The 10-Yard Dumpster is our smallest. It suits a bathroom, a small porch demolition, or a shed. It is also the right pick for brick, block, and concrete, where weight runs out long before space does.
The 15-Yard Dumpster fits a garage or basement clearing, a kitchen tear-out, or a single-layer shingle job on a small roof. It is the sensible step up when a 10-yard looks tight.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is the size most Logansport homeowners land on. It takes a full-house cleanout or a multi-room remodel and still parks on a normal driveway.
The 30-Yard Dumpster handles a large addition, a new build, or a demolition that mixes lumber, drywall, and fixtures in volume.

A container on a city street, alley, or right-of-way is a different matter and the rules are specific. You apply at the Logansport Street Department at 612 Race Street, at least 48 hours before the container is placed, and the city has 48 hours to approve or deny it, plus another day if a weekend or holiday falls in between. Approval is not to be unreasonably withheld. Call 574-753-4610 to start it.
Four conditions are worth planning around. A permit runs for a maximum of 30 calendar days, and an extension has to be requested at least ten days before it expires. Each upper corner of the container must carry a square foot of reflective taping. No container may sit within 75 feet of an intersection unless the Board of Public Works and Safety approves it in writing. And the permit may require barricades or traffic barrels alongside the travel lane, with the approved permit placard posted so it is visible from the street.
One more thing that catches people out: the duty runs to whoever owns the container as well as the customer, so the placement has to be confirmed before the truck arrives. Give your account manager the exact address and they will make sure the permit side is lined up with your delivery date.
Ordinary building and cleanout debris is welcome. The exclusions come from Indiana's statewide disposal rules and from the city's own ordinance.
Indiana keeps two things out of landfills by law. Whole tires cannot be accepted at a landfill, with only narrow exceptions, and tire retailers have to take old tires back when you buy new ones. Spent automotive batteries may not be landfilled either, and dealers are required to accept the old one with a sale. Open dumping and open burning of solid waste are illegal statewide.
Logansport's own ordinance lists what the landfill will not take: automotive batteries, paint products, insecticides, antifreeze, tires, and appliances containing Freon. Burning trash or waste material, building materials included, is a nuisance in the city and is prohibited, so a container is the route rather than a burn pile.
Hazardous waste, liquids, solvents, and fuel stay out of a standard container as always. Asbestos needs a licensed abatement route rather than a container. Freon appliances need the gas removed by a certified technician first, and the Street Department can do that for a fee. If one item has you unsure, ask your account manager before it goes in.
