Lumber, drywall, shingles, siding, flooring, carpet, cabinets, fixtures, decking and furniture are ordinary roll-off material in Westfield.
Indiana law adds a few items of its own. Landfills in the state cannot accept whole waste tires, and spent lead-acid batteries are barred from disposal. Open dumping and open burning are illegal statewide, so burning scrap lumber on a Westfield lot is not a lawful alternative to a container.
The general exclusions apply too. Paint, solvents, fuel, motor oil, antifreeze, pressurized cylinders and asbestos stay out of a Westfield container. Appliances need their refrigerant removed before disposal.
The City lists a bulk trash day for residents. For a single large item, that may be enough. For a remodel, a container is the right tool.
Tell your account manager what is coming out, and the separate routes are arranged with the container.
