Everyday construction and household debris is fine. The limits come from Indiana law and from what the receiving landfill will accept at the scale.
Indiana will not let a landfill take whole waste tires. A generator has to route them to a tire retailer, a manufacturer, a retread shop, or a registered tire processor, and a disposal site can demand extra processing or refuse tire material entirely. Keep tires out of the container and tell us about them when you book.
Electronics have their own prohibition. Indiana households, schools, and small businesses cannot throw away televisions, monitors, computers, tablets, e-readers, printers, keyboards, DVD players, or digital photo frames. One TV buried in a full container can put the whole load at risk.
Yard waste is also barred from Indiana landfills, including leaves, brush, and woody material longer than three feet, and lead-acid batteries cannot go into a container bound for disposal.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, used oil, and asbestos stay out of any standard dumpster. Vanderburgh County takes most of those at its collection days, though latex paint, appliances, and electronics are not accepted there.
