The Standard Porta Potty is the everyday unit for job sites, ball fields, and home projects. It has a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and hand sanitizer.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty gives level entry, a wide door, grab bars, and turning space for a wheelchair, which is exactly what the City asks for at larger events.

A unit sitting on private ground, a yard, a pasture, or a fenced job site, generally needs no City permit in Nacogdoches. Events and public ground are where the process starts.
Event permits: Any event that uses city services or happens on city property needs a City event permit. Small events under 500 attendees apply at least 45 days out; large events over 500, running events, and parades apply at least 90 days out. Staff give you feedback within 14 days, and you should not promote the event before approval lands. Questions go to the Community Services Coordinator at 936-559-2938.
Restroom proof: The City wants proof that you have rented restrooms 14 days before the event date, and organizers, not the City, keep them supplied and cleaned during the event.
Fees: The guidelines set a base permitting fee of $100 for a small event and $250 for a large one. An alcohol permit adds $50. Street closure maps run $50 for a single street and $100 for a multi-street or parade closure, with security billed separately.
Main Street: Main Street through downtown is a state highway. Closing it for more than four hours takes City Council review and final approval from the state transportation department, filed at least 90 days ahead.
Food vendors: Each food booth needs a separate temporary food permit from the City Health Inspector unless the vendor is already permitted here, and the organizer files a vendor list with the Health Inspector at least 14 days before the festival. Booths also have to leave a clear 20-foot travel path and stay off sidewalks.

Choosing the right spot saves time on every visit.
Set units on firm, level ground. East Texas sand and clay soften quickly under a summer downpour, and a bogged truck turns into a second trip. Keep a straight, wide path open, clear of low pine limbs, parked trailers, and locked gates.
Hold units at least 15 feet away from food service, and keep them back from creeks, stock ponds, and storm inlets that drain toward Bayou La Nana. On a job site, place them within a couple hundred feet of the work so a break stays a break.
Weekly service is the baseline, and hard-used sites get more. Texas requires a company hauling chemical toilet waste to be a registered transporter with the state environmental agency, so the truck emptying your units is registered and reports what it hauls.
The waste then goes to a plant that accepts it. Nacogdoches runs its own treatment plant on Rayburn Drive, permitted for an annual average of about 12.88 million gallons a day, with treated water released to Bayou La Nana and on toward the Angelina River.
