Work out the volume first, then sanity-check the weight, then look at where the truck can set it down. Prime Dumpster carries five sizes.
The 10-Yard Dumpster is the compact option, and it is the one that fits the short city driveways near downtown. Use it for a bathroom gut, a deck teardown, or a load of broken concrete. Heavy material belongs in this size, because the weight runs out well before the walls do.
The 15-Yard Dumpster covers the middle ground. It handles a garage, an attic, or carpet and underlay pulled out of several rooms, without taking much more space than the 10-yard.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is the size most Mishawaka homeowners end up booking. It takes a whole-house cleanout, a kitchen and bath done at once, or a tear-off on a typical two-story roof.
The 30-Yard Dumpster is built for additions, full gut jobs, and new homes going up on the east side of the city.
The 40-Yard Dumpster is our biggest. It suits commercial demolition and the larger build-outs along the Grape Road and Douglas Road corridors, where debris is bulky but light.
If you are torn between two sizes, describe the job to your account manager and they will settle it with you.
