Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in Hamilton
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Hamilton, Ohio, and the Butler County communities along the Great Miami River. Units support construction and industrial work on the city's older manufacturing sites, new housing and subdivision builds on the edges of town, roofing and siding crews, river and park improvement projects, and outdoor events of every size, from a street festival downtown to a block party to a ball tournament at a city field.
What you pay depends on the unit you choose, how many go out, how long they stay, and how often a truck comes back. Below you will find our ranges, the crew numbers that apply on an Ohio job site, the toilet plan Hamilton wants before it grants an event permit, and how fast delivery can be scheduled.
Those ranges rest on a three-day rental, which is the normal shape of a Hamilton weekend order. A single Saturday and a Friday through Sunday window usually come out at the same number, so take the wider one.
Site work prices on a longer cycle. A subdivision build, an industrial fit-out, or a park project is quoted in four-week blocks with weekly service rolled in, and the weekly figure softens after the first block.
There is a Hamilton-specific cost to watch. A standard city event permit covers only three consecutive days, so a longer festival needs a separate permit for each three-day stretch unless it is a recurring event. That timetable changes when units arrive and leave, and so changes delivery and pickup.
Access and the Ohio seasons finish it off. A unit at the back of a soft lot, behind a locked gate, or down a narrow alley costs the driver time. Summer humidity moves plenty of customers to twice-weekly service, and a job running into January needs the cold-weather setup.

Start with our porta potty calculator, then let your account manager settle the number against your crew, your guest list, and the service schedule you want.
Work back from who uses the unit and for how many days. Everything is listed on the porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty covers most Hamilton sites: a single private stall with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is wider, enters level with no step, and holds grab bars with turning space for a wheelchair. Public events need one in each cluster.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty brings a flushing bowl and much better odor control, which guests notice at a wedding or a reception.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries a sink, soap, and a mirror inside the stall, so nobody has to walk the site to wash up.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from a roof panel, which answers a graded lot with no power and an evening event.
The Handwashing Station stands alone with clean water, soap, and paper towels. One belongs beside any food service and one on any site where the crew breaks for lunch.
The Restroom Trailer tows in with several private stalls, running water, and climate control. Weddings, corporate days, and long-running sites are where it earns its place.
Not settled yet? Give your account manager the headcount and the dates and they will put the mix together.
On private ground, no. Hamilton issues no permit for a portable toilet standing on your own lot, in a driveway, or inside a fenced job site. Public ground and events are where the city rules bite, and Hamilton's event rules are more demanding than most.
Private property and job sites: keep the unit inside your property line and clear of the public sidewalk. If the project already carries a building permit, the unit is part of the site setup.
Streets and alleys: the City's street obstruction rules say plainly that no person may place any obstruction in or upon a street without proper authority, and a violation is a minor misdemeanor that escalates to a fourth or third degree misdemeanor if you have prior traffic offenses within a year. So a unit in a Hamilton street or alley needs the City's authority first. City permits are filed through Hamilton's online customer portal, reachable from the City's permit pages.
Events, and the part that affects your order directly: Hamilton makes it unlawful to hold any event, parade, demonstration, block party, rally, recreational assembly, or special event without a special event permit. The trigger is low. Ten or more people gathering in a street, a park, or any public place the City controls needs one, and so does 75 or more people gathering on private property.
The application goes to the Chief of Police on the City Manager's form, not less than 21 days and not more than 60 days before the date for a parade, demonstration, or rally. A recurring event filed once for the whole year goes in at least 60 and no more than 180 days before the first date. The City Manager can waive the minimum where it creates no safety problem.
Here is the item that matters most to your order. The application has to include a proposed sanitation plan that complies with the Health Department's rules, covering trash removal and clean-up as a minimum, and where it applies or the Health Department asks for it, that plan must also include a sanitary water supply plan, a toilet facilities plan, and a food dispensing plan. Proper sanitation, naming toilet facilities specifically, is then a condition the City has to find satisfied before it issues the permit. That means your unit count, your locations, and your service schedule need to be settled before the paperwork goes in, not afterwards.
Two more things to budget for: a permit covers no more than three consecutive days, so a longer run needs a separate permit for each three-day stretch, and the applicant has to post a certificate of insurance approved by the Director of Law, guaranteeing a million dollars of liability with the City named as an additional insured. The City Manager sets the permit fees, but no figure is posted today, so ask when you file.
What Hamilton does not give you: a number. The City demands a toilet facilities plan but publishes no attendee ratio. Your account manager will build you a count you can put on the application and defend.
Placement decides how well a unit holds up and how quickly the service visit goes.
Set units on firm, level ground. A unit on a slope leans, and a unit on soft fill after a wet Ohio spring can settle. Plywood or a mat under the feet solves both.
Leave the truck a clear run. We need width and overhead room to set and lift a unit, so keep the route clear and pass on any gate code before the delivery day.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service and well back from the river, creeks, and storm inlets. On a job site, place them within about 200 feet of the work. At an event, split the units into clusters, each with an accessible model, on flat footing.
Servicing is where Ohio writes its own rule, and it is worth understanding. State rules require a portable toilet to be built watertight and structurally sound, to prevent spillage in transport, and to give access for removal of the contents. More importantly for you, the state puts the duty on the unit's owner to have a registered septage hauler empty it before capacity is exceeded. In plain terms, Ohio expects portable toilets to be serviced by a properly registered operation, which is a reason to check who is actually emptying your units rather than just who dropped them off. The details are in the state portable toilet rule. Weekly service is our standard, with more frequent visits available; your account manager will confirm the schedule and the disposal point before the first delivery.

Most Hamilton orders can be on site within 24 to 48 hours. Give us three to five days and we can put the exact units you want on the truck. For a festival weekend, a holiday, or a wedding, allow several weeks, because the whole Cincinnati and Butler County area wants the same dates.
These five habits keep a delivery smooth:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery across Hamilton and the surrounding Butler, Hamilton and Warren County communities, including Fairfield, Oxford, Forest Park, Middletown, Cincinnati, Lebanon, Trenton, Ross and New Miami. Whether your project sits in the older river wards, out along the Route 4 corridor, or on a new plat toward Liberty Township, we shape the delivery, service, and pickup around your dates.
Allow $199–$349 for a standard unit and $200–$300 for an accessible one. The deluxe flushing and sink models sit at $300–$400, solar units at $500–$600, and a restroom trailer starts at $1,500. The unit count, the rental length, and the service frequency are what shift the total. Your account manager quotes it free.
Work on one unit for every 50 people over about four hours, then lift that by 15 to 20 percent if alcohol is served. Food service needs a handwashing station beside it, and every cluster needs an accessible model. Hamilton publishes no ratio but does want a toilet plan, so settle the number early.
Ohio has no state table, so the federal rule applies. One toilet facility covers a crew of 20 or fewer; past 20 workers it is a toilet seat and a urinal for every 40, and past 200 workers one of each per 50. Short field work still needs a facility available.
Weekly is our baseline, and we can go more often. Each visit empties the tank, washes the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Ohio also requires the unit's owner to have a registered septage hauler empty it before it reaches capacity, so servicing is a legal duty, not just good practice.
No. Hamilton issues no permit for a portable toilet on private ground, including a driveway or a fenced job site. Keep it inside your property line and off the sidewalk. A unit placed in a street or an alley is different and needs the City's authority first.
The standard model is one narrow stall with a toilet, a urinal, and sanitizer. The accessible version is wider, enters level with no step, and carries grab bars with clear space for a wheelchair to turn. Any event open to the public should include one in every cluster of units.
Our ranges are built on three days, so a weekend is already the base case. Reckon on $199–$349 for a standard unit, $300–$400 for a deluxe flushing one, and $150–$250 for a handwashing station. Your account manager will lock in the drop slot and the pickup day.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will build the unit count your toilet facilities plan needs, set the service visits, and quote you on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
