Home Areas We Service New York Porta Potty Rental Saratoga Springs, New York 12866

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Saratoga Springs, New York, and the Saratoga County towns that surround it. Downtown construction and hotel work, housing built along the Northway, summer race meet crowds, concerts at the performing arts center, road races, farm weddings, and downtown street events all keep portable toilets in service here.
What you pay reflects the units you choose, how many go out, how long you hold them, and how often they are serviced. Below are the ranges, guidance on unit counts, the City permit timeline, and what it takes to get delivery on schedule.
Every range above is built on a standard three-day rental, the usual weekend window. A construction order is quoted instead in four-week cycles with a cleaning visit inside each one, which fits a build running from spring through fall.
Season is the loudest factor in this city. From late June through Labor Day, the track meet, concert nights, and wedding weekends land on top of each other, and the whole regional fleet gets tight. An order placed in February for an August Saturday costs less trouble than one placed in July.
Access shapes the rest. A downtown job behind Broadway with metered parking and narrow service lanes takes more time than an open lot in Wilton or Malta. A barn wedding at the end of a dirt lane or a trail race staging area in the woods adds time on every visit.
Then the extras. Accessible units, a sink beside the food tents, a restroom trailer for a reception, and a second weekly stop during race season all move the total. Your account manager will price each one before you commit.

Request a Quote NowCount the crowd and the clock. Our planning numbers:
Saratoga Springs writes accessibility into the event rules rather than leaving it to good intentions. The City's requirements cover parking, restrooms, clear paths of travel, transportation, and accessible vendors and booths, and if any part of your site is not accessible you have to hand attendees a map showing where the accessible restrooms are. Plan the accessible units into the layout, not around the edges.
New York also treats very large gatherings separately. An event expected to draw 5,000 people or more needs a state health permit before the City will even take the application, and the state asks for that at least 30 days out.
Our porta potty calculator gives you a first number, and your account manager can refine it once the layout is set.

Choose by who uses the unit and for how long. Every model is laid out on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty is the everyday unit: a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer. It suits framing crews, street work, and small backyard gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, with a level entry, a broad door, grab bars, and turning space for a wheelchair. Order one for any event open to the public.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and stronger odor control, the usual choice for weddings and corporate hospitality.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap, and mirror inside, which keeps a reception line moving on a cold evening.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its own light and fan, so it works at a trail race start, a hayfield wedding, or a rural building site with no hookup.
The Handwashing Station is a standalone sink with clean water, soap, and towels. Place one at every food area.
The Restroom Trailer offers multiple stalls, running water, and climate control. For a September wedding or a sponsor area at a big event, it changes how the day feels.
Not sure how to mix them? Tell your account manager about the venue and the crowd, and they will build the order.
A unit on private property, such as a driveway, a fenced job site, or a farm, needs no City permit in Saratoga Springs.
Events on public property: Any festival, parade, race, fundraiser, or other public event held on public property needs a special event permit, filed with the City Clerk's Office at 474 Broadway. Timing is strict. Parades and walk, run, or bike events go in at least 90 days ahead so the City and the state transportation department can both review them, and everything else goes in at least 60 days ahead. Applications that arrive late are not accepted. The City also approves only one event per calendar day that needs City resources, so early filing protects your date as well as your permit.
Before you advertise: Get the event approved first. The City is explicit that approval must come before promoting, marketing, or advertising an event, and the permit is not issued until every required certificate and permission is in the file.
Street closures: Closing a residential street takes City and County approval, and state approval where a state road is involved. Closing more than one block means submitting a detailed traffic control plan, and you have to notify affected residents at least a week before the day.
State roads: Work on any part of the state highway system or its right-of-way needs a state highway work permit, applied for through the state's online permitting system.
Food vendors: Every vendor selling or giving away food needs a state health permit, and copies go to both the event organizer and the City. Toilets serving a temporary food stand need warm running water, soap, and paper towels for the workers.
Unsure who controls your spot? Your account manager can find the right office before the truck is loaded.

Good placement saves time on every visit.
Set units on firm, level ground. Spring thaw turns a field soft here, and a unit on soggy ground can lean, so choose a surface that drains and stays solid. Give the truck a clear approach and watch for low limbs on older tree-lined streets downtown.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service and well away from wells, creeks, and storm drains. On a job site, put them within about 200 feet of the work.
A standard rental includes one service visit a week: pump, clean, restock. During track season or on an event weekend with alcohol, a second stop is often the difference between a unit people will use and one they avoid. Tell us your peak days and we will schedule around them.
New York controls the hauling end closely. The state's waste transporter permit specifically covers portable toilet waste, the hauler may deliver only to facilities authorized to accept it, and the permit number has to be displayed on both sides and the rear of the truck. Ordinary sewage from homes and businesses takes a different path, through Saratoga County Sewer District No. 1, which runs the area's treatment plant and collection system from Mechanicville and is staffed around the clock. Your account manager can set your service days and help you pick the spot.

Most orders here go out within 24 to 48 hours, and three to five days of notice is comfortable for a job site. Summer is a different story. Race meet weekends, concert nights, and wedding season book the fleet out, so reserve those dates months ahead. If your event needs a City permit, the application timeline of 60 or 90 days usually sets your booking date anyway.
Five habits that keep delivery smooth:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout Saratoga Springs and the surrounding Saratoga County communities, including Wilton, Malta, Ballston Spa, Greenfield, Milton, Gansevoort, Stillwater, Schuylerville, Round Lake, and Clifton Park. Whether the job is a downtown renovation, a farm wedding out toward the Kayaderosseras, or a festival on Broadway, we plan delivery, service, and pickup around your dates.

Standard units average $199–$349 each and accessible units $200–$300. Deluxe flushing and sink units run $300–$400, solar units $500–$600, handwashing stations $150–$250, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Unit count, rental length, and service frequency set your total. Your account manager gives you a free quote.
Use 1 unit per 50 guests over about four hours, then add 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served. A 175-guest wedding usually needs four units or a restroom trailer. Add a handwashing station near food, and include accessible units in the layout for any public event.
Private crews in New York follow the federal count: 1 toilet for a crew of 20 or fewer, then 1 toilet and 1 urinal for every 40 workers. On a spread-out site or a multi-floor downtown build, many contractors add a unit so nobody loses fifteen minutes crossing the job.
Weekly service is standard: pump the tank, clean the interior, restock paper and sanitizer. Busy summer events and large crews usually call for a second visit. During track season we can schedule extra stops, and your account manager will set the rhythm before the first unit is delivered.
Usually not. A unit on your own driveway, yard, or fenced job site in Saratoga Springs needs no City permit. Permission is required once the unit sits on a City street, a sidewalk, public property, or forms part of a permitted event. Your account manager can confirm before delivery day.
A standard unit is compact and serves one person at a time. An accessible unit is larger, with a level entry, a wide door, grab bars, and turning space for a wheelchair. Saratoga Springs expects accessible restrooms at permitted events. Sites used only by a construction crew are exempt from that rule.
Weekend bookings are priced across three days, so a one-day event costs about what a Friday through Sunday run costs. Standard units average $199–$349 and deluxe flushing units $300–$400. Delivery, pickup, and any added service stop are separate. Your account manager will confirm the weekend figure.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will size the order, set a service schedule that matches your busiest days, and give you a clear number on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
