Home Areas We Service Ohio Porta Potty Rental Cleveland, Ohio 44102

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Cleveland, Ohio, and the inner suburbs on both sides of the Cuyahoga. Construction runs year round here, from house rehabs and teardowns on the west side to road and bridge work, and the event calendar is packed from spring through fall with lakefront festivals, parish feast days, game-day lots, and block parties.
Four things decide your price: which units you choose, how many you need, the length of the rental, and how often a truck services them. Below you'll find real ranges, the counts to plan for, the City offices that handle permits, and what delivery really looks like through a Cleveland winter.
Each range reflects a standard three-day rental, the way weekend events get booked. A construction rental runs on a four-week cycle with a weekly cleaning visit built in, so make sure your account manager knows the real timeline.
Season is the loudest factor in this city. From May through September, festival weekends and outdoor weddings compete for the same units across Cuyahoga County. Winter is quieter but harder, since a unit on a job site through January needs cold-weather treatment and a plowed path for the truck.
Site conditions come next. Cleveland's older neighborhoods have narrow driveways, tree lawns, utility poles, and parked cars on both sides of the street. A unit behind a double on West 65th takes more care than one on an open commercial pad, and the time shows up in the quote.
Last is the mix. A six-person rehab crew needs one standard unit. A street festival needs standard units, accessible units, and handwashing stations at the food tents, and a hot weekend might need a midweek visit. Your account manager will itemize it so you can see where each dollar goes.

Request a Quote NowCount the people, the hours, and whether the public is invited. These are the counts we plan from:
Cleveland doesn't publish a restroom ratio for events, but the City does ask you to show your plan. The special event application has a sanitation section with lines for portable toilets and hand hygiene stations, so you'll be naming a number before anyone approves your event. Having that figure right the first time saves a round trip with the Division of Special Events.
Start with our porta potty calculator, then let your account manager adjust it for the gates, the bar, and how long the crowd stays.

Choose by the people using the unit and the length of the job. Everything is laid out on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty handles most Cleveland work. Toilet, urinal, paper holder, and sanitizer, which is what a rehab crew, a roofing job, or a backyard graduation party needs.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a level entry, a wide door, grab bars, and turning space inside. Plan on one for any event the public can walk into.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes and controls odor far better. It's the step up guests notice at a wedding or a company outing.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts a sink, soap, and a mirror inside the stall, which helps at family events and near food tents.
The Solar Porta Potty powers its light and fan from a roof panel. It's the right unit for a lakefront site, a vacant-lot staging area, or anywhere the power isn't on yet.
The Handwashing Station is a stand-alone sink with fresh water, soap, and towels. Cleveland's food rules are specific about handwashing, so put one at every food booth.
The Restroom Trailer brings multiple stalls, running water, and heating and cooling, which earns its price at a wedding or a long commercial build.
Tell your account manager who's coming and for how long, and they'll put the mix together.
A unit on private property needs no City permit. Your driveway, a fenced job site, a church lot, or a private parking area are all fine. Public right-of-way is a different matter.
Streets and sidewalks: The City's Division of Assessments and Licenses issues the permits for obstructing a street, a sidewalk, or a parking meter. Its licenses and permits page lists the forms, and the street permit line is 216-664-2174. The office is at 601 Lakeside Avenue, Room 122. Plan ahead, because the application asks for submission 12 to 14 business days before work starts, with firm start and finish dates and daily work hours. An application that says the dates are undecided gets turned away.
Pedestrian access: If your setup blocks the sidewalk, you have to post signs and route people to the nearest signalized crossing, unless the City's traffic engineers tell you otherwise.
Events: A special event permit is required for an event on City parks or properties, and completed applications must reach the Division of Special Events 14 days before the event. The office is at 500 Lakeside Avenue, and you can call 216-664-2484. If the event closes a street, that obstruction goes in at least 14 days out as well, and it gets a separate committee review.
Food vendors: Cleveland runs its own health district, so temporary food licenses come from the Cleveland Department of Public Health. Applications must arrive at least 10 days before the event, and you can reach the food safety program at 216-664-4897. Handwashing is spelled out: every person working the booth has to be able to wash hands frequently, for 20 seconds, and hand sanitizer does not count as a substitute. Where four or more vendors need licenses, the event coordinator gathers and submits them all.
State routes: Some roads through the area belong to the state, and placing anything in that right-of-way needs an Ohio Department of Transportation permit through the district office. Your account manager can figure out who controls your frontage and point you to the right office before delivery.

Pick firm, level ground first. Freeze and thaw works on everything here, so a spot that was solid in November can be soft in March, and a unit sitting crooked is both unpleasant and harder to pump.
Leave the driver a real path. A service truck needs to reach within about 25 feet of the door. On a tight residential street, that often means keeping a car off the apron on service day. On a job site, keep the units within a couple hundred feet of the work so the crew isn't walking the block.
Keep distance from food and water. Put handwashing stations at the food tents and the units further off and downwind. Stay back from catch basins, the river, and the lakefront, since nothing from a unit may enter a storm drain.
Weekly service is standard. Each visit pumps the tank, washes and disinfects the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. In Ohio, whoever owns a portable toilet has to have a registered septage hauler empty it before it reaches capacity, and haulers register with the board of health in every district they work in and log the date, the volume, and the plant that took the load.
In Cuyahoga County the destination is public knowledge. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District requires a District permit for every truck hauling portable toilet waste, and its rules name the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant on Canal Road in Cuyahoga Heights as the only approved place to unload. Nothing goes into a sewer, manhole, or catch basin. Your account manager can confirm your service days and explain the route for your site.

Most Cleveland deliveries happen within 24 to 48 hours of a booking. Three to five days of notice is more comfortable, and summer festival weekends, graduation season, and fall game days should be booked weeks ahead, because the whole county pulls from the same supply on those dates.
Five things that make delivery go right:
Prime Dumpster covers the whole city and the suburbs around it on the same routes, from Detroit Shoreway and Ohio City out to Lakewood, Parma, Cleveland Heights, Garfield Heights, Shaker Heights, Euclid, Parma Heights, Maple Heights, and Brook Park. Whether the job sits on a west side side street, an industrial lot in the Flats, or a park along the lake, we build one delivery and service plan around it.

A standard unit in Cleveland averages $199–$349, and an accessible unit averages $200–$300. Deluxe units run $300–$400, and a restroom trailer starts at $1,500. The number of units, the rental length, and the service frequency set your total. Your account manager confirms the figure in your free quote.
Plan one unit per 50 guests over about four hours, then add 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served. A 250-guest festival afternoon works out to five units, plus handwashing stations near food. Any public event should include at least one accessible unit on a firm, level path.
Federal worker-safety rules allow one facility for a crew of 20 or fewer. Above 20 workers it's one toilet seat and one urinal for every 40, and above 200 workers one of each per 50. Keep units near the work face, and tell your account manager when the crew size changes.
A standard rental includes a weekly visit to pump the tank, clean and disinfect the interior, and restock paper and sanitizer. Ohio requires that a registered hauler empty a unit before it reaches capacity, so busy events and large crews often need a second visit in the same week.
No. A unit on your own driveway, yard, or fenced job site needs no City of Cleveland permit. Putting one on a street, a sidewalk, or a metered space does need an obstruction permit, and events on City property need an event permit. Your account manager can help you work out which applies.
A standard unit is a single narrow stall with a toilet, urinal, and sanitizer. An accessible unit is wider, has no step at the door, and adds grab bars with room to turn a wheelchair. Public events should include accessible units in each cluster. Units used only by a construction crew are exempt.
Weekend rentals are written as a standard three-day period, so one day and three days usually cost close to the same. A standard unit averages $199–$349, a deluxe flushing unit $300–$400, and a handwashing station $150–$250. Your account manager will set the delivery and pickup windows.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll pick the units, schedule the service visits around your busiest days, and quote you a clear number on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
