Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Lake Zurich
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals throughout Lake Zurich, Illinois, the Lake County village wrapped around its own lake at the Route 22 and Rand Road crossing. Construction demand runs to custom home work and teardowns on the wooded lots, sewer and storm work in the older sections, industrial park tenant jobs, and the roofing and driveway trades. Event demand is lake and downtown shaped: shoreline gatherings, village street dates, parades and fundraising runs across the warmer half of the year.
One local feature changes how a job is scheduled here, and it is not a sanitation rule. Lake Zurich has handed its building inspections to Lake County under an intergovernmental agreement, so the inspector on your site works for the county rather than the village, and the appointment rules are the county's. The practical consequences are set out below.
The permit clock is the first thing to price around on a Lake Zurich build, because it is longer than most people expect. The Village publishes its own review times, and new construction or a new addition is quoted at twenty-five business days while interior work is fifteen and a roof or siding job is seven to fifteen. A unit ordered to match a start date that slips costs money for nothing, so order against the approved date rather than the hoped-for one.
Rental length is the next lever. Two or three days sits inside the ranges above and a long custom-home job is quoted monthly with the service visits named in the figure.
Unit choice follows the audience. A lakeside event wants flushing or sink models with an accessible unit in each cluster; a wooded teardown lot is better served by a standard unit and a separate handwashing station.
Access is the last and Illinois makes it a duty, requiring that service trucks be able to reach the units they serve. On a narrow wooded Lake Zurich lot with a steep or curving drive that is the real constraint. Your account manager will build all four into one quote.

Request a Quote NowIllinois runs a workplace safety plan of its own, but it covers government employees, so a private Lake Zurich job site is counted under the national rule.
Our porta potty calculator gives a first figure, and your account manager will test it against the busiest hour you expect.
Decide by audience, then by access. The range sits on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty covers most Lake Zurich job sites: one enclosed stall with toilet, urinal, paper holder and sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty enters level, runs wider and carries grab bars with turning space. It belongs in any cluster the Lake Zurich public will use.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes and keeps odor down, which is the model for a lakeside wedding or a summer street date.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts basin, soap and mirror inside the stall, which keeps a line short when a crowd arrives together.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from a roof panel, which suits a shoreline, trail or basin job with no temporary power.
The Handwashing Station is a standalone basin supplied with clean water, soap and single-use towels. It satisfies the federal washing duty and can replace topping up sanitizer under the Illinois alternative.
The Restroom Trailer arrives as a heated building with separate plumbed stalls, which suits a long winter contract or a guest-facing date on the lake.
Send your account manager the dates, the crowd and the drive width and the mix comes back costed.
On your own Lake Zurich ground, no Village permit for a unit was found published. The Village's own site is readable and carries nothing on the subject, and its code is not carried by any publisher our research can reach, so no local rule is asserted here in either direction.
The county inspects, and that changes your schedule. The Village states on its own permits and inspections page that through an intergovernmental agreement, Lake County's Planning, Building and Development Department conducts inspections for the Village. Appointments have to be made forty-eight hours in advance, booked by one in the afternoon two days ahead, and the page says plainly that same-day inspections cannot be accommodated. A cancellation has to be called in at least thirty minutes before the window. Building and Zoning takes those calls on 847-540-1696.
Contractors have to be registered with the Village. The same page states that all contractors doing work in the Village must be registered, with a valid registration number and current information, and that full contractor details go on the permit application. That is worth checking before anyone is booked to be on site.
Review times are published, and they are the real lead time. New construction or a new addition is twenty-five business days, interior construction fifteen, exterior residential projects and roofing or siding seven to fifteen, and a repeat plan review seven to fifteen. The Village's own advice is to apply early.
No special event route is published. Across the whole of the Village's own site there is no special event, parade or block party permit page, so there is no published application, no published lead time and no published sanitation condition to work to. That is an absence of published material rather than a confirmed exemption. For anything in a street, on a sidewalk, in a park or on village property, the Village itself is the only reliable answer, and a street placement should be treated as unconfirmed until the Village confirms it.
Illinois puts the adequacy of the count on the customer. State rule requires the employer, property owner or event coordinator to add units or adjust the service where the number proves insufficient, and names the property owner's failure to provide enough as the violation. It also licenses the business that rents, services and cleans a unit and certifies the technician doing the work. Your account manager will confirm that standing in writing with your order.
Set units on firm, level ground with a straight approach the service truck can take without reversing blind. On a wooded Lake Zurich lot that often means a widened spot at the top of the drive rather than down beside the foundation. At a lakeside event it means a place still reachable once the fencing and vendor row are in. Keep fifteen feet or more between a unit and any food service or drinking water, and keep well clear of inlets draining toward the lake.
Illinois sets the content of each visit: a leak-proof tank truck with valved and capped openings, a full interior sanitize after each pumping covering seat, urinal, shelves, walls, floor, door and handle, two physically separated sets of cleaning equipment unless a power washer is used, and a damaged unit repaired or withdrawn rather than left standing. Collected waste is delivered to a permitted treatment works and the paperwork is kept for you.
A weekly visit is the standard schedule on a steady crew, and twice weekly suits a large site, a hot Illinois stretch or any event where food is served. From November the same call adds freeze protection and a check that the cleared approach still works. Settle the interval and the pull date with your account manager before delivery.

Most Lake Zurich orders place inside twenty-four to forty-eight hours, which is far quicker than the Village's own permit review, so the building timetable rather than ours is what usually sets a start date. Allow three to five days for a specific model and book summer weekends well ahead.
Five habits that keep a Lake Zurich delivery on schedule:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty rentals across Lake Zurich and the communities around it, including Hawthorn Woods, Deer Park, Kildeer, North Barrington, Lake Barrington and Ela Township. Six of our Illinois pages sit within ten road miles and are linked below. Mundelein is shown at ten miles to match the figure already published on its own page, which is a little shorter than our own measurement of that route.
Figure $199–$349 for a standard unit and $200–$300 for an accessible model. Deluxe flushing and deluxe with sink are $300–$400 each, solar units $500–$600, and a handwashing station $150–$250. Restroom trailers open at $1,500. On a long custom-home build, ask about the monthly rate instead.
Lake Zurich publishes no ratio and no event permit route, so the number comes from the crowd: one unit for every fifty guests across roughly four hours, with fifteen to twenty percent added once alcohol is served. Share your peak hour with your account manager and the figure follows.
National rules set it, because the Illinois plan covers government employees and not private sites. A crew of twenty or fewer needs one facility. Above that it is one toilet seat and one urinal per forty workers, and one per fifty above two hundred, with a washing facility required alongside.
A weekly visit is the standard schedule, going to twice weekly on a large site, in hot weather, or where food is served. Illinois requires every interior surface to be sanitized at each pumping with sanitizer replaced the same visit, and a Lake Zurich winter order adds freeze protection.
None was found published for a unit on your own Lake Zurich ground, and we are not claiming none exists. Private ground is the straightforward case. For a street, sidewalk, park or village property placement there is no published route at all, so ask the Village before you commit to a layout.
A standard unit is a single narrow stall holding a toilet, a urinal and sanitizer. The accessible model runs broader, has nothing to step over at the door, and carries grab bars around wheelchair turning room. Any Lake Zurich event open to the public should include one in every cluster.
A weekend is the base case behind every range above, so it comes to $199–$349 for a standard unit, $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing model and $150–$250 for a station. Where delivery and collection can share a single run, your account manager will tell you.
Send us the site address, the approved start date, the dates you need cover for and your zip code. We will apply the national job site count, size any event figure with you, and set out the Illinois licensing and the service schedule in writing before anything arrives.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
