The City of Kingsville runs its own landfill, and it is where container loads from town go. The Kingsville Landfill is at 348 East C.R. 2130, Kingsville, TX 78363, run by the Landfill Division of City Public Works, and the number is 361-595-0092. Published hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the last drop off at 3:30 p.m., and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the last drop off at 11:30 a.m. It is closed Sundays, and the City asks customers to call ahead because the site may close in bad weather.
The City's own ordinance names dumpsters as the compliance route for exactly the material it covers. Where brick, broken concrete, plaster, sand, gravel, roofing material, dirt, carpet or lumber accumulates from construction or demolition, the owner must either store it in a commercial receptacle such as a dumpster, demolition box or metal roll-off container, or get rid of it within one week at their own expense. The Solid Waste Services Department will not collect that material at the curb, and the responsibility sits with the contractor whether or not the contractor owns the property.
One operating note from the City's landfill page: state law requires all loads to be tied down and covered. The hauler tarps as standard, so that is handled.
Private collection of household garbage or trash for payment inside Kingsville requires a contract with the City. Construction and demolition material is defined out of both of those terms in the code, which is why a project container is treated differently from a household bin here. Your account manager will confirm how that split applies to your specific load before the unit is scheduled.
