Located near Lake Erie in Cuyahoga County, Euclid, Ohio offers many interesting attractions and activities for its inhabitants.
Euclid was founded as part of the Connecticut Western Reserve in 1796. It became an official township in 1809 and was later incorporated into a village in 1903 and finally a city on July 8th, 1930. The original settlement included two communities called Newington or Euclid Centre and East Euclid or Whitelock City which were eventually combined into one municipality known as Euclid today.
This vibrant community offers plenty to do including visiting historic sites such as Sims Lohman House Museum, built by William Henry Sims in 1837; touring Holden Arboretum, spanning more than 3,600 acres; and exploring North Coast Harbor/Lakefront Reservation located along Cleveland’s lakefront featuring public gardens, trails, beaches, marinas, and playgrounds perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.
