Find Sustainable Porta Potty
in El Paso
At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across El Paso, Texas, from the east side out to the Lower Valley and the Westside. Housing and warehouse construction along the Loop 375 corridor, fiestas and music events downtown and in the parks, desert trail races, church festivals and long days on job sites in summer heat all keep portable toilets busy in this city.
What you pay depends on the unit, the number you need, how long they stay and how often a truck services them. Below you'll find price ranges, a way to size your order, the City offices that handle each approval, and the placement details that matter in a desert climate.
Every range above assumes a standard three day rental, which is how a weekend booking in El Paso is normally written. A Saturday-only party and a Friday to Sunday run usually price the same.
Work that runs for months is quoted on a four week cycle instead, and the weekly figure settles once the units are standing on the site.
Service visits make up the rest of the bill. Each one pumps and rinses the tank, cleans the inside and restocks supplies. Summer here is long and dry, so heat and heavy use push a lot of sites past one visit a week.
Distance and access matter more in El Paso than in a compact city. A unit on a paved lot near a main road is simple. A unit out past the Loop, on a desert lot with no graded road, or inside a fenced yard that needs an escort, costs the driver time on every visit. Your account manager will work through all of that with you.

A 100 degree afternoon drives usage and water consumption up together, so pair units with handwashing stations. Our porta potty calculator gives you a starting count, and your account manager will confirm it.
Pick by who uses it and how long they're out there. Each one is described on our porta potty options page.
The Standard Porta Potty covers job sites, yard work and casual gatherings, with a toilet, urinal, paper holder and sanitizer inside.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty has a wide door, ground-level entry, grab bars and turning room for a wheelchair. Public events need at least one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty flushes like a home toilet, which is what quinceañera and wedding guests expect.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink carries a sink, soap and mirror inside the unit, good for family events and food-heavy gatherings.
The Solar Porta Potty uses the sun for its light and fan, which fits desert sites perfectly, since sun is the one thing never in short supply here.
The Handwashing Station brings fresh water, soap and towels, and it matters doubly where the City supplies no water at all.
The Restroom Trailer has private stalls, running water and air conditioning, which is the difference between comfortable and miserable in June.
Not sure what to order? Tell your account manager about your crowd or crew and they'll put the mix together.
On private ground, your own yard, a lot you control or a fenced job site, you normally need no City permit in El Paso. Public property is a different story, and the City is unusually direct about portable toilets.
City parks: A City park permit is required specifically for portable bathrooms, listed right beside amplified sound, 50 or more attendees and jumping balloons. The application asks you to state the quantity and the supplier. Submit the request at least 30 days ahead. Plan on a security guard for every 100 people, and remember that nothing drives onto the grass, so the drop point has to be reachable from a hard surface.
Streets, alleys and sidewalks: The City requires a special event permit for an event on a City street, alley or sidewalk, one lasting more than 24 hours, one covering more than a block or intersection, or one closing a street. The application wants a legible site map, and that map has to show where your portable restrooms stand along with structures, dumpsters, trash cans and emergency access. Complete applications go in between one year and 30 days before the date. Planning and Inspections answers at 915-212-0104.
State highways: Several main routes through town are state highways rather than City streets, and the Texas Department of Transportation has to agree before anything sits in that right-of-way.
Food vendors: A temporary food booth needs a valid City permit, filed at the One Stop Shop on Texas Avenue, with each booth owner applying separately and the permit posted where customers can see it. Potable water has to be on hand for food prep, utensil washing and handwashing, and all sewage and liquid waste has to be disposed of lawfully. Temporary events cannot run more than 14 consecutive days.
If you don't know which office covers your spot, ask your account manager and we'll find it for you.
Desert placement comes down to firm footing, shade and wind.
Set units on level, compacted ground. Loose sand and caliche dust look solid and are not, and El Paso's spring winds will push an empty unit that isn't anchored or sheltered. Put units against a building, a fence or a stack of materials where you can, and leave the service truck a clear, graded approach.
Keep units about 15 feet off any food service, and away from arroyos and storm channels, which run hard in a monsoon downpour. On a job site, set them close enough that a crew isn't walking far in July. In a park, remember the City provides no water, so plan a handwashing station in from the start.
Weekly service is the baseline, and summer sites often need more. Texas requires anyone hauling chemical toilet waste to be registered with the state environmental agency, and El Paso Water uses that same definition for the haulers it deals with. Registered haulers list the disposal sites they use and log each pickup and drop-off on a trip ticket.
From there the load goes to a plant permitted to take it. El Paso Water runs the city's treatment plants, including the Haskell R. Street plant and the Fred Hervey Water Reclamation Plant, which cleans wastewater to drinking water standards and puts it back into the aquifer. Your account manager can explain how the service schedule on your order is arranged.

Most El Paso orders can be delivered inside 24 to 48 hours, and three to five days of notice helps us match units to the job. For a spring festival, a fall wedding or a race weekend, book several weeks ahead. If your site is east of the Loop or out toward the county line, give us an extra day, because those runs are long.
Use these tips for a smooth delivery:
Prime Dumpster arranges porta potty delivery throughout El Paso and across El Paso County, including Horizon City, Socorro, San Elizario, Clint, Fabens, Canutillo, Anthony, Vinton and the unincorporated stretches of the Lower Valley. El Paso sits a long way from the rest of Texas, so our nearby porta potty page list here is short by design, and local partner coverage does the work instead. Whether your site is on the Westside, out on the east mesa or down in the valley, we plan delivery, servicing and pickup around your dates.
A standard porta potty in El Paso averages $199–$349, and an ADA-compliant unit averages $200–$300. Deluxe flushing units and sink units run $300–$400, and restroom trailers start at $1,500. Unit count, rental length and service frequency decide the total. Your account manager confirms it in a free quote.
Plan 1 unit per 50 guests at a four hour event, and add 15 to 20 percent when alcohol is served. Long events and hot afternoons need more. Include at least one accessible unit when the public is invited, and add a handwashing station near food. Your account manager can review your plan before you book.
Texas follows the federal table. A crew of 20 or fewer needs 1 facility. Beyond that, plan 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal for every 40 workers, then 1 of each per 50 above 200 workers. In desert heat, keep units near the work. Your account manager can size the order to your crew.
Weekly service is the standard. The driver pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the interior and restocks paper and sanitizer. Heavy crews, public events and El Paso summer heat usually mean two or three visits a week. Your account manager will set the schedule around how hard the units work.
Normally not. A unit on your own lot, driveway or fenced job site needs no City permit in El Paso. A City park is different: you need a permit specifically to bring portable bathrooms in. Street and sidewalk placement needs approval too. Your account manager can find the right office for you.
A standard unit suits one person stepping up into it. An ADA unit has a wider door, a flat ground-level entry, grab bars and space to turn a wheelchair. Public events need accessible units in every group of toilets. Units used only by a construction crew are exempt from that rule.
A standard unit averages $199–$349, and weekend rentals here are priced as a three day rental. One Saturday usually costs about what Friday through Sunday costs. Flushing units, sink units and restroom trailers price higher. Your account manager will confirm your weekend total and the delivery window.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. We'll size the order, build a service schedule around the heat, and give you a straight price on the call.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
