Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Cleveland Heights
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals throughout Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and the eastern suburbs beside it. Century-home renovations and roof tear-offs, apartment and storefront rehabs along Lee Road and Coventry, summer concerts at Cain Park, street festivals, school and church gatherings, and road work on the main avenues all put portable toilets to work here. Construction projects and public events are what bring most customers to us.
What you pay depends on the type of unit, how many you order, how long the rental runs, and how often it is serviced. Below you'll find price ranges, how many units to plan on, the City's 60-day event rule, County event sanitation requirements, and how quickly delivery can be scheduled.
Those are standard three-day rental ranges. One Saturday and a long weekend generally come out the same, so there's no benefit in shortening your booking.
How long you keep the units matters most. Renovation work here often runs for months, and a four-week billing cycle costs far less per day than booking and returning units repeatedly.
Service visits are the second factor. Each one empties and cleans the unit and restocks paper and sanitizer. A larger crew or a festival crowd needs more than one stop a week.
Then there is this city's own quirk: narrow driveways, mature trees, and tight tree lawns on streets laid out a century ago. A service truck needs room to pull in and swing. Picking a spot a driver can actually reach saves you missed visits later.

If you are serving food, the County settles part of the question for you. Cuyahoga County's temporary event rules say portable toilet facilities, hand sinks, and refuse disposal are required, not optional. Work out a starting number with our porta potty calculator, and your account manager will finalize the mix.
Decide by who uses the unit and for how long. See every option together on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty suits renovation jobs, yard projects, and small gatherings. Inside are a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and hand sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty steps in at ground level and offers a wide door, grab bars, and turning space for a wheelchair. Plan one for any event open to the public.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes, and guests at a garden wedding or a Cain Park reception will notice the difference.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink adds a sink, soap, and a mirror inside the unit. Family events and food areas benefit most.
The Solar Porta Potty lights and vents itself from a small panel, useful for park projects and evening events with no outlet nearby.
The Handwashing Station holds clean water, soap, and towels. The County expects hand sinks at an event with food, and this is how you meet that.
The Restroom Trailer offers several stalls, running water, and heating or cooling, which earns its keep through a Lake Erie winter or a humid July.
Still deciding? Walk your account manager through your guests or your crew and they'll build the order.
A unit on private property, a driveway, a backyard, or a fenced work area, does not need a City permit here. Public land and public events are what trigger paperwork.
Events on City property or in the right of way: The City requires its special event application, with every supporting document, at least 60 days before the date. That package includes a site plan or map showing the roads you want closed, which is exactly where your units should appear. The City can reject anything incomplete, and nothing counts as filed until all of it arrives.
Who to call: Community Relations issues the permit for a special event such as a run and answers at 216-291-2323. Paperwork goes to the Mayor's Action Center at 40 Severance Circle, and the City's main line is 216-291-4444.
Block parties: These use a separate online request rather than the special event form, so start there if your street is closing for an afternoon.
Noise: Music and other event sound cannot start before 7 in the morning or carry past 10 at night, any day of the week. Worth knowing when you plan an overnight setup or an early teardown.
Food vendors: Cuyahoga County wants the temporary food license application at least ten days before the event, with a floor plan, equipment list, and menu. The fee is $64.00 a day, or $32.00 for a non-profit. The County also requires that all wastewater go to the sanitary sewer rather than onto the ground.
Your account manager can help you reach the right office before the units are loaded.
Choosing the spot well is most of the work.
Put units on firm, level ground. Many lots here slope toward the street, so find a flat patch or lay plywood to keep the unit sitting true. Leave the service truck a clear approach, and watch for low branches, since the tree canopy on these streets is older than the houses.
Keep units at least 15 feet from any food service and away from storm inlets and the Doan Brook corridor. On a job site, set them within about 200 feet of the work so nobody loses time crossing the property.
Winter plans matter on the heights. Lake effect snow piles up fast, and a unit walled in by a plow bank is a missed service visit. Keep the path shoveled and tell your account manager if your drive gets tight after a storm.
A weekly service visit is the normal rhythm. Ohio law is specific about who may do the work: a registered septage hauler has to empty the unit before it reaches capacity, that registration is renewed with the county board of health each year, and every truck carries its own board of health permit. The units themselves have to be watertight and reachable for pumping. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District treats wastewater for Cleveland Heights and the rest of the region at its three plants. Your account manager can confirm your service schedule and the registered route your waste follows.

Most Cleveland Heights orders arrive within 24 to 48 hours. Give us three to five days and we can reserve the exact units you want. For a Cain Park weekend, a graduation party, or a summer street festival, book several weeks out, because the east side's season is busy and short.
Five habits that make delivery easy:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Cleveland Heights and the neighboring east side communities, including University Heights, Shaker Heights, South Euclid, East Cleveland, Beachwood, Lyndhurst, Richmond Heights, and the eastern Cleveland neighborhoods. Whether your site is a century home on a side street, a storefront rebuild on a main avenue, or an event in a city park, we plan delivery, service, and pickup around your schedule.
A standard unit in Cleveland Heights averages $199–$349, and an ADA-compliant unit averages $200–$300. Deluxe units run $300–$400, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. The number of units, how long you keep them, and how often they are serviced all shift the price. Your account manager confirms it in your free quote.
Figure 1 unit for every 50 guests at an event of about four hours. Add 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served, and more for all-day events or hot weather. Bring at least one accessible unit if the public is invited, and add a handwashing station beside any food vendor.
Federal rules apply on private job sites in Ohio. One facility covers a crew of 20 or fewer. Beyond that it is 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal for every 40 workers, and 1 per 50 past 200. Your account manager can match the order to your crew size.
Weekly is standard. The driver empties the tank, scrubs and sanitizes the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Ohio rules require the unit to be emptied before it reaches capacity, so heavy use often means twice a week. Your account manager will set the right pace.
Generally no. A unit in your own driveway or yard needs no City permit in Cleveland Heights. Permission is needed once the unit sits on City property or in a City right of way, and that goes through the special event application 60 days ahead. Your account manager can direct you.
A standard unit works for one person stepping up into it. An ADA unit sits at ground level with a wide door, grab bars, and room inside to turn a wheelchair. Public events need accessible units in each group. Job sites used only by a crew are treated differently.
A standard unit averages $199–$349, and that range reflects a standard three-day rental. A single-day event normally costs what the full weekend costs, so take all three days. Deluxe units and restroom trailers are higher. Your account manager confirms your weekend price and delivery window.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll pick the units, set a service rhythm that fits your dates, and give you a straight price on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
