit already covers. An administrative route that is not published may well exist, and a street or sidewalk placement should never be promised to a customer before the city has confirmed it. The city's Permit Center takes those questions on 303-739-7420.
Time limits are extendable, but only at the city's discretion. Aurora states that the time periods for these permits may be extended at the sole discretion of the City Manager or a designee. That is worth knowing on a project that will overrun.
Insurance is a real condition. An applicant must supply a certificate of insurance, not a policy declarations page, naming the City of Aurora Risk Management Division at 15151 East Alameda Parkway as certificate holder and the city as an additional insured, and the certificate must have been issued within thirty days of the event. Allow time for your broker.
Three counties, three possible answers. Colorado's on-site wastewater regulation says in terms that septage does not include chemical toilet residuals, and the same regulation makes a portable chemical toilet permit something the local public health agency may grant rather than must, and keeps one out of a permanently occupied Aurora building except during construction or an emergency. Because Aurora lies in Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties, which agency answers that depends on where in the city your site is. Adams County covers the northern part, Arapahoe County Public Health the central and largest share, and the Douglas County health department the southern tip. A rule that reaches one Aurora address may not reach another.
Your account manager will work out which county your site falls in before anyone makes a promise about a permit.
Aurora is big, flat and open to the wind, and the eastern half has long stretches with no shelter at all, so anchoring and access dominate placement here.
Put the unit on firm, level ground with a straight approach for the service vehicle. On an exposed eastern Aurora site, stake or ballast it rather than relying on its own weight. Keep clear of the right-of-way unless the city has confirmed that placement, back from drainage inlets, away from food service, and on a staffed site set the sink beside the stall. On a long linear project, spread units so no one walks more than a few minutes.
Weekly service is the baseline. Crews over twenty, summer heat and multi-day events usually justify two visits a week. Each visit draws the tank down, scrubs the bowl and floor, wipes the surfaces and restocks paper and sanitizer.
For Aurora we arrange collection through a permitted local partner, and the load moves in a sealed tank to a permitted treatment works. Where a permit for the unit itself is in question, that goes to whichever of the three county agencies covers your Aurora address, and your account manager will identify it.

Most Aurora orders can be standing inside twenty four to forty eight hours, and three to five days secures a specific mix. On a city this large the practical limit is the run out to the eastern edge, and on public ground it is the city's confirmation.
Five habits that keep an Aurora delivery clean:
Prime Dumpster covers Aurora end to end, from the older neighborhoods inside Interstate 225 out through Southlands and the newer eastern subdivisions, and reaches the communities beside it including Centennial, Englewood, Commerce City, Parker, Brighton and eastern Denver. Interstate 70, Interstate 225 and E-470 keep those runs practical even at the city's full width.
Aurora figures start at $199–$349 for a standard unit and $200–$300 for an accessible one, with deluxe flushing and sink models at $300–$400, solar at $500–$600, stations at $150–$250 and trailers from $1,500. Across a city as large as Aurora the delivery run and the number of service stops matter, so your account manager prices the route too.
Aurora publishes no ratio, so plan one unit per fifty guests over about four hours, adding fifteen to twenty percent where alcohol is served, plus an accessible unit for anything the public attends. Your account manager will refine that against your layout and the length of the event.
Nothing sits between an Aurora site and the federal rule, because Colorado runs no plan. Twenty Aurora workers or fewer need one facility, then a toilet seat and urinal arrive for each forty above twenty, and for each fifty above two hundred. Large Aurora sites hit that third tier, which tightens the ratio, and washing facilities are required as well.
Weekly as standard, twice weekly for big Aurora crews, hot weather or multi-day events. On each Aurora stop the tank comes down, the bowl and floor are scrubbed, surfaces are wiped and supplies go back in. On a long site, your account manager schedules the stops so no unit is left to the end of the round.
On your own Aurora property, serving your own work, usually not. A placement in the public right-of-way is the difficult case, because the city's published temporary use permit for that ground lists signs, advertisements and merchandise. Clear it with the Permit Center first and let your account manager help you ask.
The standard unit most Aurora orders use is a single narrow stall with a toilet, a urinal and sanitizer. The accessible Aurora model gives a wider cabin, a level threshold, grab bars and turning room for a wheelchair. Across an Aurora site, five percent of any cluster of portable units has to be accessible under the federal design standards, symbol shown.
A weekend in Aurora is well inside the short window our ranges assume, so a standard unit is $199–$349, a deluxe flushing model $300–$400 and a station $150–$250. For a weekend event on Aurora city ground, settle the permit question before you book the units.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will work out which county your site sits in, size the order against the federal crew table, and quote on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
