Home Areas We Service Arizona Porta Potty Rental Mesa, Arizona 85204

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals throughout Mesa, Arizona, for the city's large construction base, for events across its parks and downtown, and for the steady flow of home additions and reroofs in its older neighborhoods. Mesa is the biggest city in the East Valley and the one place in this metro whose building code names a portable restroom as a lawful way to satisfy a requirement, which tells you something about how much homebuilding happens here. We coordinate units, servicing and placement through vetted local partners, with one account manager on your order.
Your cost comes down to the rental term, how many units you need, how often the service crew calls, and how easily a truck reaches you. Below you will find Mesa's own building code provision, how the city handles event restrooms, and what the obstruction rules mean for a unit on a Mesa street.
Term length is the first thing to settle. Mesa has a lot of long bookings, from model home sales offices that run for a selling season to commercial builds that run for years, and those earn a far better weekly rate than a short booking would.
Unit count drives the rest. A single unit on a reroof is one price. Twelve units plus accessible units and handwashing stations for a downtown event is a different conversation, and worth quoting early.
Service visits are the variable most people underestimate. A quiet site takes one a week. A busy one, or any unit standing through a Mesa summer, often wants two or three.
Access is usually straightforward in Mesa's grid, which helps. The exceptions are gated commercial yards, tight alley approaches in the older central streets, and sites behind temporary fencing. Mention those when you call your account manager so the right vehicle is sent.

Request a Quote NowMesa has two answers, and they come from different places.
For construction, the number comes from Maricopa County. Its health code requires sanitary toilets at a ratio of at least one per 20 people on a construction, erection, alteration, repair or demolition project, of a water-flushed or chemical type the county approves, located on or within 200 feet of each work area. The duty runs before the project proceeds, not once the crew arrives. That is stricter than the federal table at any crew above 20.
The federal three-tier table sets the national floor and the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health enforces it here, having adopted the federal standards by reference: one facility for 20 workers or fewer, one toilet seat and one urinal per 40 workers above that, and one per 50 once a site passes 200 workers. Handwashing is required on every site under the same federal rule, with a narrow exception for mobile crews who have transport to nearby facilities.
Mesa also has a building code provision worth knowing about if you build or sell homes. The city's residential code amendment deals with restrooms at model home sales offices, and where public restrooms are provided for residential development models it allows exactly two methods. One is converting a ground-floor model home restroom into an accessible unisex facility. The other is providing one accessible unisex portable toilet and handwashing unit on an accessible route. The unit is then removed when the sales office permanently closes. So on a Mesa sales office, a portable toilet is not a workaround, it is one of the two routes the code names, and the rental runs to the life of the sales operation rather than to a fixed date.
For events, Mesa sets no ratio and keeps the judgment to itself. The special event application requires a site plan showing where specific uses sit within the area, and it lists restroom facilities among them alongside booths, stands, stages and tents. Separately, an event must not create unsafe or dangerous conditions as reasonably determined by the Licensing Administrator, and the code gives inadequate restroom facilities as an example of such a condition. That means your count is reviewed by a named officer with no published figure to measure against. Where the county table reaches your event it sets a minimum of one toilet per 100 people in attendance within 200 feet, so use that as the floor and get your number agreed. A sound planning figure for a private function is one unit per 50 guests over four hours, plus 15 to 20 percent with alcohol, and Prime Dumpster's porta potty calculator runs it quickly.

The Standard Porta Potty covers crews and casual events, and it is the bulk of what moves in Mesa.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty is the unit Mesa's model home provision is pointing at, with a level entry, grab bars and interior turning room. It is also what a public event needs.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flush and fresh-water rinse, which suits a wedding or a corporate function.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink holds the handwashing inside, useful on a narrow lot or next to food service.
The Solar Porta Potty lights itself for evening events and early starts on unpowered sites.
Handwashing Stations stand alongside, usually one per ten toilets, and a sales office unit pairs with one by code.
The Restroom Trailer is the pick for a long site office or a guest-facing event. Browse the full porta potty options and ask your account manager to compare two options on cost.
On private property with the owner's consent, no city permit is normally needed for the unit itself.
Mesa's street position needs reading carefully, because the prohibition is wide and the two published routes are narrower than it. The city makes it unlawful for anyone to cause or permit a street, alley or right-of-way to become obstructed or encumbered by placing or leaving on it any personal property of any kind or character. A portable restroom set down in the right-of-way is plainly personal property, so the bar reaches it.
The first exception is a permit for the construction, alteration or repair of a portion of the street, alley or right-of-way itself, issued by the Development Services Manager. That is a permit for working on the street, not for placing an object beside a building job.
The second is the Right-of-Way Encroachment Permit from the City Engineer. That one is written around encroachment with any foundation, wall, fence, post, or other structure or any cohesive ground-surfacing material. Whether a unit merely set down counts as a structure in that list is not settled by anything the code says, so we make no claim either way. What is clear is that if the City Engineer does issue a permit, it may be revoked at any time, the applicant must hold the city harmless, and the applicant must agree in writing to remove the encroachment and restore the ground without compensation whenever the City Engineer asks.
The honest position for a customer is this: do not plan a Mesa street placement without written confirmation from the City Engineer first, and treat private ground as the default. There may be an administrative route the city has never published.
Mesa's own web host would not serve us while this was written, so the city code is the authority used here. For the county layer, Maricopa County Environmental Services is on 602-506-6616 and publishes the Maricopa County Environmental Health Code. Your account manager will identify the right office for your address.

Put units on level, firm ground with a straight approach. Mesa's county placement distances decide most sites: nothing within 20 feet of occupied premises, and nothing within 10 feet of any public thoroughfare or sidewalk, unless the county authorizes it. On an infill lot between occupied houses, those two lines can leave a single workable position, so settle it before the first delivery.
The county also requires that a unit be installed so servicing equipment has unobstructed access to remove waste. On a Mesa job with a tight laydown area, that means protecting a lane to the unit rather than assuming one will exist. Keep units clear of food service and drinking water as well.
Waste is pumped out and hauled away to an approved destination. The county requires removal by a vehicle it has permitted for non-hazardous liquid waste collection and transport, with its county-assigned number on the cab doors and the rear of the tank in letters at least three inches high. The destination is fixed when the permit issues and cannot change without county approval. Above the county sits a state license: Arizona's environmental quality department licenses septage hauling, and the license text reaches a fixed or transportable chemical toilet by name. Your supplier's permits therefore sit inside your own compliance picture, and your account manager can provide those details for your file.
A long placement has one more county condition attached. Where a unit or a waste holding tank is serving what turns out to be a permanent rather than temporary arrangement, the county may require its removal after two years. On a Mesa model home sales office or a multi-year commercial build, that is worth knowing at the start.
Summer is the servicing driver. The county's own wording requires emptying frequent enough to avoid overflow and insanitary conditions, and chemical held at a level that suppresses odors. In Mesa that generally means stepping up frequency from May through September.

Standard units can usually be arranged for a Mesa address within a day or two, helped by the city's central position in the East Valley.
Your account manager will confirm the delivery window on the first call.
From Mesa, Prime Dumpster covers the East Valley and beyond, including Tempe just west, Chandler and Gilbert to the south, Fountain Hills over the Salt River, and Phoenix and Scottsdale across the metro. Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Higley, Sunland Springs and the Superstition Freeway corridor all sit within a short delivery run.

Expect $199 to $349 for a standard Mesa unit, $200 to $300 for an accessible one, and $300 to $400 for a deluxe flushing model. Add $150 to $250 for a handwashing station, and $1,500 upward for a restroom trailer. Your account manager confirms the term, the servicing and delivery in a written quote.
Mesa publishes no ratio and reviews adequacy through its Licensing Administrator. Use the county floor of one toilet per 100 attending a public gathering, or one unit per 50 guests over four hours for a private function, adding 15 to 20 percent where alcohol is served.
Maricopa County requires at least one sanitary toilet per 20 people on a construction project, within 200 feet of each work area, in place before work proceeds. That is stricter than the federal table above 20 workers, so a Mesa crew should be sized to the county figure.
Weekly covers a small crew. Busy Mesa sites and summer bookings usually want two or three visits. Each visit pumps the tank, cleans the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Your account manager sets the frequency from how heavily the unit is used.
Normally no. A unit on private property in Mesa with the owner's consent needs no city permit. County setbacks still apply, including the 20 feet from occupied premises. Permits become relevant once the unit sits in a street, alley or right-of-way, where the city's obstruction rule bites.
An accessible unit is wider, enters at ground level, and has grab bars and turning room for a wheelchair user. A standard unit has none of that. Mesa's model home sales office provision calls specifically for an accessible unisex unit with handwashing on an accessible route.
A weekend standard unit sits near the lower end of $199 to $349, since one delivery and one collection cover it with no service visit between. A deluxe flushing unit for a weekend event runs $300 to $400. Your account manager prices your exact dates.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. If it is a sales office or a long build, say how many months you expect, because that changes both the unit choice and the rate.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
