Regular building and household debris is welcome: framing, drywall, roofing, siding, flooring, cabinets, doors, fencing, carpet, furniture and general junk.
Colorado's statewide list of banned material is short, and it is worth knowing exactly how it is framed. The state publishes it as residential materials prohibited from disposal at a solid waste site or facility, and it names lead-acid batteries, liquid wastes or wastes containing free liquids unless the facility is specifically approved for them, used oil, waste tires, and waste electronic devices and computers.
Because that list is written for households, a contractor load is governed by the receiving facility's own acceptance rules on top of it. In practice the same items stay out, and so do paint, solvents, thinners, fuels, pesticides, pool chemicals, asbestos and pressurized cylinders. Appliances holding refrigerant need that removed by a certified program first.
Erie's own household recycling drop-off is residents-only and takes no construction material at all, which is covered in the next section. If an item is borderline, ask your account manager before it goes in the container.
