Home Areas We Service Arizona Porta Potty Rental Scottsdale, Arizona 85255

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Scottsdale, Arizona, one of the few cities in the country that writes portable toilets straight into its event paperwork. Construction on the north Scottsdale pads, resort and golf events, art walk weekends in Old Town and spring training crowds all run under two rule books at once: the city's own special event guidebook, which requires temporary restrooms and wants our delivery times on the application, and the Maricopa County health code, which sets a tighter count on job sites than the federal rules do.
Your price depends on the unit, the quantity, how long it stays and the service rhythm. Below are our ranges, the two counts that apply to a crew and to a crowd, the setbacks that decide your site plan, and the booking lead times the city actually publishes.
The county count is the first thing that moves a Scottsdale construction quote, because it is stricter than most contractors expect. One toilet per twenty people on the project, with no step where that stops rising, means a large pad here carries more units than the same crew would in a neighboring state. Price the count first and the rest follows.
Summer is the second driver. Scottsdale runs above 100 degrees for months, and heat works on tank chemistry as much as on the crew. The county requires the chemical solution to be held at a level that prevents odors, which in July means a shorter interval between visits. Your account manager quotes a summer schedule and a winter one rather than a single yearly rate.
Distance is the third. North Scottsdale sites off the Loop are longer runs than Old Town, and that shows in the repeat service rather than the delivery. Tell your account manager where the gate is and the quote tightens.

On a construction project, the Maricopa County environmental health code is blunt. Nobody may start or carry on a construction, repair or razing project without first providing enough sanitary toilets, at a ratio of at least one per twenty people on the job. They must be water-flushed or chemical units the department approves, and they must sit on or within 200 feet of each work area. Three things follow:
Under the county sits the national floor, set out in the federal table: one facility for twenty workers or fewer, one toilet seat and one urinal per forty above twenty, and one of each per fifty beyond two hundred. Arizona's own safety division adopts the federal standards and writes nothing of its own on sanitation, so in Scottsdale the county rule is the one that bites. A handwashing facility is required on every job site regardless.
At a public gathering, the same county code sets a published minimum. Toilet facilities must be adequate for the expected attendance, must sit within 200 feet of the gathering, and must number at least one toilet per 100 people, or more if the environmental health officer says so. The code also lets permanent off-site restrooms count, but only with written permission from their owner, free public use for the whole event, and signs at the site pointing the way.
Treat one per hundred as a legal floor, not a comfort target. Lines form long before that number is reached, so we plan events at one unit per fifty guests over roughly four hours and add fifteen to twenty percent once alcohol is served. The Prime Dumpster calculator gives you a first figure, and your account manager will reconcile it with what the city and county want to see.

The Standard Porta Potty is the county-approved chemical unit for pads, framing crews and smaller gatherings. The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a level entry, grab bars and interior turning space, and in Scottsdale it is not optional at an event: the city requires at least one accessible unit with a proper approach wherever portable restrooms are provided.
For a resort lawn wedding or a guest-facing evening in Old Town, the Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty offers a flush and clean bowl water, and the Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts washing inside the cabin.
A Solar Porta Potty lights its own interior, which suits a desert lot with no temporary power. A Handwashing Station belongs beside every food vendor and on every crew site. A Restroom Trailer gives separate air-conditioned stalls, which in a Scottsdale summer is the difference between guests staying and leaving. If you choose a trailer, the city asks you to identify water and electrical sources on the application. Compare the range on our porta potty options page.
On private ground, the unit itself needs no city permit. A standard unit on a fenced pad or a contractor's staging area is equipment on private property, subject to the county placement rules below.
Events are different, and Scottsdale is unusually direct. A special event permit is required for any temporary activity held outdoors on public or private property that is inconsistent with the legal use of that property and open to the public by advertisement or invitation, with or without charge. Private property does not exempt you. Block parties and private celebrations at a residence, such as a birthday or a family wedding, are expressly not special events.
The city's special event guidebook then does something few cities do. Temporary restroom facilities must be provided at an event unless enough public restrooms in the immediate area are open to the public. At least one unit must be accessible, with a proper approach. Temporary toilets may not stand within 25 feet of an entryway to an adjacent business or home unless that owner or tenant approves. And the locations, delivery and pickup dates, times and quantities for portable restrooms or trailers have to be submitted as part of the application.
That last one changes how you should order. Our schedule becomes part of your permit file, so the order is settled before you file, not after. Your account manager will write the locations, quantities and delivery and pickup windows in a form you can attach. Portable toilets also have to appear on the drawn site plan, alongside tents, booths, beer gardens and trash containers.
The deadlines are firm at both ends: 60 calendar days ahead for a standard permit, 30 for a simple permit, 15 for an administrative approval, and nothing accepted more than a year ahead. Tourism and Events sits at 7447 E Indian School Road on 480-312-7177, and City Hall is at 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd on 480-312-3111.

Scottsdale placement runs on numbers rather than judgment, so measure before you commit. The county code keeps chemical units at least 20 feet from occupied premises and at least 10 feet from any public thoroughfare or sidewalk unless the department allows otherwise. The city adds its 25 feet from an adjacent entryway at an event. Work to the tightest figure and your plan clears both.
Two more county rules shape the layout. Units must be installed so servicing equipment has clear access to remove waste, so never pin one behind stored material. And on a job site each unit sits on or within 200 feet of the work area it serves, which on a large north Scottsdale pad means clusters rather than one block at the gate.
Set units on level, compacted ground, out of the wash lines that carry monsoon runoff, and downwind of seating. A unit meant for male use includes a urinal at least 20 inches from the toilet seat opening, which is standard on ours.
Service in Maricopa County is spelled out, not just promised. Toilet paper has to be there at all times. The tank has to hold an approved chemical solution at a level that keeps the contents from going septic and causing odors. Tanks are emptied before they can overflow. Spills are cleaned at once, and the owner keeps a record of any spill over one gallon for a year, with the date, location, amount, method and disinfectant used. Our standard interval is weekly, moving to twice weekly or daily in summer heat, and your account manager sets it with you.
The waste leaves in a vehicle the county department permits for non-hazardous liquid waste. Arizona also licenses the hauler vehicle itself. That state license covers a vehicle used to store, collect, transport or dispose of waste from a septic tank, privy, sewage vault or fixed or transportable chemical toilet. It applies at 750 gallons and above, cannot be moved from one vehicle to another, and runs a year. Ask your account manager for those details in writing.
One Scottsdale limit is worth planning around. The county may require a portable restroom or holding tank to be removed after two years if it decides the use is no longer temporary. On a multi-year project, raise that early so the long-term answer is a permanent connection rather than a surprise.

Standard units for a Scottsdale job site are usually a next-day or two-day delivery once we have the gate details. Events run on the city's clock instead. With a 60-day filing deadline and your delivery times inside the application, lock the units eight to ten weeks out. Trailers and accessible units for a spring weekend go earlier still, because resort and tournament season clears the valley fleet.
Our Scottsdale trucks also run the rest of the valley: Tempe just south, Phoenix west across the canal, Fountain Hills northeast past the McDowells, Chandler and Mesa in the southeast valley and Glendale out west. Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Carefree, Gilbert, Apache Junction and Queen Creek sit inside the same routing, so a builder with sites across Maricopa County can keep one schedule. Your account manager will say which depot covers your address.

Scottsdale pricing starts at $199 to $349 for a standard unit, with $200 to $300 for an accessible model and $300 to $400 for a flushing or sink one. A solar unit is $500 to $600, a handwashing station $150 to $250, and a trailer begins at $1,500. The county count and summer service frequency usually decide a Scottsdale total.
Maricopa County sets a floor of one toilet per 100 people, within 200 feet of the gathering. We plan tighter, at one unit per fifty guests over about four hours plus fifteen to twenty percent with alcohol. The city also requires at least one accessible unit wherever portable restrooms are used.
In Maricopa County, at least one toilet per twenty people on the project, provided before work starts and sited on or within 200 feet of each work area. That is stricter than the federal table above twenty workers, and it keeps rising with no upper step.
Weekly is our standard: pump the tank, clean and sanitize the interior, restock paper and soap, and recharge the chemical solution. County rules require the solution to be held at a level that prevents odors and the tank emptied before it overflows, so summer sites here usually move to twice weekly.
No city permit covers the unit on private ground. What applies is the county placement code, which keeps units 20 feet from occupied premises and 10 feet from any public sidewalk or thoroughfare unless the department authorizes something closer.
An accessible unit is wider, with a ground-level entry, grab bars and clear floor space to turn a wheelchair. Scottsdale requires at least one accessible unit with a proper approach for access wherever portable restrooms are provided at an event, so it is a permit item here, not an upgrade.
A single standard unit over a weekend normally sits inside the $199 to $349 range, with Friday delivery and Monday pickup. If the weekend is a permitted event, the delivery and pickup times themselves go on the application, so book before you file. Your account manager will confirm both.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We will send back the county count, the setbacks drawn to scale, and the quantities, locations and delivery and pickup times the city wants attached to your application.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
